Terrible this brothers. Never been to this location. I ordered a $16.00 pork ribs , chicken with 2 sides. The side of beans are fit into a thimble, the chicken and ribs were so dried out , I almost choked , and it's intended for 2... Yet there was not enough for a child, one child. And the chicken was shredded (wasn't expecting that,)enough , and had to have been in storage for a week to be so dry. I'll be going back for a refund. It was to go , so who knows when. After a 30 minute round trip drive to pick up beef ribs, burnt ends and a basket of fries. I have to say, the ribs were like pulling JERKY off of bone. I've been off and on for 10 years with local Denver BBQ after living in Kansas City for 10 years and have to say, you brothers are missing the mark. Come on ppl., I thought we are suppose to be honest here. Brothers is a chain that can be passed up. Someone compared brothers to mcd's bbq. and thats funny, but a pretty good comparison! Brothers is ok, but not good and definitely not great. If you are a certified bbq judge giving brothers 2 thumbs up, you should either quit or go to Kansas and see what real bbq flavor is. If you want to try an above average bbq, try moes bbq, I go here once a month. In fact they took over the space brothers use to be in, here in lakewood! P.S. I have lived across the street from Brothers BBQ on 6th and washington for over two years now. The food is great, the service is great and I feel sad for people that gave bad reviews. I like going to Brothers when I have a hankering for some Brisket. I'm no BBQ aficionado, but I like their brisket. I usually get it to go with mashed potatoes and beans for my sides. It's nothing amazing, but it's tasty and A-OK when I need to have a brisket fix. read more

Pretty good stuff although I was a little dissapointed that I didn't see a "brother" cooking. Unfortunately, this place didn't have air conditioning (turned on) and the beers were warm. Would definitely go back for some more ribs and pulled pork. read more

I love this Brothers BBQ, out of the other ones ive been to this is the best. The BBQ and the Sauce delicious. The Sweet Tea isnt to sweet its just right. The Side Dishes are plentiful. When they have the Peach Cobbler it to is a nice size portion and delicious and doesnt taste store bought. read more

I'm not a huge bbq fanatic but the food seemed pretty good except kinda dry like previously mentioned. The service was good but my biggest complaint was the TV seems to be on way too loud like its cool or something to just blow my ear drums out. I had to shout to have conversation at dinner which is a real turn off. Like previously mentioned, it does seem like its in an old gas station or oil change place. Brothers is pretty damn good BBQ for what you're gonna get in Colorado. I've eaten everywhere from the Salt Lick in TX to Corky's in TN and although this place might not be "authentic", it does a pretty good job. I'd imagine it's fairly hard to commit to a regional style when you're in Denver so they have a pretty good variety of sauce types. Oh yeah, sweet tea! read more

Was excited when we moved here that there was a barbecue place two blocks down. After going several times though, we go the short extra distance to Moe's on Broadway now. Ordered the two beef ribs plus one other meat and two sides. OMG...it was really bad! The ribs were overcooked and my side of beef brisket was only about a tblspoon...try that on a bun. The sides (mac & cheese with cole slaw....ugh! I swear it was all from two days ago. I think because I got it to go they can pull that on customers. Sooooo disappointed! Won't go back. read more

If half stars were an option, I'd give it a 3.5. Solid. Filling. Not going to rock your socks off, but shouldn't make you mad that you paid for it either. High point for me is their sauces - they actually do a pretty decent version of everything from Coastal Carolina vinegar, to South Carolina mustard, to a few solid tomato-based sauces. The meat isn't the most tender amazing stuff I've ever had, but I also don't think I've ever been disappointed. Sides are pretty standard fare, and I'd give them a similar review as the meat - nothing that will win a contest, but good none the less. read more

Good food but horrible delivery times. This is the third and last time I will be ordering from brothers bbq. Its an additional 9 dollars for delivery and I have had to wait up to an hour and half extra to get my food. Right now it has been an hour and im starting to wonder if they will ever get here. read more

Came here for rib night last Thursday while in town on vacation. Ribs were amazing. Perfectly done. Great sauce options too - no one size fits all. Tried them all but I like the hot bbq sauce and loved the vinegar based sauce. I always order coleslaw when it's on the menu and Brothers' was excellent. I think it might have a mustard base. The assis. Manager Robert was extremely helpful and kind. Our impossible burgers didn't have the cheese we ordered and we realized after we had already gone home. He was so kind he had them fire up 3 new burgers with cheese and brought them over himself with a banana pudding! Talk about great customer service. So I have been to this location often. Great service and great ribs. Normally I would give it a 4 star. When I am in Chicago or KC, then I am able to reach 5 stars. Reasons for the 2 star rating: First. They raised the prices. I am not really upset over it, but paying more for burnt ribs...well not cool. Secondly. Have the people that dish out the ribs not serve tiny and inedible ones. I mean you should not be counting burnt skin on a bone as a rib. That should just be known at any restaurant no matter it be a five start one or a place like Brothers. Don't serve crap food. Just pitch it or save it for scraps or something, but do not serve it to the customers because it is annoying to pay for something and get absolutely no pleasure from it. So that is why I gave 2 stars. Pitch the inedible ribs and serve your customers consistent full ribs...always. read more

Do you like BBQ served with a side of mediocre taste ? If so this is the place for you. Being a Denver native I have know about Brothers BBQ for a long time. I can recall going into this place around 2003 when the place was jam packed and the BBQ was amazing. Now this is considered a picture out of the Glory Days of good BBQ. To start: I ordered the Beef BBQ ribs and brisket. What a mistake that was: The beef ribs should have belonged in the scrap pile anyways as they were so fatty and tough like leather. The Brisket looked like the chef was lazy as I though he gave me pulled pork. When in fact they chopped the brisket up. What kind of authentic BBQ place does this to a good cut of brisket. Almost all of their BBQ was just bad cuts of meats cooked poorly drenched in sauces that are poorly executed and taste the same sweet or heat wise. At all costs avoid wasting your money at this place as you will regret it!!!! Go get some real BBQ at a place that gives you quality cuts of meat with sauces that have definition and taste. I hope you can understand my experience and know I have a very good taste for, BBQ that gives you the feeling that I need to: A: Ship a couple racks to someone I know. or B:Order some more BBQ to take home with me. Good bbq. Had brisket and pulled port and mac and cheese and something else and it was good stuff. While they are a bit out of the way from the city centre there is stuff around them like bars etc. Had a bottle of some kind of IPL and it was good too. If I was in the area again and looking for somewhere to eat then this would do fine. I wouldn't schlep out there again just for this though. read more

I had the brisket sandwich and potato salad. The brisket was very bad. It was extremely dry and tough. The sauces, I think there was 5 or 6 of them, were very good, but the sandwich was nearly inedible. I definitely won't be back. read more
