I'm very bummed because I was really looking forward to this burger but I can't eat meat that is rare. The place isn't even busy and it takes 45 minutes for them to get him his order. Did you butcher the cow? He rushes home, only about 12 min away, and the burgers are cold and they forgot the fries. To be fair, the burgers were decent. I call and ask what they can do and they suggest we come all the way back for the fries. Um no. How about a credit? Or you deliver what you forgot? Food was just ok for supposedly being "all natural, no antibiotics, no this, no that" they didn't even serve ranch because it has too many preservatives etc. In it but they did serve us a bomb ass garlic aioli instesd. Fries were greasy ASF and don't waste your money on that "poutine" lol. I'd say the gelato and their bacon (alone) was the best part of the whole trip. The whole establishment from the first step inside was really dirty. Everything was sticky and just grimey. Especially the bathroom. And don't even get me started on the guy who helped us. During this outlandish time to get 2 burgers and fries 4 uber eats drivers come in for orders and one of the guys behind the counter (think it's the owner) was a complete asshole to one if them. Food is OK but not 45 minute on at all. Heard him talking about a food truck. Good luck dude. People don't wait at a food truck for 40 minutes for a burger. 5 guys blows this place away. Here are my two cents. After debating on trying this place.... Total disappointment. We upgraded to the medium size burger just so we could have it cooked to order. Both burgers were over cooked, medium well instead of med-rare. Two orders of fries and four burgers was too much for the kitchen to handle it appears. The chef said that's what happens when a group of four come in with some attitude (he's also wearing a NYP uniform which was down the street but closed). I went with the family tonight for the first time. I didn't really know what to expect, but several folks recommended this place to me, so we went. Atmosphere: They are going for the "dive" feel, so don't expect much as far as asthetics when you go in. It's a pretty small place. Some of the best burgers can be found at dives like this, so I wasn't too worried about it. Prices: A little high. My 10 oz. Cajun Addict (2-5 oz. patties stacked) was $14 and you had to pay $3 extra for fries and a drink. And by drink I mean a can of coke in the fridge next to the register. You get a lot of fries though. My wife's BLAT Burger was $13 for a 5 oz. pattie, bacon, lettuce and tomato. She didn't get the drink and fries. The kids had a couple Addict burger meals. Total for 4 of us with tip was $63! Quality of Food: I liked the burger. Carmelized onions add a great flavor and the aioli is really good. Good cheese. The bun fell apart. The fries appear to be homemade and maybe a little overdone - good though and a lot of them. Quality of Service: This is where the stars come off. When we got there were only 7 other people in the place so we didn't have to wait to give our order. When the guy came out, he started off with telling me that it was going to be a 45 minute wait for our food. I didn't understand why, but he said they have a BUNCH of call in orders for delivery, so it would take a while. Apparently they do a lot of Door Dash, UberEats and GrubHub business. And that appears to be the priority. I don't know if they were short staffed, but I didn't think it should take so long to cook 4 burgers and 3 fries. Here's where it gets weird. About 7:15, the guy at the counter apparently had to leave? Because they stopped answering the phone (which rang forever), turned off the "Open" sign and locked the doors! I had to double check to see when they closed because I couldn't understand why any business would close so early on a Saturday night. They advertise that they close at 10:00pm. Great food! We ordered the Smoked Prime Brisket Po' Boy, the Addict Burger, Mac & Cheese and A Mango Gelato Smoothie. The Carolina BBQ sauce on the brisket sandwich was super tasty. My burger was simple and delicious. I really appreciated that the grilled onion stayed on the burger while eating it, unlike a lot of other burgers I've had. The mac and cheese was good. I'd order it again but probably try it with bacon. The mango shake was also pretty tasty. I ordered the addict burger, the hog burger, garlic fries, kids burger, and a chocolate shake(around $50 so its pricey). We ordered through their delivery service on yelp and the food took 76 minutes to arrive. The food temperature ranged from cold-luke warm. Which is surprising cause we live 4 miles away. The burgers were okay. They were not cooked correctly like we asked, we told them medium-well and they decided to make our burgers medium cooked and my kids burger medium-rare :/ We didn't get the oozing gooey cheese as pictured in all their advertisements. We got the regular one slice of deli cheese. I love garlic but the garlic fries were sooo overpowering. And they smear a bunch of garlic paste all over their soggy fries(yeah not crispy as advertised either), so you can't get away from it. The chocolate shake was disgusting and inedible. My husband said it tasted like they put chemicals in it :/ WTH. I don't know how they could mess up every single thing possible that we ordered, but they managed too. