When ANDREA server said that there was just a ripped on the seat after my wife cleaned if with wipes it came off.
    Mico T.

We dined at Broken Yolk in Glendora today at 7:31 AM, and after years of coming here, this was by far the worst experience we've had. Andrea seated us, and my wife immediately noticed that the booth seat appeared to have syrup or some sticky substance on it. Since the restaurant was practically empty, she politely asked if we could move to another table. Instead of accommodating a simple request, Andrea dismissed us and said, "It's just ripped, don't worry about it." My wife then cleaned the seat herself with a wipe, and residue came off, proving there was actually something on it. What really upset us was that shortly afterward another family came in, and Andrea asked them where they wanted to sit. We were never given that option. The difference in how we were treated was obvious and left us feeling discriminated against as Asian customers. Management needs to address this. A customer should never be dismissed for raising a reasonable concern, especially when there are plenty of available tables. This is not how you treat loyal customers, families, or anyone who walks through your doors. Andrea's attitude was unprofessional, and this experience left a very negative impression on us.

Because the Yolk's on me You played your part perfectly Went to me Just a pretty dream... Nothing like Yolking around with the fam to start the day. 4/5 Food Food was good nothing that is out of this world. What surprised my wife and I was how large the kids meal was. Portions are large which is probably why this is a popular breakfast spot, maybe the mimosas as well. 3/5 Service When we arrived we put our name down and sat insids to wait. They had a lot of tables open and had people waiting (weird but okay). Once we were sat down we didnt have a server come by until a manager came by to ask us if we had been helped. He got our drinks started and had a server come by to take our order. Good thing the kids had a menu they could color and keep entertained. They must have been short staffed because it seemed like all the servers were all over the place. We were overcharged for coffees so had to have them remove one. 4/5 Parking It can get crowded and hard to find a spot. Especially during the weekends it seems to be a club atmosphere with brunch. (Dancing to put yout name on the list). Overall maybe next time we will have better service but we had a pleasant experience. Psalm 16:1, God bless

My daughter and I visited this morning for breakfast. I had the churro French toast and she had the cali burrito. Food was plenty enough for us to share. The churro French toast was bursting with cinnamon and a swirl of cream on top. The burrito was loaded with egg, cheese, avocado, bacon, and home fries. Both were delicious.

Celebrating with family, I was so grateful to see the vegan options on the menu. I thought I would have to order oatmeal but no. I had the Spicy Vegan Bowl with a side of sourdough toast. It was delicious and the portion generous. The service was great and we enjoyed the outside patio. Thank you Broken Yolk Cafe for understanding that not all families eat alike

Broken Yolk Cafe is truly a local staple for brunch! We came on a rainy Sunday morning and were seated fairly quickly (within 10 minutes). The hostess was super kind and our server was very attentive, checking in with us often. We ended up ordering two savory dishes and one sweet dish to share: El Fuego Omelette: 5/5 The El Fuego omelette was so flavorful and there was a very nice kick of spice from the chorizo! The guacamole and pico de gallo added a refreshing twist and really elevated the dish as a whole. As for the omelette itself, it was cooked perfectly and there was a good amount of cheese, jalapeño and chorizo filling on the inside. This is honestly one of the best omelettes I have ever had, highly recommend! Classic Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffle Benedict: 4/5 We ended up doing the "Choose Any Two" and ending up selecting the classic eggs benedict and chicken and waffles benedict. The classic eggs benedict was delicious and was smothered in their creamy hollandaise sauce while the egg was beautifully poached to perfection. As for the chicken and waffle benedict, the taste was decent but we would not go for it again. We weren't a big fan of the hollandaise sauce and poached egg being paired with the chicken and waffle, and the waffle ended up being soggy at the bottom. However their classic eggs benedict is still a must try! Tiki Toast: 5/5 The tiki toast was so fluffy and grilled to a beautiful golden brown while the caramel drizzle on top added an additional depth of flavor! The coconut shreds on top were also not too overpowering and the berries scattered around the dish were very fresh. While the dish was already drenched with syrup the toast slices were still crispy on the outside. This dish is a perfect choice for those who have a sweet tooth! Overall, the experience here at Broken Yolk Cafe was a 5/5 on both food and service. The dishes have a fusion of different cultural foods and are very unique compared to other brunch places. The servers provide fantastic and quick service and I would 100% visit again!

too much food to even fit in one pic!

