I had the shrimp pasta and it was watery consistency some love it but I prefer thicker pasta. It was well seasoned, but I did have a great manager who went to the kitchen and actually made a thicker more favorable sauce. My friend had the shrimp meal and she loved it. It was well seasoned to her taste and she really enjoyed it. Kids would love the seafood characters that paraded around the restaurant to greet the customers. Went today food was delicious it was pretty quiet service very friendly, service maybe too good we were only steps away from the restroom, we went to the restroom only long enough to wash my hands came back to the table the payment book was still there but packed leftovers ( multiple bags and boxes gone , we left together because we were on one of those pesky tour buses so we're trying to save time and didn't take turns , good have been spared the info on we could handle it better next time and were surprised at the speed as anise all booths were empty near us , but there was no mal intent , and I didn't really know the person I was dining with , but every employee had been friendly and accommodating, manager came and replaced 1 of the 4 orders, the largest entree , if it it had been n only leftovers I would just have said never mind but I had only tasted it as I'd ordered other food as well and was saving for later , that being said I so appreciated him replacing it, and he did it on time for me to still catch my bus. I did get a few moans and groans from some of the other tourists at the aquarium of the Pacific, but it ended well, so I really do appreciate that. Now, I'm not completely sure what exactly is in the sauce, but, it tasted amazing - kind of like a spicy roux. The garlic bread it came with was tasty and the rice was a nice touch (we sopped up all the sauce)! Others in my group got the shrimp and crab seafood boil. They didn't like it very much as there wasn't a lot of seasoning (one got garlic and one got Cajun spiced). We were able to get some more oil and spices for the boils, but we were a little disappointed. The potatoes were a bit undercooked as well. The service was great! We were greeted immediately when we walked up and brought inside to get a table. We only got one menu for two adults, but whatever, we shared. After we were seated our waitress came over for our drink orders and those were brought out a few minutes later. We ordered and enjoyed looking at all the fun things on the walls. It wasn't very crowded (we went on the 4th of July around lunch time) so it was pretty quiet. Some of the staff wore masks while others didn't so I'm guessing that was based on their comfort level or if they were vaccinated. The food came out and was super hot and fresh. We had to wait a while for our daughters chicken to cool down, but rather it was fresh than old! I had a po boy and the shrimp kept popping out of the sandwich. I'm all for more meat than bread but it was pretty frustrating that the hoagie was to short to hold in the shrimp making it difficult to keep them in and there was so much mayo that it overpowered the flavor of the shrimp. My husband had a bucket of shrimp (not sure the actual name) and said the flavor was delicious but would have liked a place to put the shrimp shells. The food was average, but Bubba Gump in my opinion is more of a tourist attraction than a gourmet one. read more

I came here with my family after a morning at the Aquarium. The wait was much longer than they originally stated but that seems to be the case everywhere nowadays. I know that restaurants are really struggling with lack of staff and kitchen help. When we did get seated, our waitress was with us right away. We knew what we wanted to order right away so we could get our order in before everyone else and we did get our food in a short amount of time. We started with the sampler. The shrimp in it was very good. Everything else was just OK. I got the clam chowder and shrimp mac and cheese. We also got the shrimp three ways and the salmon. The salmon was overcooked but still workable. The shrimp dish was really good. And honestly, they have great french fries. The chowder was flavorful but needed to be warmer. The mac and cheese would have been good too but the breadcrumbs that they put on it was just sprinkled on top and not baked in. I tried to brush them off the top but unfortunately, there was too many to get it all off. The service was great. It's a cute place and a typical tourist trap. If you're looking for good seafood, head on down the way to Gladstones. This place fits the bill for a place to entertain the kids and enjoy some memorabilia from the movie. read more
