Came for the Icecream, came back again for the burger. It's good, but the burger is just too greasy to my liking. I'll return, but only for the soft serve when I'm tipsy. It's definitely an appealing spot for the halal folks is what I'll end with.

Burg and Shaw is a wonderful addition to the Downtown area. It was a great experience overall with exceptional and friendly customer service from a small shop, particularly from Aadil. The food came out quick and hot and the workers were apologetic for the wait even though it was only about a 5-10 minute wait despite the crowds during dinner. The stack pack is a great deal that comes with both of their sandwiches along with a side of fries (in store deal only). I'd recommend getting a double patty for the burger and while both sandwiches were good, I preferred the smash burger over the shawarma. The eating area is standing room only with two counters so most people take their orders to go. The staff were super attentive to everyone in the store as well, most notably the fact that they remembered everyone's names even after they got their orders. In a food scene saturated with loads of smash burgers, the staff made the place stand out with genuine service and positive customer interactions. They even hand wrote personal messages onto bags for delivery orders. Aside from the food, their ice cream is super distinct with notes of cardamom, cinnamon, and vanilla. I'd recommend checking this place out for a quick bite if you're in the area!

Came in here on a Saturday night around 6:30. A few people there. Very tiny place. Takeout only no seating. Small menu. I got the burg and it said it came with cheese but mine did not have any cheese on it and it had a ton of burger sauce. I couldn't really taste the patty and the bun was not great. Kind of dry. Employees were extremely friendly here though. Single burger was 8$.

Small joint with solid burgers. I got the Stack Pack. Great seasoning on both the burgers. The chicken one had a nice shawarma-esque flavor and the beef one had a classic beefy flavor. Definitely recommend eating the burgers ASAP to prevent soggy buns. Would be a great drunchie meal haha

Wow, this place is seriously special!! I've never had a burger quite like this, definitely not anywhere else in Boston, and possibly anywhere else at all. They've perfected the simplicity of their menu, only offering two burgers and of course fries, but the flavors and textures are balanced wonderfully and honestly out of this world! I love the mediterranean take on this spot's flavors which brings a unique and personal-feeling energy to the food and atmosphere, but also do not detract from that classic burger taste, if anything it enhances it, adding an interesting contrast of flavor that remains just as desirable! I love the chicken burger but the beef burger is really the star of the show, tender as can be and packed with classic yet complex flavors. This has to be one of my new fav burger spots in the city! They know exactly what they're doing. Not to mention the absolutely incredible ice cream, it tasted almost like horchata! So cool! I'm a huge fa of this spot and think everyone should give it a try. Right by boston commons and the movie theatres it's great for a quick lunch or dinner and a show! The service is quick even during peak hours and the staff is incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming making you feel right at home!

Both burg and shaw are pretty tasty! It's a cool take on burgers, and I like that there aren't a ton of options (choosing is easy)! Got our food relatively quick and got to chat with some of the staff. Get the spice cream, it's so good. The customer service and energy in this place is amazing, would come back just for the friendly staff!!

Came here during their first day of full long operations day- they open earlier this week. The space is small with no space to sit so it's meant more for a take out service ( you can stand on a side with some table space to eat). The menu is simple with either a chicken Shaw or a beef burg burger. This is an east meets west burger where hamburger is filled with middle eastern filling. Take for example that Chicken Shaw is kinda of like a chicken shawarma in it! The fries unfortunately was abit too crispy or dry aka too "golden" fries and so want not for my liking. The burger is delicious though! You can get a combo for fries and drink (can coke or sprite or water) for $5.99. Fries alone for $4.29 The staff are very friendly and helpful. The wait is a bit long but this is also the opening week so they deserve to have a bit of leniency as they figure it out! It was probably like 15 mins wait with 3-4 people in front of me. Give this new small local business a try-it's delicious!

Prices are quite reasonable considering the location! And the staff is very friendly with warm smiles! Space inside is small, so more likely you'll have to take your food to go. Also, they do not take cash! So make sure you have your credit card! Now on to the FOOD!!! I think I found my new burger spot!!!!!!!! Absolutely delicious burgers with incredible flavor, packed with sauce, buns that are buttery, just YUM! The chicken shaw is absolutely banger, what a yummy chicken shwarma but like in burger format? Love!! You HAVE to get the fries, they are seasoned sooooo well and alongside their burg sauce!! Also really love their cute packaging, it's absolutely adorable and very fresh! If you're considering this place, GO!!! It's absolutely delicious and you will not regret it!

The burger looked depressing and completely unappetizing -- smashed bun, greasy, and burnt-looking patty. The grilled cheese was even worse because they basically used the same hamburger buns flipped inside out instead of actual bread. It felt lazy and not worth the money. Don't think I'll be coming back. BTW the meat patty tasted so salty. My fries are way too salty too.

Hands down my favorite burger in the city- get a double if you're really hungry! The sauce they make is next level. The ice cream is unique delicious as well. An amazing hidden gem

Are you KIDDING me?! This is the best dang sandwich I've had in YEARS. From the first bite I could tell these guys are so thoughtful in how they make their burgers. They make their own bread. Their sauces are familiar yet have a unique and elevated flair. The Burg had an awesomely buttery crisp bite and everything just melted in my mouth afterwards bursting with flavor from the patty and awesome sauce. The chicken Shaw is no exception - amazing marinated and flavorful chicken and that garlic sauce is nooo joke holy moly so good. The location itself is conveniently located near Boston common and very clean and nicely styled. Lastly, the owner is super nice and cares a lot about quality. I'm so pumped these guys opened!

Maybe I'm too old, but fine dining should involve that refinement. Stop calling yourself fine dining and call it expensive food with uppity servers and no dress code. Food was amazing- so please know I would absolutely go back for the food! We had lobster bisque, the best Caesar salad (top 5), calm chowder, shrimp and clams, lamb and a fillet. During our meal just after the lovely table side service of the lobster bisque my son accidentally moved the table with his feet and the drinks flew into my food. Our server watched it happen and walked away. She turned not to help but out of disgust walked the other way! The food runner came to the rescue! But then we were charged for another drink that spilled! I don't know but when your at fine dining and you get double charged for a table moving and treated like you are an inconvenience that gets me. Plus she was clearly angry with us. Food 5 stars, service 2, price for the service we received totally not worth it. Don't waste your money to get treated badly. Sorry kitchen but front of the house ruined it.

We never had to ask for our glasses to be refilled, our waiter was attentive and professional. My husband had indicated on the online reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and that was the only mention of our celebration.