Tried something new yesterday since I wasn't super hungry, the açaí bowl, and it didn't disappoint. It went nicely with the tropical mimosa flight. The pear mimosa was my fav on the flight. My only complaint - how does a breakfast spot not carry peanut butter?! I asked for some on the side since the bowl didn't come with any, and the waitress said they don't carry peanut butter.

We visited the Glendora location on a Tuesday at 11. We got sat in a booth in the corner and sadly did not have great service. It was very noticeable that our waitress was not tending to us or other tables in the same section. Not sure if the restaurant was short staffed, but it really affected our experience. We had to ask someone else to bring us waters because our waitress did not come back for a long time. The food took forever, we even noticed a table get their food before us even though we sat before them. Although the food was good, per usual, the experience sucked and made me question if I'd like to go back.

We were a party of two and we went in one hour before closing on a busy Saturday. There was a five minutes wait and we were seated right after that. Server was nice and knew the menu by heart and took really good care of us. Food came out quick "see pictures". Everything tasted delicious my first time here and definitely will not be my last time. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. Ambience was nice mixed crowd, but it was a full house so that's where you know they are doing something right, good job!

Love this restaurant for breakfast! Customer service is on point on all levels. Love that they have a balloon person walking around the restaurant making creative balloons for the little ones. The food is delicious and the coffee hit the spot. We also enjoyed some lemon ricotta pancakes (no picture). Wish there was a location closer to Alhambra.

YO jessica killed it with the service today! She was attentive and gave good advice about what creamer to get for my coffee. Our french toast was a little late, but she reassured our feelings and still delivered great service! Also a great and clean backyard patio if you want to eat with yo dog .

Cali burrito great flavor, to bad it's served with cold rice and bad tasting beans!

Don't think we will be returning. I come here because we are local and I usually enjoy the open eating area and the staff are so friendly. But the food keeps going down hill. The temperatures are never hot. I don't understand because they have food servers, who just pick up and bring the food from the warmers, but our food is always just like warm to cold. This day was no different. Husband ordered the Cali burrito with the rice and beans on the side. The burrito came out hot not with house potatoes but with hash browns in it. The rice was cold and the beans tasted burnt. The waitress brought out new rice but it was still cold. She apologized and offered another side, he went with fries. I ordered the American breakfast. Corned beef has, hash browns, eggs over easy and sourdough toast. The eggs were over easy but only one had runny yolk the other was solid, hash browns were warm, but the corned beef was super hot, I tried to flag someone down for, but no one was there. I ate my 1 good egg and the perfect corned beef hash. By the time the waitress came around it was too late to really say anything about the hashbrowns. I didn't want new ones, I wanted to eat my breakfast as a whole. I didn't let her know about it, and how I could not even have my toast, which I did specify "well toasted" came out cold and rubbery, I could not even dip it into both eggs, because the 1 egg was over cooked. I mean you name on the restaurant is "6 Yolk". You guys should be able to cook your eggs perfectly. She brought me new toast, so I just had it with jam. I used to love coming here with my friends, family, and little dates with my kids, but now, it's not worth it, half the time, they don't make the hot chocolate the same, it depends which waitress you have, and now with the food never being served hot. I don't think we will be back!

We had such a great experience here! Nataly and Searrah were both exceptional--Nataly wasn't even our server, but when we mentioned we didn't enjoy our coffees, she took it upon herself to help us get fresh ones. They were absolutely delicious! Our actual server, Searrah was super quick and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Now for the food--the pumpkin pancakes are to die for! Just a heads-up, they're huge, so come hungry. The Impossible sausage was tasty with a little kick to it, so be prepared if you're sensitive to spice. And definitely try the hot coffees--they're a must! I'm leaving at least 10 pounds heavier, but a very happy 10 pounds heavier. Highly recommend!

    Is there a happy hour?

I would say that every hour there is a "happy hour" the way the staff act, but no, they do not have a happy hour. They are typically closed by late afternoon anyway.

Do they use real maple syrup or is it flavored corn syrup? Edit: it's flavored corn syrup, I just asked. It's rare to find a place that uses real maple syrup

Hello Dan, We do use a syrup that contains some corn syrup but we do offer agave or honey for a healthier option. Hope that helps!