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MEDIOCRE BURGER My husband and I stopped here for what we thought would be a quick burger to take home and with the looks of it, and never being there before, we thought that's what this place was. We were the ONLY 2 people in there and it took over 40 MINUTES to get our food. Before we got our food I asked how long it would be and said we had waited over 40 minutes and I asked if that was typical. The owner then told me "well.. It's a Saturday night and we have won an award, best burgers in town" and would give me our money back and then continued to talk over me as I said I don't want our money back and was just asking a more efficient way of ordering because 40 minutes is ridiculous, "award" or not. Frustrated by the owners customer service... I took the burger home (5min away) expecting a great burger and what I got was a Luke warm burger that wasn't even what I ordered!! I am a total foodie and will wait for great quality food and customer service and will travel far for it.. But this was a total disappointment. If the owner would have treated the situation differently and APOLOGIZE for the long wait instead of trying to defend himself and talk over me.. My option would still be the same about the burger.. After seeing the photos (looked good to me) and reading all the hype and controversy, I decided to try this place out for lunch. I arrived at about 12:10 on a Wednesday afternoon. There was one cook, and two guys standing around talking with the other customer, who let me go ahead and order since he was waiting for co-workers to arrive. I picked my soda out of the cooler and sat down near the door to play candy crush and wait for my food. So I waited.. ... And waited. ... Meanwhile the two guys are still just B.S.ing with the group of guys. ... At 12:44 i took a call from my office. Then I waited some more. ... Just before 1:00, a lady received her phoned in to-go order, and they told me my food was coming up next. ... At about 1:05 the group of 6-8 guys who came in after I ordered received their burgers, plate of fries, two plates of mac and cheese, and probably more. ... Finally at about 1:10 or 1:15 I received my burger and fries. I was asked if I wanted some Ketchup. I asked for some mustard, which garnered a mumbled reply and was then ignored. How was the food? The burger was cooked well-done (not medium as ordered), and started to crumble half way through, as other reviewers have mentioned. It was pretty bland and dry, like it was made from fairly lean, unseasoned beef. The "addict cheese" was actually pretty tasty. The lettuce onion and tomato were nice and fresh. No complaints with the bun. The fries were soft, covered in oil, and very dark, as though the fryer temp was way off or something. Pretty unappetizing. I had five or ten and left the rest. I really wanted to like Burger Addict because I love the story behind it, but I was disappointed. Both of the burgers we ordered were significantly undercooked. My "well done" burger had a lot of pink and my boyfriend who ordered his medium-well, was served completely rare beef! I have never been served a burger that way. The other issue was that both our burgers completely crumbled as we ate them. It made it really hard to enjoy them. For those reasons, I can only give it 1 star and won't recommend it. I did enjoy the burger addict cheese, our vanilla gelato milkshake, and the handmade fries. I appreciate that they make everything in house (even the gelato). This is a tough spot for me to review. The location isn't the greatest; although it's on a busy road unless you're looking for it and are heading the right direction you could easily miss it. It's a tiny restaurant that, thanks to Covid, is not offering seating. We took our order and ate it in our private dining room, aka our car in the parking lot. The burgers were delicious...truly great. Fresh patty, generous toppings. It's a two-handed burger or else it will be in your lap. There was a generous portion of fries but they needed salt. Thankfully all this private dining has led to a surplus of salt packets in the glove box. The onion rings have potential but I think the frying oil wasn't quite hot enough so the rings were soggy. But what is bringing my rating down is the political rant the owner went on. Sir, I understand and sympathize with your position but lecturing me on all you feel is wrong with WA and the country isn't the way to bring me back to your restaurant. Honestly I really want to like these guys. I've had them 4 or 5 times now and I've only had 1 good experience. More often than not you're going to get a flavorless pile of mush. Burger Addict reminds me of what it used to be like to go to Zippy's burgers, before they got all crazy popular and busy, so hit up the Addict before there's a line out the door! We ordered The Natural to split - minus the onions (which I hate) and the aioli (because neither one of us are aioli/mayo fans). Bumped it up to a meal for only $3. When the burger came out, they'd split it for us onto two plates without us even having to ask, and gave us each a really generous portion of their delicious skin-on fries. The fries were cooked perfectly, and contrary to another review I read, were not at all over-salted. As for the burger... look, I'm not going to pretend to care about the meat as much as my boyfriend does, who by the way, said the meat is super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The point of this burger, for me, is that CHEESE. I don't think I've ever had a more perfect-for-a-burger cheese. It's natural white, oozey, gooey, meltey, and abundant. It was dripping off my boyfriend's half of the burger onto his plate, and I kept stealing delicious bites of it. I think their buns are homemade, and they're delicious, but I do think they need to be just a tad more substantial. The bun offered me little assistance in keeping all of the burger and its accessories under control. Easily the best burger I've had in the Seattle area. The space is small in a weird little strip on Maple Valley Highway but you're not here for ambience. With what they had to work with the space is still pretty inviting with light wood throughout. Service has been very friendly, and upon my return visit I was greeted with familiarity. The main attraction is the burger. The beef is ground on site and the patties weigh in at 10 oz. Each iteration comes with house made melty cheese. There are a few suggested combinations and I have only tried the Addict burger with caramelized Walla Walla onions, melty cheese and aolil. The burger tastes great, is very nicely cooked, and the accompaniments are killer. Fries are pretty good skin on, rustic type spuds with variable consistency of doneness. I will be returning to try the Pastrawesome. Each burger is priced individually at around $6 or as a meal with fries and a drink for around $3 more. Burgers cooked to order, I recommend you