Good spicy South Asian bbq. Place can get chaotic, but worth it if you like tikka and kabobs. Desserts and chai are ok.

The biggest reason for me wanting to try this place out is because of Scoops and Scoops I've cream. They had a location in Irvine that shut down and it was my favorite ice cream shop since they have the traditional desi style Falooda. Having lived in Pakistan for a bit, I have a taste for desi bbq and sweets so I had to try their chicken tikka and their beef Seekh Kabab. Shockingly the food came out extremely fast, including the regular naan. The food has no shine or freshness to it. It seemed like it was old but they just put it on the grill to give it warmth. The chicken thigh was dry and hard, and the seekh kabab looked like it was warmed in the microwave after being frozen. Even the naan was so thick and doughy that there was no fluff to it. Sadly, the food gets a 2 star and that's generous. Maybe it was bad timing or day I came in but this is solely based on the experience I had. What made it rise to a 3 star is because of how clean it was, and Ofcourse finally having my Falooda again at the Scoops and Scoops inside. That's what I'll be coming back for again. read more

My experience was meh!!! I would not go out of my way to return here. I called to place the to go order and I was told the wait time is 55 mins and I have to pay ahead of time. Since I was on the road I couldn't stop the car and pay over the phone I decided to walk in. I was told the same thing again 55 mins for a walk in. I had driven over 25 mins I had to place the order. The order took about 10 mins!!!! And NOT 55 mins. When your staff is telling a customer 55 mins you could lose business. Food I ordered two Naans one order of beef seekh kabob and one order of chicken gola Kabob. One fountain drink. Naan- 9/10 Big portion and soft/warm. Gola kabob (chicken) 4/10 I didn't enjoy it at all. I felt like it had no flavor and the salad with it wasn't fresh. Seekh kabob- portion 4/10 taste 10/10 Seekh kabob was the best part of the meal with naan. It tasted really good. But when they say six pieces they literally mean six bite size pieces. Drink- I tried the mango drink, it was watered down. The Pepsi didn't even taste like Pepsi, straight up sugar. I ordered food to go, I got there, food not ready and staff clueless about it. When they found my order in their system, they tried to tell me it was scheduled for later. I showed them my confirmation, which showed pick up time. I was told they'd try to rush it, after waiting for 15-20 min. I again asked and was told I still needed to wait another 5-10 min. Had I wanted to wait in person I wouldn't have paid more to pick it up when I got there. No one offered any recompense for it, yes, they apologized. But waiting 30 min was not ideal or convenient. Last night our family went to Bundoo Khan, First and foremost, the quality of the food was noticeably compromised. The dishes lacked the freshness and depth of flavor that one would expect from this restaurant. Following are few noticeable difference as Owner are busy in opening their SFO branch. We received Chicken Tikka which was served cold because we did try small bite, after expressing our dissatisfaction with the quality of the dish we had ordered, my family decided to return the food to the kitchen and kindly request an alternative. To our disbelieve they microwave the Chicken Tikka and served the same plate to us. We refused and requested for a fresh from the grille. To our disbelief, we later observed that the very same plates we had returned were served to another unsuspecting customer. This blatant disregard for food safety and customer well-being is absolutely unacceptable. It demonstrates a complete lack of integrity and professionalism on the part of the restaurant management and staff. We also noticed that one of the customer was complaining about extra Naan they have charged them. Restaurant asked him to return the Naans for a refund which he did return and they serve the Naans in another tray. In light of this disturbing incident, I strongly advise potential diners to exercise caution when getting food from them. It is my hope that this review serves as a wake-up call to the management of Bundoo Khan to rectify their shortcomings, prioritize food safety and quality, and regain the trust. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a positive dining experience. read more

