Buddha Burger on Metric in North Austin
    John L.

This is the location at Metric and Cedar Bend Dr, very convenient if you work or commute or live in that area. The service is great. Very inviting and helpful at the checkout window and even after the food came out. The meat is perfectly cooked and salted. The bun buttered nicely for that extra taste. I got the California burger so the buttered bun might only be that one but you can check. I debated on the regular or cajun fries but glad I got the cajun, the seasoning is way better than plain salted. Iced peach tea topped off a great experience. I think they rotate tea flavors and peach was the flavor of the day so I got lucky because peach tea is one of my favorites. Plenty of outside seating or grab it to go. There was a nice breeze and a small tree blocking the sun's direction so I enjoyed the outdoor meal on this day.

I've driven by this trailer so many times!!!!! I finally decided to stop and give it a try! The weather was nice and cool and perfect for their outdoor seating area. I ordered off their hidden menu which you can find online. You will be amazed at the food here! The quality, the taste!! Ahmaziiiingg!! Their nirvana sauce is tangy. Think level up thousand island only not pink. Also their amazing sauce goes great on burgers. We had the Amazing burger single (although I could of eaten a whole double by myself) and the Crispy Chicken with nirvana sauce was the best sandwich I've ever had! The chicken was so tender and juicy for being fried. The onion rings had a nice kick to them too. Not super spicy just mild. You just also try their chocolate chip toffee cookie!! It's super yummy!!!!!! I'll def go back!!! The staff/ owners were so friendly. They came out and asked about the food and we learned a bit about them. Very friendly and personable. They have several locations. Check 'em out!!

Service was very nice and came to check up us while dining and was happy to get additional stuff like napkins. The food was so good, some of the best burger and chicken sandwich I have ever had. The chicken bacon ranch was so good, the chicken was so moist and juicy and the breading on the chicken was so flavorful. Some of the best ranch with lots of flavor and paired well with the sandwich. The California classic burger was one of the best burgers I've had. The patties had a really nice crust that added a lot of flavor but was still thick with a really nice angus beef flavor. The buns had a toasted bun on the exterior which was incredible, shattered when biting into it with a really nice buttery taste. The nirvana sauce balanced the richness of the burger so well. Amazing burger. Some shaded eating area would have been nice. Overall, an incredible experience and would definitely return. Can't give this place enough praise.

Best smash burgers in Austin! I usually don't like saying something is the "best". But this is the best smash burger I've had in Austin. It is everything I want in a smashed huger. The cheese is melted, it looks simple, the meat is seasoned and smashed properly, and the buns are soft!!! It didn't take long to get my food. The truck is clean and ordering was smooth! I have officially found my "burger spot". !

Came today after a scooter ride down by the creek. Is super easy to get to from the trails. Food came out fast and fresh. I got the chicken strips onion rings and the mango tea of the day. Omg so good. The staff were super friendly and gave great rec's for the sauce. The space is in the parking lot of a gas station so it's kind of busy but it's super local and very friendly. All in all I'll be back for sure to try the burger next time.

We got the basic double cheeseburger with Cajun fries. It was very very fresh and very very good. While we were waiting a Buddha Burger Enthusiast let us know that the Cali is the best option. If you don't get the Cali, she said to definitely ask them to ghee your buns. We got some kind of chocolate chip toffee cookie. OMG. I'll definitely be thinking about it later. The service was awesome, but ambiance isn't the greatest. It's in a gas station. But don't think about that. It's good. We'll be back for the Cali and the chicken sandwich ASAP! And the cookie!!!

Great food, the grill cheese inside the burger is phenomenal. Great friendly service and fast as well. Go give these guys a try, the poutine fries were so good and delicious as well!

Didn't expect this place to be a food truck but to my surprise it was pretty good. The burgers were made quickly and survived the drive home. The patty had good flavor and didn't feel overly greasy. The poutine was an interesting item on the menu and the staff suggested we try it. I thought it was great. The cheese was melty and the fries weren't too soggy. The toffee cookie was a sweet and crunchy dessert. Overall definitely give this place a try if you're looking for a new burger spot.

I was enticed to try Buddha burger as result of their natural approach to their burgers. For example, I was told they ground their beef every day. The cali, according to the server, was one of the top 3 food items. As a general principle, I usually order the most popular menu items. The Cali did not disappoint! First, the bread was buttery delicious...larger than a slice of bread but smaller than a standard bun...toasted. Then the inside drippy good - a thick, fresh piece of beef, perfectly grilled onions (sweet & soft), lettuce, cheese and a special sauce. The burger was super filling. Buddha burger on metric is a food truck. They have a free standing building in Pflugerville. There is no seating outside. Therefore, it's a grab and go food truck.

