Had to come since I saw the post on IG that the malasadas is like Leonard's bakery malasadas. The service was very quick, we didn't have to wait too long. I got the Lilikoi and Koko flavors. The outside was nicely cooked making the malasadas crispy. The malasadas wasn't as fluffy and inside one malasada it didn't seem like it was cooked long enough. As a whole, not bad. read more

Blown away by their buns! So soft, fluffy, and ripe. Normally you just want to get to the fillings but with these the dough is definitely the star. Don't get me wrong, the fillings were amazing as well - both sweet and savory. I particularly like the Rex's Cut and the Huapia Hustler but honestly you can't go wrong. Super fresh and great size. Will definitely be back. They do sell out fast so go early. read more

Our daughter -in-law picked some up for breakfast. They were amazing . She brought all the flavors of malasadas: chocolate, vanilla bean, coconut, passion fruit, guava, plain sugar - all so good! She also brought three flavors of kolaches, also very yummy. The six of us shared them, cutting them so we couldtaste all the flavors. read more

YUM. Finally made it over here to try this new food cart in the neighborhood. I've had malasadas at Leonard's in Hawaii before, so I wanted to see how these compared. I thought Bun Bandits are better! I got the vanilla and the coconut, both of which were delicious (especially the coconut). I'll definitely be back for those. I also got an assortment of kolaches. I liked the spice of the jalapeno cheddar, but I wish it had ground sausage instead of a link sausage. I also got the (ground) sausage, egg and cheese which was great. Loved the breading of the kolache. Staff were super friendly. My only bit of feedback is they should have a sign next to the order window so it's easier to read while ordering. read more

I was so excited to see Bun Bandits in my neighborhood! This place exceeded expectations that were already pretty high! The Malasadas were so amazing and the fillings were spectacular. The Boss Man is the perfect plain. The Kolache I had was sooooooo good. The gal who took our order was super helpful and nice and patient with us. They have two tables outside the truck and lots of parking! I'm already excited to come back and have some more. read more

Gotta have these buns! Came here on a Saturday morning around 9am. Waited less than 5 min in line and maybe another 5 min for the buns. The kolaches were a really good size and had a decent amount of filling. The Malasadas were slightly smaller (like donut size) but just as good. I ordered the jalapeño/cheese/sausage kolache and it had great flavor, the sausages were very good and overall it wasn't very spicy. Also ordered the bacon/egg/cheese kolache and it didn't disappoint. The stars of the show were the vanilla bean custard and the Nutella filled malasadas, they were so fresh! While you should expect to wait for your order, like most food carts, food is made as you order it. We were second in line and our order took about 15 minutes. These two ladies, with Hawaii ties, aimed to serve kolaches and "Leonard's" Malasadas to Oregon! They are doing a fantastic job and so far, sell out everyday! Everything was delicious and well worth the wait! Go early and expect to wait. They will sell out! I was really excited to find out about the opening of Bun Bandits! I love kolaches and malasadas and one stop shop to buy both is even better! I arrived about 7:30 and already a line was formed. I expected the line since they sold out in 2 hours yesterday on opening day. I ordered bout kolaches and malasadas. I was told malasadas are made to order so there would be a bit of a wait. Totally fine! Who wouldn't want hot fresh malasadas?! Kolaches were a little underwhelming. Ordered a few of the grand larceny and the filling was very inconsistent. Mine barely had any filling and my son's had a ton. Malasadas were delicious. They are only available Friday and Saturday. Get there early as they do sell out. Expect a line! First heard of Bun Bandits on a KOIN news story which spurred curiosity to try them out. Finally got to try them this morning for the first time. I am vegetarian so had The Decoy. It was both yummy AND filling! As I love all things coconut, I also treated myself to the haupia hustler. That brought much joy to my tastebuds as well. They seem to be a popular destination so there was a bit of a wait for my grub, but it was worth it. Will be returning for sure. Shout out to SARAH for her friendly, helpful spirit. read more

The first time we went everything was amazing and I was very excited to go again. We went last Sunday and I ordered almost all of the exact same things and even 2 of some to have for later. As someone that grew up in Hawaii it was fun for me to get malasadas. They were perfect and brought me back to being a kid and my mom making them fresh. Where they fell short were the kolache. We had two different types, they were dry. They needed a sauce or something in the stuffing to help both with moisture and flavor. The fillings seemed like they were prepped by someone who doesn't know food. We did wait quite a bit for our food, they might need another hand and maybe the young lady was new but she had no idea how to work a POS. read more

We also bought a couple of whole pies to take home. The crust has a perfectly crisp bottom, while the fruit filling is thick and jam-like rather than watery. It's sweet but not overly sweet, with that wonderful homemade taste. Definitely one of the best pies I've ever had in Oregon! The pies are a little pricey, but the quality and flavor make them well worth it.

The food truck is located next to a few other food trucks so you won't miss the bunch of them. It comes with two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. The container was so full that the lid wouldn't even close! She wrapped it up in a plastic bag since the lid wouldn't close luckily. The hurricane chicken was so crispy and had a good mix of seasonings that didn't overpower the crispness of the chicken. It was delicious! The lady running the truck was very friendly as well! She's definitely doing what she loves! I would come back again to try the other items on the menu. It all looks so yummy!
