My friend discovered this restaurant about two weeks ago and has since then eaten here about four times. So naturally, I had to go and see the hype for myself. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Nice outdoor area with a full bar that would be perfect for lunch on a nice day. For dinner, the indoor seating called my name. Low lighting, soft music, and nice comfy booths create the perfect dining experience. My server was super friendly and even gave me her opinion on several of the dishes when she overheard my indecisive chatter. I appreciated her insight and am thankful she steered me in the right direction. The food? Devine. I ate the ENTIRE meal, something I can say I have never done. The steak was absolutely melt in your mouth. The truffle fries are the best I've come across, and that says a lot considering I get them just about everywhere. The portion was also hearty, making the meal absolutely worth the price. I was a little disappointed that happy hour prices were only at the bar, but if you know this prior to coming you could start at the bar prior to grabbing a table. I have visited Burton's three times now. It's a beautiful property, including a open kitchen, outdoor seating & an amazing bar! I have dined with a person who suffers from Celiac's Disease. The staff was very well trained with this matter and confidently assisted during the ordering process. The thing that amazed us was that almost the whole menu was not only delicious and creative, but is was mostly gluten free anyway. We tried as much as we could, including the mac & cheese (wow!), fish sandwich, & a killer flourless chocolate cake. If they didn't tell you they were GF, honestly, you wouldn't know. How does this pace survive? Went Sunday night...never again. Food was mid....just so flavorless and uninspired. My margarita was small, weak and made with a cheap mix. Prices are meh. Service was indifferent at best. Had to ask to order drinks...she never came back and asked if I wanted another. Never asked if we wanted anything else or how the food was or if we wanted dessert. Have been pretty disappointed this season since Executive Chef Bill Ring has moved on and the "local fish specials" have been completely lackluster for South Florida, with an ocean full of options, but Burton's can only find swordfish, mahi and 'crab cakes'. Tonight, after our dry rubbed wings, we enjoyed the "hard-to-find" Mahi and a steak. Wings were over cooked with feathers intact, however, I would say the seasoning was "spot-on". The Mahi was a bit dry, but good bronze seasoning, good portion and good flavor. The steak was well prepared and flavorful. Dessert was fine. Our server/bartender extraordinaire Barry was attentive, accommodating, humorous and ready to accommodate our needs for extras and refills, really making our evening. We appreciated as all the servers worked around our pup who stretched himself wide at our feet. Great place, but we beg you, please expand your fish specials, after all you have an ocean full of options at your fingertips!!!!! read more

The food here over all is good, 8/10. They have menus for the kids as well. I enjoyed my time better the second time i visited and sat at the bar on the outside patio. I enjoyed the service from the bartender a lot more than I did with my server the first time I came. I really like this place. I used to love Burton's in Connecticut when I live there now that I moved to Florida found out they had one in Boca Raton. My brothers and I stopped in here for the first time and it was a great experience. The staff were extremely attentive, warm, and cordial. The Manager introduced himself and made small talk as we were waiting to be seated. He actually took us to our seats 10 minutes later. We ordered appetizers of brussel sprouts, chicken tenders and they were excellent. We all ordered burgers and each one was fresh and cooked to perfection. As someone with Celiac disease who must eat gluten free, it is very difficult to eat out, especially when traveling. I ate here with a large group of co-workers on a work trip and had an excellent experience, which is not the norm! The server asked about allergies when I placed my order, and she knew what Celiac disease was (I didn't have to call it a gluten allergy). She was also able to answer my questions about seasoning and ask the kitchen to avoid black pepper on my meal. If you have an allergy/Celiac, they bring your food out on a square plate (the others are round) so you have some confidence that they got it right. They also confirmed that the fryer is dedicated gluten-free, so I was able to eat fries (which is a rare treat). I had a burger and fries and it was delicious! I hope I will get the chance to return on a future work trip! read more

our experience at burton's was amazing!! everything exceeded every expectation we had going in to the night. we were greeted by the friendly hosts and taken to our table promptly. our server, mike, came over quickly to introduce himself and take our drink order. we started with the signature wings. they were perfectly cooked- slight crisp on the outside but still juicy and flavorful. the maple sriracha sauce was great. for dinner, mike recommended the bolognese and the mediterranean risotto which were both delicious!! both dishes were flavorful, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. our dinner was delivered by Maddy who had a smile on her face the entire time we were there and was very friendly when dropping off our dinner. she made sure we had everything we needed before leaving the table which we really appreciated. for dessert, we had the seven layer chocolate cake - WOW! it was so rich! we will be ordering this every time. the restaurant was decorated nicely, didn't feel overcrowded and the music was the perfect volume. everything was clean and well maintained, and servers seemed to be on top of clearing tables throughout the meal as well. we can't wait to come back to burtons again! read more

One of the better restaurants in the area. I'v been to this restaurant twice and both times have had a very good experience. Nice place for our group of 9. Restaurant is pretty and service is decent. Menu has a variety of options and has something for everyone. Our group ordered everything from a harvest bowl to a southwest salad to strip steaks to salmon. My son raved about his steak. The kids menu is a standout with lots of great choices ( eg steak, chicken fingers) including of a drink and 3 sides ( eg fruits, veggies, fries, etc) for a reasonable $10. I highly recommend trying to sit in the section a waiter named Michael is in. The food is consistent no matter where you sit but he is by far the best waiter in the place. Tonight my family member and I were sitting in a location other than Michael's but when he saw us he came up and said hello and then shook my family member's hand. When our spinach dip was ready he brought it to us even though he didn't have to. He said he realized it was for our table and wanted to. He wouldn't even benefit from whatever tip we left but he wanted to be helpful so he delivered the spinach dip. Lots of waiters can be good but it is the little details. Plus, he is leaps ahead of the water we had tonight. The one we had was pleasant but not personable, lacked charisma, and seemed to have trouble inputting the order because we had to give it to him twice. When it was time for the check he handed us a bill and then left for us to scan the bill and pay with Google Pay. Usually Burton's swipes a card but I would have been fine with using Google Pay to immediately pay if he had given us the right bill. The bill had over 95 dollars worth of food (multiple salads, sandwiches, and drinks that we didn't order). It wasn't even for my table of two people. Since the waiter (not Michael who never makes a mistake) had left we waited for the other guy to come back into the room. When we explained the situation to him he didn't know how to fix it so he had to leave to obtain assistance. Once the problem was fixed and he handed us the correct bill I saw that it was 30 dollars less than the bill the waiter had initially given us. I realize nobody is perfect and the food is always consistent but it is the little things that make the difference so if you are given the option of sitting in Michael's area don't hesitate. read more

The reason for the two-star review was because of the service obtained in the inside bar during Happy Hour. The waitress "PM" charged us the happy hour drinks at regular price with the excuse that she was double making them. The menu clearly says that mix drinks during happy hour are $10.50, not $13.00 (receipt photo below). We never ask for double servings of alcohol. The experience was very uncomfortable, and it seemed like a scam. The management should be clearer and avoid this type of situation and this behavior from their servers. read more

Sent back and in less than 5 minutes they bring back the same plate same steak and temperature but pieces of steak turned over to the sides that were not well done and more medium well only around edges. I sent it all back and ordered the general tso bowl that had so many seeds and quinoa that after a couple of bites it left me bloated and tummy pains.