Hello will you be using YELP Waitlist ?i t's so helpful & makes going to restaurants so much easier & more accessible. Not having it is a deterrent Thanks

I did ask about that when I was there, because there was still capacity limitations. I was told that there is a possibility, but for now there are using their internal operations system.

    Yes! In the patio area.

I tried the jalapeño bagel with cream cheese and it was immaculate. The cream cheese ratio was perfect (not skimpy, not overloaded), and the bagel was toasted exactly how it should be - nicely crisped but not hard to chew, and definitely not soft or soggy either. I also got the Firebird sandwich, and WOW. As a savory girl, this one really hit the spot. The amount of buffalo sauce, pickles, and Dijon mustard was perfect - flavorful and bold without being overbearing. The portion size was great too. It was filling, I could easily save half for later. For drinks, I ordered their seasonal iced cherry pie latte, and I'm honestly still thinking about it. I usually don't go for sweetened coffee drinks, but my oh my... this was genuinely one of the best lattes I've ever had. Balanced, smooth, and not overly sweet. I also tried the seasonal Love Machine matcha, and it was amazing. The matcha tasted high quality -- not bitter and not grassy at all - with the perfect amount of sweetness. On top of all that, the service was immaculate, and the music/vibe inside was so good. Definitely one of those places you want to keep coming back to. Great place to get work done as well, outlets are conveniently placed.

And if you hang out long enough, you can even grab a beer from a local brewery, which is a nice bonus I haven't tried much of the food yet, but the menu looks solid with plenty of good options. It was only a 2 minute walk from where we were so we decided to check it out. On the outside was a holiday themed drink menu and the Butter Me Up sounded like something we'd enjoy. It was a cookie butter latte which whipped cookie butter and a cookie crumble on top. It may sound very sweet but it was actually perfectly balanced and allowed the strength of the espresso to come through. The barista was very kind and patient with us. She also let us know that they were hosting a karaoke night later that day. We waited in the patio connected to the cafe for our drinks. Today, my friend and I ordered a Coke and an ice water and sat in the lounge area to work on assignments. The café was far from full, with only a couple of other people in the lounge and plenty of open seating available. After about an hour, the owner came over and rudely told us we were "holding two tables over a Coke" and pressured us to order more. I understand businesses need customers to make purchases, but there is a respectful way to communicate that. What made the situation worse was that after I ordered a coffee, she immediately turned to my friend and basically stared him down with a strict look, clearly expecting him to order something too. I explained that we were going to split the coffee, because we're both trying to lose weight, but she continued making the situation uncomfortable. Staring down a customer and making them feel pressured to spend more money is not how you treat paying customers. What makes this even more frustrating is that the menu is already severely overpriced for what is offered. On multiple occasions, I've heard the microwave running while food was being prepared. Paying premium prices for what appears to be microwaved food is disappointing enough without being pressured to spend even more. Even though we only ordered a Coke initially, and have only done that once before, we were still spending money. As regular customers who come here often, you would think that would be appreciated rather than criticized. Be thankful people are still choosing to spend money at your business. Honestly, after today's experience, it's no wonder this place is often empty. Customer service and hospitality matter, and making customers feel unwelcome, guilty, or pressured to spend more is a great way to drive them away. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I asked for my food to be packed to go and left. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. It's a cafe, not a 5 star restaurant. People want to come here to work on assignments or have a coffee and talk. Even though I didn't want to spend 9 dollars on a coffee, I still purchased something. Edit from her Google response: Now you guys see what type of owner she is by her response. Truly, truly a fake person, and we always spend money coming here (now she wants to lie and manipulate since I have her attention). I always purchase a coffee and more, and I have receipts to prove it. I do not use her WiFi for free, as I am not a rude person unlike her. I don't just order a soda like this owner claims; see my receipts on my credit card. My friend and I ordered drinks and were talking and doing assignments for about half an hour (while she and her waiter came up to us like 10 times to ask us to order, even though this is a cafe), even though we said we would order later. If you're broke, just say so, lady. Trust me, at this rate, this place will close down soon. Like I said, this is a cafe where people come to have a drink, relax, talk, study, or work on assignments; not a restaurant where customers are expected to order a full meal every time they sit down. We purchased drinks, planned to order more later, and were still repeatedly approached and pressured to order. Please do yourself a favor and stop lying to the public. I did not come here four times and just use the WiFi. I paid for the WiFi with my extremely expensive and disgusting coffee and food, which is shown below in the receipts. I did not buy $2 sodas every time. The receipts I attached are from my card, but on many of the other visits my friend paid with his card and spent just as much. So trying to claim that we were sitting here for free or only ordering a soda is simply not true. Now that I have proved you wrong in front of the public, I hope everyone sees you for who you are. You are a money-hungry liar! Lastly, you are right; you're not Starbucks. Starbucks would not treat customers that way, and I'd much rather spend my money at Starbucks anyway.Glad we're on the same page!

