I've had a lot of coffee in Portland and this is seriously one of the best. Baristas are killing it plus they're super friendly and helpful. It didn't hurt that they were also playing reggae tunes on a cool cloudy morning at 6:45. I grabbed a cortado on my way out of town and it set me up just right got my drive

So... we heard about this place while standing in line for a bagel at Sincerely, Bagel. The sweet owner of Pairings PDX, Jeffrey, came out and wanted to know what the line was for. He said after we try this place, check out PDX Coffee Club for great bagels and coffee. You can never have too many bagels right? Right?! Maybe. But anyway, the bagels were a bit pricey at $5.75 each. But OMG were they delicious! The Za' atar was one of the yummiest bagels I've ever had, and I'm usually a strictly jalapeño cheddar gal. But wow. It was incredible. We also got a sesame-style one. It was sweet and salty. Also delicious but my favorite was the other one by far! My partner also got a latte of the day or something with oat milk. And that was amazing too. We will definitely be back. Friendly service too. Plenty of open seating.

Super friendly. Open at 8am. Top of the stairs. Has some breakfast options. Working on getting GF options for food. The coffee is amazing. Everything is fresh. Melts the chocolate right there for the mocha. Nothing is pre-mixed that I saw. I had a dirty chia, I got the ginger chai so good. I need to try the other one next time (pepper)

Joe serves the perfect cup of joe! This cute coffee cart is tucked away in a vibrant yet unassuming food hall. From the outside, you'd never guess that you'd find a special coffee cart run by such a nice guy. Joe is the only one preparing coffee but the wait wasn't bad. There was just one person in front of me and Joe was so fun to talk to while he prepared my drink. He cares a lot about his craft and was happy to share his experience. I ordered the latte which was rich and smooth. I hate when baristas serve my drinks piping hot and I have to wait for it to cool down but Joe served it at a perfect drinking temperature. Joe also sells Jen's pastries which would pair perfectly with one of his drinks. It was a great experience and find in Downtown Portland.

Joe is a true embodiment of the PNW. Not only will your drink give you an instant pick-me-up but so will Joe's kindness, enthusiasm, and cheerfulness. PDX Coffee Club is a hidden treasure on the second floor of the Portland Food Hall in Downtown Portland. Parking is what's expected in most downtowns but we found a spot easily on Saturday morning around 9am. My hojicha latte was perfectly crafted and readily drinkable (not too hot!) It radiated high quality and felt even more enjoyable knowing that all of the beans and teas are sourced locally. AND bonus points for not charging extra for non-dairy milks! You can choose from oat milk, almond milk, and soy milk at no extra cost. The ambiance was cozy, the location cute, and the thoughtful touches were appreciated. A few unique choices were the colored lids, mini lids made for to-go espressos, and the beautiful latte art on each drink. What truly made the experience was Joe's friendly demeanor. He was so open to conversation. He shared of how his coffee endeavors began, his future plans, and even personal kayaking stories! Genuine enthusiasm and true kindness can be hard to come by so it was a treat to have Joe share his expertise and love for coffee.

Joe is the only barista I've met who really cares about coffee, quality, customer service, and everything in between. It's always a pleasure to talk to him and he's always so positive and energetic and inspiring. It shows he loves what he does. It can get crowded and loud but we were always able to find a seat. I always recommend this place to my friends!

This place seems like a coffee lovers dream. The guys working here are super nice and knowledgeable. They have a big selection of local coffees and a drink menu that spans the traditional and the creative. There can be a wait but it's worth it!

I have been to dozens and dozens of coffee shops in the pdx area and beyond, and this place is the best coffee I've had. The owner, Joe is incredibly friendly and lovely to talk to, and everyone else is just as nice. I couldn't recommend pdx coffee club more.

They have great scones. This is always what we order here. They have cranberry, buckwheat and a special blueberry cream version. We stopped by after eating at GIGI's, to get a scone. There were only buckwheat, that's not our fav. We were hear for cranberry. It's the best. We were about to leave, with sad looks on our face. I figured I'd just ask... you never know. The person behind the counter said they would check, it might be a long time if they are baking. Fingers crossed! We had some hope... but really I didn't think they had any. The person came back and said, YES we have them. They are fresh out of the oven!!! OMG From sadness, to hope, to surprise happiness. But then we tasted one in the car. I don't think I can go back to just buying room temp scones anymore. I'd really like to sign up for the hot scone club. Any scone fans out there need to try this. It was so delicious!

The dough was light, crisp, and perfectly delicate, and the rhubarb was the true star--tart but beautifully balanced, not overwhelming at all. I went mid-morning, and it was fresh, not sitting around, which made a big difference. I honestly wish I had grabbed a second one, but my waistline politely voted no.

The inside is very small so not a place to linger or come with a group. I ordered a strawberry matcha and it was so good. The service was great. It may have just been our experience, but the first impression wasn't great. Location - If you're not familiar with the area, I highly recommend using GPS because it's tucked away on the corner of a large apartment complex and is easy to miss. It's essentially hidden. There are fewer than a small handful of guest parking spots in the complex, and the rest are reserved for residents. Street parking is available, but that's limited as well. Service - This is the primary reason for the rating. The staff member who helped us came across as less than friendly. Since it was our first time, we mentioned we were leaning toward one drink and just wanted to confirm a few things about less ice and size. He responded with "What drink?" and proceeded as if we were ready to order, without really addressing our questions. It wasn't the words themselves, but the tone and approach that felt rude. When I later asked for a receipt, he pointed to the tablet screen where it mentioned receipts would be emailed, though he did eventually hand me a printed copy. Overall, the interaction just didn't feel welcoming. Drinks - We ordered the Ube Vietnamese coffee with less ice, though it still came with quite a bit of ice. The ube was more of a thick cream consistency, which just isn't personally my preference. The Vietnamese coffee was strong, similar to what you would typically find elsewhere.
