What truly sets Burger 3000 apart is the hospitality. I'm assuming it was the owner, and he was extremely friendly--going as far as offering me a drink and one for my son. You could see them fumbling around a bit 2-3 people working on a single order and still waited over 20 mins for a burger and fries with almost no one inside and no orders incoming. I paid almost $30 for a double Oklahoma with bacon, the burger came out well seasoned but it was much to small for the price of the burger, and truffle fries, which was also very small and could have had a stronger flavor, I paid for ranch and secret hot sauce which tasted store bought and disappointing to pay for. I ordered takeout and I have to say I will NEVER be coming back here. These are the SMALLEST BURGERS EVER. The bread is the size of a slider. The meat was so thin and was beyond smashed to the point where it separated and made the patty have holes. It didn't even look like it had 2 patties on it. It was also incredibly burnt and crispy. I also paid EXTRA for avocado on my burger and they didn't add it, I also asked for the sauce on the side AND bought a ranch and they didn't add ANY of the sauces I ordered!!! I was left with a dry burger and no ranch. I was beyond disappointed when I got home. The team member in the black hat was especially kind and patient. It was our first visit, and they took the time to walk us through the menu, answer our questions, and make recommendations without ever rushing us. The outer-space theme and black lights make the atmosphere fun and memorable. The mozzarella "Moon" delivered an almost 2-foot cheese pull, and my grilled cheese (on what tasted like a Hawaiian roll) had that perfect sweet-and-savory balance. The windows and doors were blacked out with decals, giving no visibility inside -- with the lights and black paint, it felt a little like a laser tag arena. I had the triple wagyu burger with a side of onion rings and a side of mozzarella moonsticks. And tbh I wasn't that impressed?? Onion rings and moonsticks had decent seasoning, but felt over fried. The onion rings' breading was a bit too crunchy, on the cusp of cutting up the inside of my mouth. The moonsticks were a fun shape, but the cheesiness was inconsistent; some of them had partially fried the cheese into stiffness while the rest had fully fried the cheese into being nonexistent. The burger was so-so. The direction of the flavor was there -- wasn't mad at the sauce, good amount of cheese, and a great amount of meat! But the meat was kinda dry, and somehow without that crispier edge smashed patties are wont to have. Was expecting more of a juicy, greasy edge that just wasn't there. None of this was actively bad, but it was almost $30 before tip, which just felt like too much for it to be just okay while other burgers exist in a 10 minute radius for equal price or cheaper AND better. I want this place to be good, especially since the staff was really friendly, and I liked the (very Black Eyed Peas heavy) playlist!