They have fun with their menu here; you can find a seasonal menu every now and then, and have menu items like their Pandan Vietnamese Coffee, which is delicious by the way, to a creamy Dubai chocolate latte, to a sweet citrus peach green tea and smores chai. I told you they are fun, right? They also have the standard fully customizable menu with Americanos, cappuccinos, mochas, cold brews, etc. My fiancé chose Pressed + Flower to be our Sunday morning treat, knowing I am a sucker for anything cold and sweet while the sunshine is out. We got a Cold Brew w/ Cold Foam + Pandan Vietnamese Coffee to sit inside. Originally we were just planning for a quick to-go order but decided to stay to enjoy their ambiance. The interior is decked out to be just like their menu - fun and whimsy. Upon entering, I was immediately distracted by all the shoppable decor items like their huge mugs, candles, glassware, stickers, and crocheted animals. See, aren't they fun? I would've stayed in this shoppable section for longer and bought something if I weren't so coffee-deprived, but didn't end up purchasing a crocheted animal, although I really wanted to. I will save this thought for my next visit to make sure I can take one home. They have a variety of comfy chairs, and tables for guests to chill on and take a relaxing break while enjoying their coffee or tea. There are games in the front of the store if you want to entertain yourself with friends and hang out. The staff we interacted with were both friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of their fun seasonal drinks and next time, I'll stay awhile longer to enjoy more of the ambiance they curated here. :)

They've got delicious drinks and I love that they still give ceramic mugs when you ask for it (a lot of other places have stopped doing this and just always use the plastic lined wasteful to-go cups). I will likely even bring my family or kids here too as it has so many activities like books and games for young and old. Huge variety of drinks, good breakfast foods like even hot oatmeal, and some lunch food items too, although I haven't tried those yet. The staff are always kind and calm adding to cool vibe. Don't miss the items for sale from local vendors. Fun to browse!

They offer free Wi-Fi which is convenient for College students in the area. Their menu has various assortment of drinks and Taiwanese food. I went with a friend to have a quick brunch. We ordered the following; -Strawberry Matcha latte 4/5 Was refreshing. Their matcha wasn't strong. It was mild and less intense matcha complemented with sweet strawberry syrup. - Pork Lumpia 5/5 It was crispy, hot and savory. - Fish Cake 5/5 It was soft, chewy and mild spicy strips. - popcorn chicken We ordered mild spice because my friend cannot tolerate spicy food. It came spicy. For me, I like spicy food but my friend could not eat it. It was not mild at all. - Sesame Balls 5/5 It was hot and fresh, mochi- like in texture and sweet in the center. The cafe was clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was good. I will come back to try more food from the menu.

At the time, my own area had lost electricity too, so their kindness really meant a lot. A year later, in May 2026, I came back because I could not stop thinking about the guava pastry I had tried before -- and somehow it was EVEN better than I remembered. It was so good I completely forgot to take a picture before eating the whole thing I also ordered a ham sandwich on a jalapeño bagel with everything on it, and it was amazing. That one at least survived long enough for a photo! The location is tucked inside a business-looking building, so if you see the UPS sign, you're in the right spot. There's also a fingerprint scanning place in the same area. Inside is super cute and cozy with seating to hang out. It's not the most private if you want a quiet solo space, but it's perfect for meeting up with a friend for coffee or a little friend date. Highly recommend -- not just for the food, but for the kindness and community they showed when people needed it most.
