    Chicken Satays w/ Peanut Sauce

Was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by Brooklyn Chop House for dinner. The lamb chops were nice, thick, and cooked perfectly. The chicken satay was a hit my daughter absolutely loved it. The pork fried rice was fairly standard, but still tasty. The drinks were excellent, and the staff even surprised us with a complimentary red velvet cake for dessert. The décor was beautiful, especially all of the Brooklyn-themed signs throughout the restaurant. They also had decorations celebrating the Knicks' Finals win, which added to the atmosphere. I would definitely come back, especially to try one of their steaks.

The food at was excellent and definitely lived up to the hype. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. My only issue was with the automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill for a party of two. After spending over $400 on dinner, it felt unnecessary to have a mandatory gratuity included for such a small table. While I understand this policy may be intended for larger groups, applying it to a party of two left a less-than-ideal impression. That said, the quality of the food and atmosphere were outstanding, and I would still recommend the restaurant. I just think the gratuity policy could be reconsidered for smaller parties.

Brooklyn Chop House was a very pleasant surprise!! The dumplings were delicious, especially the Rueben ones which I did not expect to like but really enjoyed! The steak had great flavor and was super tender! My husband LOVED the red velvet cake dessert. Our waiter, Alex, was awesome!!! He really made the meal and experience more fun! Thanks, Alex!

I was visiting NYC for my friend's birthday, and we chose Brooklyn Chop House for the celebration dinner and it was absolutely the right choice! From the moment we walked in, the vibes were immaculate. The music had us dancing in our seats while eating, and the entire restaurant had a beautiful, upscale feel with great energy all around. We started with the lamb gyro dumplings , so tender and flavorful. The dumpling dough was unlike anything I've ever had before, soft, fresh, and clearly made in-house. Paired with the tangy tzatziki sauce, it was a 10/10 appetizer. For our main courses, we shared the ginger beef scallion noodles, lamb chops, and shrimp fried rice. The noodles were saucy, rich, and packed with flavor and the beef was incredibly tender. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection juicy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. And the shrimp fried rice? Light, fresh, and a perfect complement to the bold flavors of the other dishes. Our server was kind, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. From start to finish, it felt like a special experience great food, great atmosphere, and great service. I would absolutely return the next time I'm in New York. Highly recommend for a celebration or just a fun night out!

05.11.2025 I've been coming to this location since 2022. I don't live in NY so I come back specifically for this restaurant and their food. The atmosphere is calm and lively at the same time with music playing at just the right volume; you can hear what is playing and know what is playing and still hear the conversation. The food and service is amazing!!!! You have to try the chicken fried rice, the lamb chops, and if you love duck like I do, try the duck!!!! . I always get the duck and usually a Lychee martini The quality of their food, atmosphere, and service has been consistent every time I come. Give this place a try! I enthusiastically recommend them!

The food was HORRIBLE! I was on my way to work and something smelled like the New York summer bbq nights out in Washington heights, but the food did disappoint and it was not good at all.

Went here on a Thursday night with family and it was a lovely experience. Lighting was dim, music wasn't too loud, staff was friendly, and overall great vibe. We shared the crab soup dumplings (10/10), Philly cheesesteak dumplings (8/10), and crispy chicken wontons (9/10). The soup dumplings were the standout and must try- they were creamy with some light spicy. For my main, I had vegetable flat noodles (10/10) and rock shrimp tempura (10/10). The rock shrimp portion was super flavorful, perfectly cooked, and large enough to share between two people. We ended the meal by sharing several desserts with the standout being the pistachio cheesecake- it was creamy with some nice texture from the pistachios. Highly recommend!

Been wanting to try Brooklyn Chop house for quiet a while, we decide to have one of our close friends birthday dinner. Chose the financial district location since it's the original and we wanted the full experience. The place is nice and cozy, with alot of space. I've been to a few restaurants and this one had the best crab cakes! The experience was one of a kind thanks to Alex M, his service was exceptional. We pretty much had everything he recommended including drinks and there was no disappointment at all. We appreciate the hospitality, the good food and the service. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely love this place. The vibes were spot on. Our waitress was super nice and she gave us some good suggestions. The cocktails were tasty and our food came out rather quickly. We had the Pac-Man dumplings and we also had the Gyro dumplings, but my favorite were the side of mashed potatoes, they were so creamy and the herbs that they use Complemented them well most importantly, the playlist of R&B that was heard in the dining room was a great touch.

So this was my third time here and it will probably be my last unless someone is treating me. I was having a "bad" day and decided to treat myself to lunch. Quite frankly, it is overly expensive for Chinese food and rice served in a metal canteen. The lunch menu is limited. I paid $17 for CHICKEN wontons. I really didn't expect my bill to be as high as it was for lunch. Kudos to this business for finding a way to create an experience and bring Black owned. However, third time is the charm. I'm good. Y'all enjoy. The red velvet cake was delish tho

Will come again. We went to Brooklyn Chophouse last night because my partner wanted steak and it was a recommendation by the front desk of our hotel. I'm gluten free so I called ahead to make a reservation and ask about my options. I was ensured that most of the menu could be gluten free. The ambience would be great for date night or a relaxing nicer meal with friends and family. The host Tamera was great and continued to be pleasant throughout the night. Our server was also very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. As the universe would have it everything I wanted could not be made gluten free which of course was a little disappointing after my call earlier that afternoon. However, what we ordered was good. Pac-Man dumplings were amazing -10/10 Lamb -9/10 Filet mignon 7/10 Soup dumpling 7/10 Fried Rice 7/10 Virgin Mojitos 9/10 There were many other things we would love to try next time to update this review that we will do our next time in New York.

When we…read morediscovered the Koreatown Nan Xiang was right around the corner from our hotel this visit, we made it a priority to visit, and we brought friends who were new to soup dumplings (XLB). There was a wait list to get seated when we arrived but the process was simple and moved quickly, and service was prompt and food came out quickly. We ordered both the standard pork XLB and my faves, the pork and crab ones, as well as pan fried pork dumplings which I was surprised to discover were also full of soup, chicken corn dumplings, and two noodle dishes: rice cake with pork & mustard greens, and pan fried noodles with beef. Servers were conscientious about allergies and very specific about letting us know which items were which, but other than that were largely appropriately hands off. They did ask us, mid-meal, if it would be ok if a service dog were at the next table to ours, which I thought was courteous. (The service dog was adorable and well behaved.) All the food was fab, which we expected. It's nice to come in a group and be able to order more items for a greater variety. The rookies executed well (and thanked us for the instructions on how to eat XLB to avoid getting soup everywhere) and were pleasantly surprised by my longtime favorite, the rice cake and mustard greens. I'll need to remember that the pan fried pork dumplings also have soup, because I really liked the texture of them. Such good food, and as always, better shared with friends.

I really liked the scallion pancake and eggplant. The pancake wasn't crispy/dry, but rather the exterior was crisp and the inside was still a little soft/fluffy. It's the first time I had a scallion pancake that wasn't just straight dough inside/outside, or so thin that it got crisped out. I really liked this texture profile though. The eggplant was 10/10; the eggplant was cooked well, so tender but not soggy. The sauce was really good too such that it was sufficient spice but not flaming. Would recommended. I enjoyed the cucumber salad and tofu as well, but have had better. Seasoning and prep were good though -- although the tofu was cooked so tender (or maybe was silken tofu to begin with) that the whole table was struggling with carrying it from plate to mouth -- heh. Food came out very quickly; staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Decent amount of seating with a cozy vibe. It was a good meal, not my favorite Szechuan spot, but definitely hit the spot.
