Busy Saturday night, so service was slow. We were there to watch the band though, so we didn't mind. The waiter told us the kitchen was backed up. The food is worth the wait! What a disappointment. I've always loved the food here. This time, I sit at the bar and get passed over for 2 couples that came in after me. Ok whatever. I order clams from the raw bar and one of them has a hair in it. When I tell the waitress she asks if it's mine? What a s****hole. I just moved to the Black Rock area and was excited to try it. Terrible happy hour - what a joke. Service was horrible and food even worse. Was told I I could sit anywhere then suddenly told the table was 'reserved'. I literally spent the day moving so I guess I wasn't looking good enough? That's the only reason I can think of for the horrible treatment. It took forever to make my basic marg and we were never checked on to on see if food was ok. Great Yelp stop! Passing through on the highway and it did not disappoint! They have live music on Fridays and even though it was packed, there was ample street parking. Great atmosphere. Really great raw bar, lobster roll, steamed clams (better than their mussels, I think- not my usual preference!)- with daily specials. It is almost shockingly well priced, given the increase in seafood prices everywhere else). And although the staff seems small, they are dedicated and HUSTLE! Way over due on this review. I dare to share it for a few reasons. With some reservations I proceed: It's the strong cocktails. It's especially the cucumbery bloody Mary's. It's defiantly the uber fresh seafood. I love the presentation and you never have to ask for obvious accoutrements like mignonette sauce for the succulent oysters. It's totally the food. Oh! The tasty delicious unexpected amazing dishes from the talented conscientious chef in that hot busy kitchen. It's sometimes the great live music blaring from the speakers. It's defiantly the staff. This place is kind of a hole in the wall.. think dive bar vibe... but the food is off the charts excellent. Really fresh oysters... and the Lobsterdilla is mouth watering delicious goodness.... Love this place. Great happy hour spot with $1 oysters and $.50 clams. They have different deals through the week. On Tuesday's the appetizers are half price and on Wednesday's the lobster rolls are $12. The drinks are strong and so is the dive bar atmosphere. Came here for the first time for oysters on a Monday. It was a beautiful day. I came exactly at 3:00pm and sat at the bar where about four other people sat and two tables outside. The bartender was extremely overwhelmed. Flustered, scattered and I could tell she was getting frustrated with herself for messing up orders. I don't know if she was new but I told her to take her time and I wasn't going anywhere. The place filled up QUICKLY so I put in an order or 12 oysters and ordered a drink. She said it would be a while for them to come out because there was only one shucker in the back. No worries. It took about 15 min. The oysters were crisp yet melted in my mouth, ice cold and salty. Just the way I like them. Served with horseradish, mignonette, and cocktail sauce and lemon. I slurped those down quickly and easily could've ordered more if the service went a bit smoother. I watched about five people walk out because they weren't tended two even when the second bartender showed up. I've been a server, I get it, she was weeded big time and I felt bad but we didn't want to sit so we grabbed our check and left. I will DEFINITELY check this place out again as the oysters were top notch and I hope the bartender found her groove. It's not easy. read more

On the specials was a Thai style and on the menu we got the white wine garlic and then we had a spicy style that was not on the menu. These suckers were all gigantic! I go there often just for that easy casual atmosphere with always decent service. It's a really, really good place and the chef has always accommodated my wishes. Stopped in for dinner on our way to a concert at Amphitheater. Cool vibe. Busy waitress kept telling us she was too busy. Ordered clams casino and they were inedible. They were swimming in butter. Only thing we tasted was a mouthful of butter. I had the lobster roll which was tasty but veryyy skimpy and a tiny amount of fries. Very small portions. My husband had the fish n chips and same thing with his. 2 tiny pieces of fish- small and almost round which is an odd shape. Extremely salty- inedible. We shared clam chowder and it was delicious! Wish we just had that! Soda was flat, even on refill. Prices were reasonable- shame the food wasn't better or waitress wasn't telling us she was too busy. Our table was very wobbly and we tried to ask if we could move tables. We just moved to the next table ourselves. She came by and questioned why we moved. So we explained about the table and she said she was too busy to fix the table -it's ok we fixed the situation ourselves! read more

First time visiting this restaurant. Walked in to a very friendly greeting. Seated immediately because we went for lunch and it was in between brunch and lunch. Our waiter Austin was right there to ask us if we wanted water or anything else to drink. He came right back and asked if we had any questions. Asked if we were ready to order. We weren't so he came back in a reasonable amount of time. The clam chowder was really good. Plus we split the artichoke dip. It was amazing.
