My go to breakfast plates have been either the Baja Breakfast Tacos or the Classic Eggs Benedicts. The Baja Breakfast tacos are corn tortillas filled with scrambled eggs with chorizo topped with avocado, salsa and cotija cheese and comes with black beans and Mexican rice. These tacos are so stuffed with greatness and becoming a breakfast favorite! The Classic Eggs Benedicts turn out perfectly too! Always worry about if the poached egg will be over cooked or not by the time it's delivered, but nope its perfect each and every time! The Broken Yolk has been one of my favorite breakfast joints for a long time. Their Golden State Benedict is one of the best bennies I've ever had, hands down. Their Border Benedict is a close second. My husband often gets their soup, salad, and sandwich combo which is a TON of food for the price. Their Nutella crepes and the berry salad are some other faves. Okay okay, enough about the food. The service is also pretty dang good. We've been going to BYC for about 2 years now and only 1 time did we have less than stellar service. Every other time we're greeted right away, the food never takes too long, the servers are all attentive and nice. Their staff does a really great job. I have ordered food from this location multiple times and for some reason they enjoy messing up my orders. Today I ordered a Ranchero skillet, which comes with sunny side up eggs per the product description on their paper menu, online, and on uber eats. Somehow I ended up with scrambled eggs, even though I never asked for scrambled eggs because I personally think they're disgusting. They also did not add the avocado that is supposed to be on this dish either. Poached eggs that had undercooked whites but over cooked yoke. How do you do that? Seasoning was everything but the bagel seasoning - maybe salt and pepper your avocado because it was bland. This ain't a nursing home. We like flavor My daughters food was chocolate pancakes, bacon, eggs. Granted this was delivered but in the future, pack your pancakes separate. A non-(big) chain restaurant that delivers on all fronts. Customer service, cleanliness, decor, food quality and quantity are all top notch. Before I review, ignore the 1 and 2 star reviews below. Particularly the ones who give ZERO information and just bitch because they want to bitch with no substance. That being said, I ordered the American Breakfast. It's standard fare. Two eggs, bacon, home fries (O'Brien style), and biscuit. All were hot, perfectly cooked, and tasty. The biscuit is huge. I kid you not on the potato serving. I measured it at 11" x 4 1/2". Way too much but if you're hungry...knock yourself out. Finally, a restaurant with decent coffee. A mild blend but not watered down or weak. Very good. By far the best breaks fast I have had out here so good lots of flavor and I had the three different French toast amazing and the Bloody Mary flight I could without some of them but glad I tried them first before getting a big one. I originally gave this restaurant five stars because the food is excellent and so is the service most of the time, but with the increase in prices, I'm going to have to step back. My biggest peeve is that I don't order toast or potatoes with my breakfast and yet I do not get a credit for it. But they're more than willing to charge me $1.95 for a tiny little dish with little pieces of fruit inside. That doesn't seem fair. If you take a look at the menu at the cost of the toast and the potatoes, technically, I should get credited for that because I'm not eating it. It's kind of like double dipping on their part. Charge me for something they don't serve me. So unfortunately, I will not be returning. read more

Drove quite a ways to get here because we heard it was a good place to eat. There was a short wait, but it was busy. Then the issues started. We were seated and no one helped us. Two groups that were seated after us, were helped before us. They got drinks and their food ordered before we were even helped. We asked several people for assistance and they all said our waitress was coming. Finally, one of the Mangers? (she never identified herself as the manager) came to take our drink orders. Then another waitress came shortly after. We thought she was our waitress, and asked to order. But, she wasn't our waitress. She declined taking our order and went to talk to another person, I assume a different manager. I'm guessing she was told to take our order, because she came back. My favorite breakfast place. I made the mistake this morning of trying a new place and I instantly regretted my decision. I'm a mimosa girl and this place has every kind of mimosa you can ask for including flights. Decently priced too! The wait during The Weeknd is just like everywhere else BUT the awesome thing about them is you can join the wait list via Yelp to get yourself in line and seated. Not many places have this option. They play cartoons and movies on the tvs for the kiddos which is cool and their own cartoons sometimes too so there's some nostalgia there. The pancakes are HUGE but so moist even WITHOUT the syrup! Papa Ninja and I always battle here together. Coffee flows smooth, there always is service with a smile and food is always quicker than my last assassination. Stopped in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. The place was moderately busy. We were greeted and shown to our seats right away. Our server was by a short time later. She was friendly and engaging. I started off with a orange juice. The OJ is served in a tall, skinny glass. Upon reviewing the egg shaped menu, I decided on the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich included bacon, cheese and a fried egg on white toast, it was served with a side of your choice of home fries, hashbrowns or fresh fruit. I chose the home fries. The sandwich was delicious, and the home fries were cooked perfectly. The portions are large. The place is clean and the service is quick and friendly. Let me just say I have come here many times, but after this time, I won't be coming back any time soon. I gave this place leeway with the sometimes mediocre cuts of carne asada. I had some shredded beef and carne asada. The carne asada wasn't that bad this time. This time my shredded beef tasted like someone had sprayed perfume in it making it completely inedible. There went half my breakfast. At this point I wasn't going to call AGAIN. I had already called complaining that I was charged 10.97 for ONE pumpkin pancake (THE SAME PRICE AS TWO) and it even said one pancake. I was floored, so I called to see if they would offer me my second pancake. I called, the girl didn't care and it showed. I said "if I would've known that I would be charged the same price for one as it would be for two I would've preferred to have my second pancake.I thought she would at least say something like come back and we'll give you your second pancake or refund my card for half the price but nothing I must've waited at least 10 seconds before I responded saying "wow okay thanks for nothing bye" which she immediately then says "let me see if I can find someone to talk to" and I then turns around and says "oh okay bye" and then hangs up. They overcharge for food that tastes like perfume with chewy carne asada, over cooked eggs and will charge you $11 for one pumpkin pancake that they will charge the same price for two and then do nothing about it. With those margins I'm tempted to start selling some. I could charge people half and still make money with regular grocery store prices. I don't mind paying more for food but the food should be worth the price and it just isn't here. There are too many other breakfast places that would be willing to make things right and their food even seems like better quality. Sucks because this place has a lot of potential.