ask them to salt and pepper the patty, topped with that killer cheese. I get the "natural" and have been there 3 days in a row!! Ordered a few nights ago, for delivery. Pastrawesome, Natural Burger, Fries and Poutine. The buns were hard as a rock, the burgers were dry and tasteless, I'd dare say unseasoned. The pastrami was tasteless, dry, and tough. The Fries were limp and flavorless. My girlfriend couldn't even finish the Natural Burger, she ate less than half of it. The pricing was considerably too high for the quality that we got, especially the poutine. $10 for poutine? (I wouldn't have ordered it, if I knew, but my girlfriend is the one that placed the order, and I didn't see prices.) My Pastrawesome Burger was not awesome, nor was there actual pastrami on it. There was some ground up meat (maybe it was ground pastrami? Not sure) on top of the burger, not slices of fresh pastrami like you see in the Yelp picture or what is in the description. The burger part of the burger was good, but the bun wasn't. It fell apart by the end of the meal. The fries looked to be natural cut and fresh, and they tasted good but they were lukewarm at best. I'll give this place another try to work out the new place bugs, but it needs some work. First thing is go back to putting sliced pastrami on your pastrami burger, and invest in some brioche or potato rolls that will hold up with the rest of the ingredients. read more

I love trying new restaurants in the Renton area... Especially ones that are actually good! The location is eh. But the food is definitely quality. I ordered the addict burger meal and a vanilla bean gelato milkshake (They now have milkshakes!!!) There's two flavors: vanilla bean and Gharadelli chocolate. It was good! But what would've made it a 10/10 for me is if it was topped with whipped cream and if the shake was thicker! (Thick milkshakes are da best.) Anyway, the burger was bombbb! Fresh baked bun, the meat was just how I wanted it cooked (medium well), garlic aioli was on point, and the CHEESE... TRY IT. Burger, fries and a milkshake is the perfect meal! Oh and they deliver! Which I'm happy about because now I don't have to settle for pizza or Chinese food for delivery when I'm lazy to drive somewhere. Burger Addict has potential to open up more restaurants! I ordered 2 addict burgers for take-out. Super tasty burgers, though I could swear they taste better when hot! Just one thing: the delivery guy (short & stout) does Not like it when you call out, "who is it?" before answering the door. He won't hesitate to scold you about that. O.o read more

Ridiculously good! We got a burger with bleu and mushrooms and the mac and cheese with bacon. The burger came together perfectly - both in flavor and structure. It doesn't fall apart into an overly greasy mess. Perfect for takeout! The mac and cheese was super creamy and cheesy. And the bacon was crisp. I really, really loved it and you should try it. I saw a review in the Seattle Times on Feb. 1, 2019 of the new location in Kirkland across the street from Lee Johnson Chevrolet. My wife and went to the location on February 2, 2019. We each had their Whole Hog Burger, 5 ounces of Burger and lots of thick cut bacon. I thought the size would not be big enough. It was almost more than I could eat. For the food definitely give stars. For the price definitely 1 star. This my three star rating. My wife had a can of soda. I had a milkshake. The burgers were cooked perfectly - medium rare for me, medium for my wife. The cost, without a tip was FORTY DOLLARS!!!! The food was terrific but certainly not worth the price which is more in keeping with the best steakhouses in Seattle. read more

Omg! This burger was amazing. The guy who helped us is funny and has a sense of humor. He was entertaining while we waited for our food. The cook was also very kind as well. While having friendly service is great, what made it even better was the food. The burger was amazing, juicy and just right. And thr fries were to die for. Crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle. I suggest that everyone try this place. The burger is only 280 calories. Oh and their sauce is super good with the fries. read more

I tried to order one Burger Addict meal (burger $5.45 + fries $3) and one The Natural meal (burger $5.45 and fries $3). I asked if it was possible to substitute garlic fries for one of the regular fries. I was expecting to pay $3 more (the difference between $3 fries and $6 garlic fries). Marcus told me I could substitute an order of garlic fries, but it would be $8 EXTRA, making the one meal $16.45 ($5.45 burger + $11 fries). How can this be since the menu states garlic fries are $6 a la carte? I asked for clarification several times thinking there was some kind of miscommunication happening.. Marcus made himself very clear including going on about how the white truffle fries are selling out at $12 EXTRA. I get excited when I see a new locally owned eatery open up out here in the outskirts of King County (after 23 years of living in Ballard with easy access to downtown). But sorry, I'm not that excited that I'm going to pay $11 for an order of garlic fries or patronize an establishment that won't honor it's published prices. I wish Marcus well and hope that his fries continue to be in ridiculous demand, but for me, it is a no-go just based on principle. I will, however, continue to stop by the little convenience store next door. They have the Henry Weinhard's black cherry cream soda that my spouse loves. ETA: Marcus, to respond to your comment (which you have now deleted), you identified yourself when you answered the phone. Interesting that you responded to my Yelp review claiming it didn't happen but yet you were able to identify that it was a phone-in order. I also note that you have raised your prices since my review two days ago. You have raised the burger prices from $5.45 to $6.45 and also the garlic fries from $6 to $8. Ok...your choice. But those weren't the prices when I tried to order two days ago. Instead of honoring the prices you published you chose to call me a liar. I'm totally cool with you charging whatever you want.
