Walked into a nice atmosphere with a large cool bar. We were seated promptly. Had to wait about 10 minutes before anybody tended to us. Drink service was ok, with the pours being on the light side. Versatile menu with a good selection. Meal service was problematic. A ribeye that was ordered medium, was brought out rare. It took another 5 minutes to wave down the server to inform him. The exact same steak was brought back out and tasted like it was blasted by a gas flame. The meat tasted like fuel and was unseasoned to add insult. Seriously, you could probably get a better steak at Outback or even Applebees. Then about 5 minutes later, another server brought out another steak. They were obviously so unorganized that couldn't keep their orders straight. The ultimate fail was when we were presented with the bill. The server would not show us the itemized bill, only the little computer with the total on it and the tipping options which start at 20% and go up from there. After tipping and signing we were only then presented with an itemized receipt. We then noticed that we're overcharged for an extra steak. This was SHADY! This place is obviously trying to take advantage of senior citizens who are not familiar with the electric payment and trying to slip in extra charges. We won't be returning here although they do have a happy hour that we might give them a second chance on. Definitely don't come here for the steak. read more

My friends live in Delray and they chose this place because they've been there before and liked it. They have a nice large covered outdoor dining area if you do not want to sit inside. Despite the rain we were perfectly fine in the outdoor dining area. If you like cocktails they have a full cocktail menu as well as a nice wine list. I asked my friend David what he likes to order here and he said the lobster roll. He said it's a big roll and delicious. I love lobster so even though I looked at the menu I went with the lobster roll and I was not disappointed. This was probably the biggest lobster roll I've ever had and I've had lobster roll in Maine many times. Big juicy pieces of lobster with light mayonaise and a little bit of shredded cabbage/coleslaw. I usually skip the roll and just eat the lobster but this one tasted like brioche, nice and buttery that I ate half of it. The lobster come with a side of either French fries, coleslaw or a vegetable. I had the coleslaw which was good. My friend Stella ordered the parmesan truffle fries which were amazing. Three out of the four of us had the lobster roll and loved it. I'm coming back here just for that! Our 1st time visiting, the location is convenient, inviting and well lit with plenty of parking. They have 2 menus, 1 regular and other is gluten-free, which I find to be very accompdating. Service is excellent with attention to detail and prompt. However, I ordered a dinner salad with BBQ chicken + avocado which was $20+ and it was served with 3 small over cooked strips of grilled chicken coated with BBQ sauce and apporx a 4 quarter inch pieces of avocado. My wife ordered a New York Strip cooked to perfection with 2 sides priced reasonably well and delicious. In conclusion, avoid the salads and you should get more bang for your bucks. Someone inspecting these dishes before serving overlooked my salad because I doubt anyone would have agreed I was getting my money's worth. read more

Disappointed for sure! Was seated in patio per request for outside, we had our grand nieces with my wife & I. Asked to be seated away from the sun around 530pm, and we were seated directly in the sun, even when request to be moved out of sun, it was as if the young lady could care less and ignored our request, so right from the entry to the restaurant we were treated with no respect! Food, Mac&Cheese for the grandnieces, wife had a burger, and Rueben for myself, the Rueben's are typically good, but this time it was "smothered" with 1000 island dressing, about 2oz too much. Drink orders were simple, apple juice and lemonade for the nieces, my wife had a martini and I ordered a Arnold Palmer, when the drinks were delivered, I received iced tea, close to an AP, about 50% there. RyanD was kind and did correct the error, but we were struggling with the experience already. Service was mediocre, delivery of food was fast, but the overall experience was not even close to what we have come to Burton's for, less then mediocre experience and "no" the restaurant was not busy at all. BTW, booster seats do not sit very well on the patio chairs, be careful. I still tip even bad experiences, everybody has a challenging day, we are human and still need respect back. Suggestion: the people sitting your customers need to get their heads into the game, be aware of customer request and needs and not be in such a hurry to sit someone at their selected table, especially when you are NOT busy. Burtons management visit to tables was non existent. We actually felt as if we did not matter to the staff working, we won't forget this experience. Always been a fan of Burtons Grill. However, this trip to the Boca location was a bit disappointing. Service was 5 star, food was two star. My wife has the General Tso Bowl which was very salty and way over cooked. I had the Short Rib Grilled Cheese which was just short of burnt. Neither were so bad that it warranted the hassle of a return but showed a lack of kitchen management and control. We also had the Crispy Calamari that arrived with fried Jalapeno slice and not cherry peppers ( just noticed this when I checked the menu.) Portion was tiny. Incorrect pepper side again shows lack of kitchen controls. This experience was nor consistent with our experience at other locations. read more