I first discovered this business after attending a grand opening Yelp event for them. Some things you need to know before you arrive is the fact that the seating that they do have is outdoors and mostly not shaded. There's some covered seating directly across from the car wash, but there are no tables there. One of the drawbacks of coming here is ascending the rickety steps to place your order and to pick it up. This is definitely more of a get it to go operation unless you like sitting at a picnic table under the blazing sun. I got the double cheese and fries and they do give you a good helping of fries, but they were very stingy with just two packets of ketchup. The meat they use looks like fresh smashed beef, not previously frozen. They do a decent job in the burger business and a double smashed cheese combo will run you close to $20 (and you will face the tip screen with your credit card for that added expense). I think Buddy's burgers are of better quality and value, but they are better than In-N-Out, especially their fries. My order took less than 10 minutes to get. Informative photos/video included.

Food truck in north austin with burgers, fries, onion rings and shakes. A surprising addition to the menu is poutine down here in Texas. I didnt order it this time since we did a to go order but will have to try it next time. We got the Little Buddha burger with nirvana sauce. Burger was good! I wouldn't say it is anything super special but it is solid. The prices are comparable to shake shack or other burger places. If I were rank the burgers in the area though, this place would be in the middle of the pack. Mainly due to the high price for a good burger but not a great burger. Overall, We will be back to try some some other menu items but will probably go somewhere else to grab a burger

So, so good! I always get the basic cheeseburger, and add the fried jalapeños. Gives a nice crisp to it. I haven't had any of their chicken items yet, but they've got great burgers. And I feel like the pricing is fair enough. Most of the guys that work there are very friendly. And I love the string lights they have out at their benches. Nice touch to the ambiance.

Apparently 25% is the minimum gratuity option here. Guess they are hoping you won't notice tipping them 8 dollars for 2 burgers.

The food is incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff truly make this place special. Huge shoutout to amazing team members Ariel and Emily for being so warm and kind. The chef even made our pup Zoloft a pup cup today, which was such a sweet gesture. The lovely woman who helped us during our last visit also gave Zoloft a pup cup, so they've consistently shown kindness to our little family. They even gave complimentary vegan cookies to guests when we arrived (not sure if it was a special promotion, but such a thoughtful touch!). And the ice cream... WOW. Made with lentils, and honestly some of the best ice cream we've ever had--rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Friendly staff, delicious food, thoughtful service, and creative plant-based treats. There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc. The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. One order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. To do this just make your meal a combo on the ones you want to have fries. When I chose to eat here, I checked the reviews and there were way more positive reviews than…read morenegative, so I thought the odds were in my favor. The few negative reviews mentioned bland burgers, but the positive ones say these are the best burgers in town. I thought I couldn't be unlucky enough to be in the minority and receive bland burgers, but, boy, was I wrong! NO SEASONING IN THE PATTIES!! Not even salt? If they had just seasoned the patties like they seasoned their fries, my experience would be completely different. An easy 5 stars. But nope. A solid 2, only because of everything other than the patties. We came at around 8pm on a Saturday night and were the only customers, so maybe that should've been a sign. Also the lot felt kinda sketchy in the dark. Idk if I would have wanted to be there alone at night. Food was also ready in 10 minutes, like the guy told us. FRIES: Thick cut, well-seasoned, good. Looked like a steak seasoning on the fries. I liked it, but since they were thick, the center of the fries were bland, unfortunately. Maybe it would've been less noticeable if we ate them right away. Large serving though. My bf and I only got one combo and couldn't finish the fries with each of our burgers. The burgers are big, at 4 inches wide. THOUSAND ISLAND BURGER: I liked it at first because of the thousand island, but for the bites that didn't have it, I noticed that the patty didn't taste seasoned...like at all. I was shocked at how bland it was without the dressing. MUSHROOM BURGER: The mushrooms had no flavor, probably weren't seasoned at all. The burger, overall, was also very bland. Unseasoned patty here too. The ingredients felt fresh, but it was missing the flavor we were expecting. Really disappointing. They gave ketchup packets in the bag, but we didn't remember they were in there before finishing our burgers. It probably would've really helped, but the burgers shouldn't have needed it to be good.
