First tried Brusters in the West Coast and even though they're a chain, I have to say that I actually enjoyed this location more. What screams Summer more than ice cream outdoors on a hot day? There are a ton of flavor options, menu item choices, and even whole ice cream cake/pies. Plus they offer free ice cream cones to kids under 40 inches. Definitely a family friendly place. The ice cream texture is thick and creamy, plus portion sizes are decent. The only confusing part was that there were three windows but only one card payment machine (that was passed between the windows), so it was hard to know where to order and where to pick up. But since it's a relatively new business, I'm sure they're working out the kinks. Excited to come back and try more flavors. read more

The ice cream is usually very good - I've been coming here since it opened in Fairfax. I also used to go to the shop in Gaithersburg. MD. I wish there was a drive up - and indoor seating. The service is always good - but I don't like this tipping request that is thrown in your face. After all, why are customers expected to pay the hourly wages for these people that you employ? The people at the cash register are expected to take your order and fill it. This is what a cashier does. Making desserts and scooping ice cream is their job. I find it very rude. read more

5/5 stars! We got the Graham Central Station and Key Lime Pie....both were phenomenal. Real pieces of pie and great flavor. You could smell the fresh waffle cones being made too. This place is awesome. Their owner and general manager were so hospitable. My daughter and her friend were working on their 4th grade project for school. We stopped by and asked if they could answer some questions for their project and their general manager was so kind and took the time to answer all of their questions. I ordered a drink for the girls and the general manager said it was complimentary. He even offered to give the girls a tour of their operations. The owner came out and greeted us and showed the girls the ice cream machines and talked about their production process from making the products to the cleaning and sanitation process. They got a tour of their cooler. Everything was so clean and neat inside. I am bit of a neat/clean freak and I approve. What a gem! They have great ice cream and I like the people there. The problem is, they often have a long line, so I try to call when I am in the area. Four times they told me, "Can you please go on line?" I explain to them that I am driving and I want to pick up ice cream. They continue to imply that this is abnormal and an inconvenience. This is odd. Many people pick up fast food via a phone call so how can this possibly be an inconvenience? Then I go on line to placate them and they don't have what I want - a banana split. I go there and tell them this. They act surprised. I tell them they need to update their page. I go on line two weeks later. No banana splits. It is 99 degrees and I want to avoid a line. I call them again and ask for two banana splits. Again, they say, "Please go on line sir". Again, I told them, "Your website does not have banana splits - I told this to you guys before. Can you please take my order?" The guy tells me "sorry sir, we cannot help you" I said, "So, I have to stand in line because your website has not been updated?" He says, "Yes, sorry sir". So, they actually refused my call in order. Then I get there and they are not that busy. They have five staff members there with no line. This is poor customer service and if I was the manager I would straighten this out immediately. read more

I got a medium vanilla with sprinkles. Ice cream was good but for almost $6, they were small scoops. Also, staff were all inexperienced and a lot of asking each other how to do things... like how to scoop ice cream into a cup vs. a cone. I went here this afternoon to pick up ice cream for my family (01/26/2023 @ 3pm). When I got there, the worker was sitting on the counter with her feet also on the counter, on her phone, with air pods in. I stood in the cold for 3 minutes before she even noticed I was there. She finally came to the window and was very rude and short. I asked for 4 smalls and when she gave them to me, I asked if there was something like a box I could carry them because I couldn't hold 4 cups while driving home. She replied "what do you mean a box?" Then shut the window. I went to my car, drove home and ice cream melted all over me and my car. I will not be returning due to how she acted. NOT cloyingly sweet...just the right amount, and just the PERFECT amount of vanilla! One thing I HATE is when they over-do the vanilla!! Mmmm, ya just need a weee bit folks!!! But the REAL high point in the scoop is that it was one ball of CREAM!!!! Yummy, buttery, lip-moisturizing--CREAM!!!! The Heath Bar scoop could've used more than one wee bit of heath bar in it, but I'm willing to forgive since the ice cream, like the vanilla, was perfectly delicious!! These folks don't add the yucky (mostly ersatz) vanilla flavoring. Just a subtle vanilla taste with delicious frozen cream!!! My husband wanted coffee ice cream, but they only had a coffee and Oreo combo. "Oh what the heck, I'll try it!", he said. Not heavy on the Oreos...just a few crumbles. If I could give negative stars, I would. I hate leaving bad reviews because I know that everyone is doing their best but I went here for the first time. I don't consume dairy because it gives me major stomach issues so I ordered the non-dairy Graham Central Station (made with coconut milk). When they gave it to me, only a couple minutes after ordering, it was half melted. I ate half of it and threw the rest away. About 30 minutes later, I got extremely bad stomach issues as I do with dairy and realized that they gave me the dairy version instead of non-dairy. Additionally, dairy and non-dairy ice cream don't have a huge difference in taste for someone who hasn't consumed dairy in many years so I ate it thinking it was non-dairy but my stomach issues tell me otherwise. read more