Unreliable online ordering system. I understand it's Christmas and it's busy, but your system of handling mobile/in-person orders is completely disorganized. I must admit, although the food takes its time to be made. The quality Of meat served here is one of the best! I've come twice to ensure consistency of service and food quality. (I did read the other reviews regarding customer service and uncooked meat). Happy to report, with both of my visits I was greeted properly and was able to place my order and ask questions at ease (looks like management has fixed this issue). I also took note of my items on the plate, I didn't experience any uncooked meat. Amazing BBQ! This place is such a vibe, it's perfect when you are craving something a little exotic. The classic desi music, the open kitchen, and most importantly, the food. We've been coming here for about a year now and our personal favorites are beef seekh kabob, chicken seekh kabob, beef Bihari, and malai chicken. Also, their naan is one of the best I've ever had. If you are visiting California, drop in here for some great food. Even I you live in California, you should still drop in, more often even. First things first, the food quality completely lives up its hype and global popularity. This is Bundoo Khan as authentic as it can be. I've been to locations in Houston and in Chicago and obviously the ones in Pakistan and I am glad to say the new location in Southern California met expectations. Now the bad news: MANAGEMENT AND STAFF NEEDS TO DO A BETTER JOB IN MANAGING CUSTOMERS AND STOP DOING FAVORS TO THEIR FRIENDS. I stood in line for 1.5 hours to order my food, as did several others. But Desi people are ridiculous - they were coming from the back entrance trying to be "clever" and trying to swoop into the order line. Some customers who were in line were letting their friends into the line with them. Some of the people that had patiently waited in line were having to wait much, much longer because of others not following the protocol. ON TOP OF THAT - there were Bundoo Khan's OWN employees and staff who was doing favor to their friends. In front of me a bunch of guys sat down lwith a sense of entitlement and did not get in line, and simply goes up to the front of the line and calls his buddy (an employee in the kitchen), places his order and then goes back to sit his ass down. Ridiculous and so unprofessional. So yeah. The food is excellent. The restaurant setting, location, etc., is excellent. First day open- Some hiccups in communication and in order completion. I had to go back two added times to get the items I ordered. The food was good quality. The Naan was severely under cooked on the thicker parts (almost raw). So be careful. Meh.. this place is not worth it. My family and I recently came here for the first time and we did not have a good experience. The customer service is not great. The beef seekh kabob is like the size of your finger, the smallest kabobs you'll ever see, it's like a kids meal! The naan was hard, the raita dispenser was dirty and kept leaking. This place serves the most authentic Karachi street style kabob and Paratha one can get outside Pakistan. -The Chicken paratha rolls are amazing!! -The Bihari Kabobs are mouth watering!! -The Chicken and Beef Seekh kabobs are awesome (though less spicy than what I thought they should be) -The Naan bread is too good. -The standard large Paratha is soaking in a gallon of oil... US does not need to invade any Middle Eastern country anymore... they can get all the oil they need right here in Fullerton! All jokes aside, yes this food is greasy and spicy but it is not pretending to be health food of any kind. Anyone on a Kale salad diet will probably have a heart attack just driving by this place. Prices are quite reasonable, if you consider the quantity of food. Yes the soft launch has become long in the tooth and they should be opening the place around noon, not at 4:00 p.m. like they have been for over a month! I have not tried everything on the menu but can't wait to go back their again. Scoops'N Scoops ice cream serves their regular desserts inside and Ferrero Rocher ice cream was quite a hit. So finally we went! Wanted to wait for the hype to be over and from all I had read and heard, hopefully some improvements would have been made. Overall: Not too thrilled unfortunately. I really really like this place. I must admit I have only had Pakistani food once before and it was good. This place raises the bar very hi though. The tikka chicken breast here is outstanding. Sure you gotta wait for them to prepare it, but it's so fresh and delicious you will not regret. One of my favorite items is also the masala chai. Sometimes I come here just for that. Iconic BBQ from the streets of Karachi made its way to Fullerton. For the first time ever, an authentic Pakistani BBQ in the US. Same mouth watering taste as the original location in Karachi. Highly recommend it. Loved the experience. Please ignore any review that complains about the wait. I went on a Friday evening and our food was served within 10 mins. They have made it very clear about still being in their soft opening phase. With its legendary popularity, they are getting an overwhelming response. Sometimes lines can get long, which is normal for any restaurant and sometimes it's absolutely natural to run out of meat. This happens at EVERY good BBQ joint. I had a scheduled order and they prepared it earlier than expected so that was good. The place was pretty packed when i went there to pick up my order but the pickup went fairly smooth so no complaints. When it comes to food, its was alright ovverall. The bihari kebab tasted interesting and was very soft. The beef seekh kebabs are tiny pieces and the flavour is nothing to write home about. The roll is basically a fried puri (parantha as they like to call it) filed with your choice of meat. I liked the chicken malai tikka which was soft and flavorful . The naan (tandoori) was below average. I will try out this place one more time but till now hasnt lived up to the hype. read more

The food was okay, I have tried better chicken tikka Bihari and We also ordered the chicken kabob but they gave us beef instead without communicating because they ran out of chicken. First and foremost, awesome to see the return of Scoops and Scoops! Good to see restaurants and businesses make a comeback...remember folks we are still at a crux of a pandemic.