Went to Burtons for a brunch while on vacation, I really enjoyed the entire experience from beginning to end. The host were very nice, accommodated my seating accurately. The ambiance of the place gives very elegant and bright. Food was very flavorful, but the best part was the service from Briana. She was one of the most attentive, sweet, and professional server I've had during my entire stay in Boca Raton. She was very welcoming, and knowledgeable on the menu with any questions we had. Recently, I went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner with a group of friends on Monday night. The restaurant was pretty packed although it was on a Monday, but nonetheless service was pretty quick. We were seated and our orders were taken immediately. I decided to drink The Burtons mai tai. I would definitely recommend anyone that loves tropical cocktails! I did not order an appetizer, but I did order the pasta piccata with shrimp. Let me start off by saying that the shrimp was definitely magnificent! It was seasoned to perfection and had me wanting more. The pasta piccata was definitely zesty and almost reminded me of Alfredo. I'm more of a saucy pasta type of person, so I ordered extra piccata sauce on the side. I definitely can see myself craving this pasta in the future, so it was a great experience! The meals can be a bit pricey for the amount of food that we got, but overall it's pretty affordable for the area of Boca Raton! Staff was nice, friendly, and attentive. Went to Burtons last night. Have been going there for 2 years. Last night we had an issue with drinks that we ordered. The martinis we ordered came back 3 quarters filled. We told the server who referred us to the manager Andy. He came to the table and was very rude and inconsiderate of our issue. Instead of saying I'm so sorry and taking the drinks back to be filled correctly he said he would charge us another $30.00 to bring back new drinks. Totally inappropriate response. You say that you measure the pour but in my case whoever measured the pour did a very pour job as my wife's pour was 75% of what it should have been and she didn't drink a drop before you arrived. You saw her glass. You know Andy I wasn't looking for a free drink. I have plenty of money to buy my own drinks but the way you handled this was totally wrong. My wife and I and other couples have been coming there for years frequently. Instead of being rude the proper way to deal with it was to take my wife's martini and add a little more volume. Not sit there and tell me there will be an additional charge to add a very small amount of liquid. What would it have taken to make it right?? Did you expect me to pay another $15.00 for a bad pour? Sometimes a place speaks to you. And that's what this restaurant did. I liked it as soon as I walked in. It had a good classy vibe. The roaring oven (for focaccia and other dishes) added to the ambiance. It's upscale without being pretentious or fussy. It was a windy day so we decided to sit inside for lunch. There's a small outside patio area that was busy. We sat at the bar. When we first entered the restaurant, it was pretty empty, but more tables around the bar and seats at it were filling by the time we were done and ready to leave. The bartender/server, Miguel, was welcoming. He started off by telling us the soup and fish of the day. And immediately bringing drinks. My husband ordered their classic burger which came perfectly cooked to order with his choice of additions and condiments. It was juicy with a great grilled flavor. Real hand cut fries served on the side. I chose an appetizer order of chicken wings. There were two prep methods and I went with their Memphis dry rub. The other choice was maple sriracha sauce. The meaty wings had 8 in the order and a small dish of blue cheese dressing for dipping was served on the side. The spice had pizzazz without being overwhelming. I loved them! And for an appetizer, it was a big enough portion for me to bring 3 home. We didn't eat a lot of food here this time, but what we had gave us an intro to their extensive menu. We weren't that hungry and decided to share the Cauliflower app and the Ahi Asian Salad ( which the kitchen split for us) The cauliflower is so amazing I could go back just for that. I get a classic burger sub with blue cheese crumbles that melt in your mouth, add bacon and the burger is .com Absolutely delicious with the Malbec from Alta Vista or the Meoimi Pinot Noir. Service is excellent. I've had Anthony, and Collin as servers they are the best each time I have come. They are fast and courteous and the restaurant is always spotless whether on a busy night or during the week. I really enjoy dining here, first learned of them in Burlington Massachusetts and so happy to see Florida is to the same high standard. Must try their truffle fries and sweet potato fries too. This is my second time visit to Burton's and it was just as pleasant as the first. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Of course I started withe the general Tso's cauliflower and it was a yummy as I remembered it to be. My husband particularly enjoyed the ginger aioli. I ordered the black bean tostada and my husband had the haddock I really enjoyed my dish the black bean patties were nicely flavored and not overly heavy which was great. The presentation was lovely and I also liked the slaw. My husband liked his meal as well the fish was fresh and flavorful, the vegetables were well seasoned. I love the deco it's very warm and welcoming but if you have poor sight you may require the use of the flashlight option on your phone to read the menu. My second time at Burton's, first being a Happy Hour before an event and now for lunch. As usual I sit at the bar and this U shaped large bar is extremely comfortable with bar chairs, not bar stools. The Happy Hour crowd is quite lively and has a great vibe with a variety of age groups. The menu has a good representation of Entrees, meat, Salmon and fish specials. Also salads and healthy options. They also have hot sandwiches which include Angus Burgers prepared 2 different ways, Reuben sandwich and Fried Fish tacos. For lunch I had the Maxx Burger. Nice size juicy Angus meat the FF Onions, Cheese, a creamy dressing. Could barely fit it in my mouth. Their burgers are definitely big and meaty. Great steak fries on the side. I prefer the Happy Hour at the bar which is 4-7. Not a GREAT deal but pretty interesting crowd and a great vibe. There are big screen TV's that can be seen from everywhere. The food quality here is definitely of the best in the area and the dining area and bar are spacious. The servers go out of their way to be extremely accommodating and always like to introduce themselves and made me feel at home. I have no experience with dining in the dining area so this is just what I have experienced from the bar area only. Burton's is close to my office in the strip center on the East side of Military Trail just a half a mile North of Yamato Rd. Plenty of dining places in these shops and parking is still not too difficult. I think Burton's is going to be around for awhile as there is nothing like it in this area of Boca. My family and I love this place. My kids ask to come here all the time and we try to get out there often. We started tonight with the spicy chicken dip which comes with very fresh chips. I oftentimes have the wedge salad which is great, but had my staple instead, a perfect cheeseburger. My older son also had a burger, my younger son had mac/cheese and my wife had a salad. The food is Ameican and the restaurant serves primarily salads and burgers. Multiple TVs are located at the indoor and outdoor bar- all which televising sports. Pretty much whereever you sit you can see a TV. We went with our kids. The restaurant had a reasonably priced childrens menu with multiple options for sides. We all got burgers/veggie burgers and found the food pretty tasty. read more
