    Burger for my pup!!
    Candii B.

I'm always looking for dog friendly places to take my pup and Broken Yolk came up during my search and wasn't too far from home. My pup and I were promptly greeted and told to choose a table in the outdoor seating area. I ordered the Chicken & Waffle Benedict with home fries. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. My favorite aspect was the doggie menu!!! I didn't even know they had this before deciding to go here so I was thrilled. For the lovely pup I ordered 2 burger patties which he didn't hesitate to devour. The outdoor area was clean and shaded as well. We will definitely be visiting again!

Brunch with mom. 20% off on Tuesdays for seniors

20% off Tuesdays for seniors! I recently went with my mom for our weekly brunch, and Broken Yolk delivered on every level. Not only did we enjoy a generous 20% Tuesday senior discount, but the service was warm and attentive. As someone who's been skipping carbs and leaning into healthier choices, I was thrilled to find cottage cheese on the menu--something most breakfast spots overlook. It's the little things that make a big difference, and Broken Yolk gets it right. From the cozy vibe to the thoughtful menu options, this place has officially earned a spot in our weekly rotation. Highly recommend for anyone seeking delicious food, great service, and a wellness-friendly brunch experience.

Placed an order for pickup. Spoke with Julie, very friendly. Ordered wild West Burger and fries. Burger was like home cooked, delicious. Also ordered a BLT and onion rings. BLT on sourdough was very good, the onion rings tasted like oil was not fresh and slightly mushy. Julie was taking phone orders and waiting tables, pleasant to everyone. Another worker delivered my order to me, very nice. Indoor and outdoor seating. Thank you Broken Yolk

So don't get me wrong. I love this place. The food is amazing. The pricing is got out of control. It's now $17 for an omelette after taxes. It's almost a 20 spot. Is there anybody doing anything to control food costs? This is unreal.

We decided to try a new place and drove a little farther than we normally might. Unfortunately, our food was under seasoned and the avocado on the Wife's toast was really oxidized and just not looking that appealing. I went completely different and tried the chicken and waffle Benedict which was wasn't bad and would have been better with proper seasoning. The coffee is solid. The real standout is the staff. Super friendly, lots of hustle, and proactive problem solvers. Our server, took the Wife's toast off the bill, which we appreciated, as she agreed that it didn't look that great. The staff saved it, we will come back another morning and we hope that our under seasoned experience is a one off.

Grubbin acai bowl. Hit the spot after a morning at the hospital. Their iced chai latte is one of my favorite drinks to get anywhere! I order it almost every time I visit.

Great food and presentation, great service and good for people watching. Just have a look at the pictures and you will be tempted to try it yourself. Portions are large enough to share.

Hi Kimberlee. Gosh, that is a tough question! I'm sure you know that everybody's taste's vary, and then to factor in morning sickness takes it off the charts hard to answer. We have a very large menu, and the whole menu is available all day. We…

I want to start by saying our server was great, the atmosphere was nice, and our food came out quickly, which we appreciated. We had only taken a couple bites of our meals when my boys needed to use the bathroom. I took them, and intentionally left my purse at the table so it was clear we hadn't left. When we came back, our entire meal had been cleared from the table. It was incredibly frustrating, especially with hungry little kids. The manager came over and apologized and offered to remake the food, but at that point my kids were hungry, upset, and honestly I was too. I just wanted to leave. I asked if they could comp the meal because this was entirely due to their mistake. The manager then said we should still pay 50% of the bill, which was honestly shocking. Paying half for food we barely ate because it was taken by mistake felt completely unreasonable. After I pushed back, they did end up comping the meal. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What made this experience especially disappointing was the manager's lack of empathy and apology--especially as a mom trying to manage dinner with little kids. It turned what started as a pleasant dinner into a very stressful and upsetting experience.

But I can judge simply food or filet a trout or chicken and add a homemade beurre blanc sauce. I like simple red wine but relish a Camus anniversary bottle. We eat at hole in the walls and expensive places. But often we look at each other and choose between Dennys or VI, and are happy! Today, May 16th at VI on Signal Butte - rough start by a waitress who told both of us "I need to know your pie order. NOW." Resturant was not busy. Not at all. It was 4:15 maybe. Slow on a SUNDAY post-winter visitor rush on a late Spring day. Rushed. I pointed to my 3-6pm dinner choice of TURKEY. I showed her. "Just as it comes. She repeated it back to me as she typed in into her handheld computer. Chicken fried steak arrived. And a sausage looking oval patty shape of stuffing. Two long finger prints in it. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? I told her I'd eat it. Truly don't like complaining let alone confrontation with a Russian native with a sharp attitude because of a rough life. My nephew is from there so I GET the trauma. and I though I know I can usually switch my palate. But not for this plate of food. I felt sick looking at it. "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Thanked me for being agreeable or something. I nodded. I remember this saying if you l oh someone's attention the first three seconds and first three steps you'll spend the next 30 min trying to make them believe you're hiring. It's true. I was too tired this week to be extremely understanding but I'm never rude. I told my hubby let's both let this one go. And I said "But we won't return here." He nodded in agreement. Because I see people come in and sit down I see how tired they are and make quick calls to be able to turn their day around if only for a short time before they return home....to being a caregiver or to grieve a loss. Just 2 minutes from the ALB airport, this spot hits exactly how you need it to hit when you're either coming off a flight or heading into one: easy, classic, no-frills comfort. I went with the corned beef hash + pancakes breakfast, and it delivered that old-school diner energy. The hash was hearty and filling, eggs cooked just right, and the pancakes? Soft, golden, and exactly what you expect--nothing fancy, just solid. But let's be clear... the real reason you come here is the pie. Village Inn doesn't play about their pies, and the banana cream pie is the headline act. Light, creamy, not overly sweet, topped with whipped cream and just enough texture to make every bite feel intentional. For under $20 a pie, it feels like one of those rare "still worth it" moments in today's food scene. Yes--it's a chain. But this location in Albuquerque shows up like it understands the assignment: quick service, consistent quality, and that nostalgic diner comfort that doesn't try too hard.
