First of all I want to say that I love BURGER KING;however, this particular location has its ups & downs. Case in point, last night when I was there, I was patiently waiting to order my food, and the counter lady was exchanging currency from one register to the another. I was waiting to order for about 5 min. I almost was ready to leave when she finally acknowleged me for waiting. And then another customer came in to order his food and he was served promptly. The reason I am giving this Burger King 5 stars is because of the woman working the night shift. She is amazing and her friendly personality is infectious. She is so friendly and I am pretty sure she was the only person working when I stopped by on a Thursday night at 9:30pm. She had about 4 other people in line but she didn't let the stress get to her. First of all, the guy that runs this BK is RUDE! When we got there, he was standing over the fryer carving a carrot into some kind of figurine. Although it looked pretty cool, NOT appropriate do be doing in a restaurant! I always order the same thing at BK, and always substitute onion rings for fries, and I've never had a problem. However, when I tried to order at this location and asked to sub the o-rings, he said "NO!" in a loud enough voice that both myself and my boyfriend were startled. Come on, dude. This Burger King is awesome! Small shop but they have indoor and outdoor seating. What's most impressive is their fast service! Walked in a I was helped right away and my food took literally only 2 minutes! I got an ultimate bacon cheeseburger, 2 10 piece orders of nuggets, and medium fries. Very impressed. read more

Why five stars? Because they have never gotten my order wrong and they take expired coupons! This is great when you're broke. The guy working there sticks his hand out expecting my coupon so this means i go to this burger king alot. They are nice but curt b/c they're trying to get your food to you as quick as possible. super cramped. fyi, no bathroom. had the cheeto chicken fries for the hell of it, but it was pretty meh. the inside is similar to that of a normal chicken nugget, with a homogenous blob of well-seasoned mystery meat. the coating looks semi-cheeto like, though the shade of orange is a bit darker (i'm assuming because of the browning during frying). it's crispy, but not particularly cheesy or cheeto-tasting. would skip, especially since a box of 10ish cheeto chicken fries is $6-7. read more

Ever since they redesigned the place, they took away THE primary reason I went there. The magazine stands. I have a habit of reading or watching stuff while eating, and I like reading current events, so I tend to eat at places where I can grab a copy of the latest SF Weekly or Bay Guardian. Not only were these all removed, the new seating space is half the size it used to be, and no more self-serve drinks, which means playing roulette on whether or not they'll remember when I say "No ice" None of their employees, except for one girl, actually ever smiles either. read more

The employees that work nights are super nice and go the extra step by going above and beyond what you'd generally expect at a late night fast food joint. I came tonight and my cashier was Michael. He really pays attention to the customers that he is serving. For example, he asked if I wanted to wait an extra few minutes so they could make fresh French fries because he wasn't sure how hot they were. You already know I'ma wait! Then, when I got my food he didn't blankly yell out the number for my order, instead he remembered my order and waved me over. Definitely more personal! And instead of tossing the bag through the window he simply let me grab the bag before telling me that he put ketchup and straws and napkins and do i need anything else before leaving. They make me feel taken care of and very confident that disappointment is not on the menu. read more

I got my food super quick and the ladies who were working when I went were very nice. There's not too much seating at this location since it's mainly geared towards take-out. So, this BK location just reopened today after a renovation, and damn they did a good job :D The dining area's been moved and shrank a bit, but there's all new furniture, and it no longer feels like a grimy throwback to the 90's. Service was pretty friendly, although the cashier took a bit to take my order (I didn't really mind, it looked like it was her first day on the job). I went through a stage where I was very broke and very hungry and walking home from work, I would pass Burger King, with the smells that simultaneously made my mouth water and my stomach churn. Twice I gave into my taste buds and ordered a large helping of fries. After wolfing them down and feeling satisfied and incredibly guilty (I used to proudly tell people I hadn't eating fast food in over 2 years), I went to sleep, only to wake up in the middle of the night with a horrible headache, BOTH TIMES!!!! At first I thought I had a tumor (when in that half sleeping state, I come to most terrible conclusions) only to be told later that Burger King puts MSG in everything and surprise of surprises, MSG has been known to give some people headaches. So from now on, if I'm down to my last couple of dollars, I will walk the half block to the fruit stall and buy myself an apple, and proudly state to anyone that will listen that I have not been into a fast food for over 8 months! read more

Regretted eating here after my first bite. I knew there wasa reason why I stay away from fast food. I ordered a Whopper and onion rings. Instead of an image of a sizzling patty, with fresh veggies and bread, you get a damp, mildly meat flavored patty with plasticky textured veggies and bread that disintegrates. i'm changing my review from my previous 4-star review to 1 star after dealing with the man who was either the store manager or regional manager for this location. after registering a complaint via company feedback survey about how ridiculous it is that BK charged me extra for a non-ketchup condiment for my fries, when literally no other fast food chain in SF does this, i received a call from this manager who was, to be frank, a complete and total a$$hole who has no right managing this or any business. the guy belittled me on the phone and then told me that i somehow "got people fired" who worked there because i mentioned how previously i hadn't been charged for a sauce to dip my fries in, and whoever did that was now fired. which is a shame cause the people who have been working at this location for as long as i've been living here seem to have such a great work ethic and are always friendly and on point - they're the reason i gave this location 4 stars to begin with. and now this douchebag manager fires some of them cause i don't think i should be charged extra for dipping sauce. wow. just wow. i've managed small businesses and work as a branding consultant now and the level of unabashed disregard this manager showed me on the phone was horrendous. never again will i be going to any BK in SF as long as i know this asshat may be running them, and i'll be encouraging my friends to go to literally any other fast food chain as well if they want fast food. jack in the box, mcdonald's, in-n-out, et al would NEVER treat a customer or their employees how this horrible regional BK manager has. i'll gladly take my daily business elsewhere. read more

If you're in the area past 11 pm and need some fast food you take a risk going to this location. Since the main dining area closes at 9 pm they only take orders from a side window. While it fronts a busy intersection of Geary Blvd. it is not what I would term a safe place to wait as you are basically standing on the corner. Also your wallet and cash are visible to all who are passing by. You will wait a very long time as the servers only prepare orders as they get them, and they are very very slow in doing so. And in the meantime you are waiting for such a long time you may encounter a lot of rowdy people who frequent the night club next door or the Irish bar on the next corner. read more
