The pan was not hot enough. They cooked 1 meat a time. These factors made it so slow for us to get through our meal. We would have awk pauses between grilling each meat. I was missing the sear on meats too. The pan also made it seem so that the fat just seemed to just sit on the pan vs it coming off. The garlic prime rib marinade was not sweet at all, which honestly I was wishing for to have it taste like galbi. I really did not care for it. Other places seem to have more options for meat such as jowl. Side dishes were fine and typical. Service was fine. I felt like I just ate bunch of okay tasting random meat vs a great Korean style kbbq. The texture was lacking. The taste was lacking. Tldr: Good quality meats (except their galbi which is supposed to be the best) and great service, can be busy especially if you have a big party. $40 ($38 plus $2 water/soda) for dinner is a bit steep but they give u cash discount of 5%. Meats/sides: nice variety and great brisket. The portions are big so you can request half a portion order. Unfortunately the galbi wasnt good at all and a big disappointment. The meat was tough and chewy and we had to spit out some parts. Brisket and pork belly were our favorite. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed quite a few parties waiting to be seated. However, to our surprise, after having put our names down, a notification came up on my phone within 10 minutes so we were seated rather quickly. The hostess brought us to a smaller room in the back which had 4 tables. When we sat down, the noticed that the tables were bolted to the floor which gave very little room for the chairs closest to the wall to move. Also, there was a very bright skylight that was shining right down on our table making it a bit blinding and uncomfortable. When we asked about pointing the light another way as for it not to be shining directly in our faces, the manager said that last time they tried to move it, it broke so they were prohibited from touching it. Thirdly the BBQ grill on the table was angled to one side, allowing the heat from the flame to radiate out and made it really hot sitting on that side of the table. When we asked if the AC could be turned up, again we were greeted with a no go. Seating and environment aside, the food was not too bad. They have a QR code for you to scan and look at the digital menu. Included in the buffet were chicken, pork, beef, and numerous sides. The meat quality here was a little better than average AYCE KBBQ places, however the marinated proteins weren't as flavorful. They have Galbi(boneless short rib) here so definitely load up on that to get your money's worth! My recommendation is to go with plain, non-marinated meats like the Butcher 360 Steak, Butcher Boneless Prime Galbi, Pork Belly and Pork Steak. To avoid getting full on lost cost items, don't order too many of the sides and don't fill up on beverages. You're here for the MEATS and that should be your primary focus!!! Lastly, DO NOT ORDER...the Beef Small Intestines. They aren't cleaned well and taste oddly bitter. I had a bit of an upset stomach after I got home. This might have been due to those intestines that we ate STAY AWAY!!! All in all, Butcher 360 is a pretty good deal if you can eat a lot of meats within their 2 hour time limit. A couple of my friends had been to Butcher 360, and I finally had the chance to try it! We went earlier for dinner (~6 pm) and they were able to seat us almost immediately. However, I would recommend waiting until all the members of your party arrive to be seated were there as Butcher 360 maintains a strict time limit of 2 hours per table, which apparently starts when you're seated, not when you order. We were seated upstairs, which I liked as it was warmer and a little quieter to allow for comfortable conversation. At Butcher 360, you're allowed to order about the number of meats as there are people at your table at one time, but you're allowed to always ask for more once you start getting through it. For meats, we tried the thin brisket, beef bulgogi, steak, boneless galbi, spicy chicken, and pork belly. The meat looked and tasted very fresh, was served in good portions, and the spicy chicken and bulgogi were well marinated. A couple downsides were that the galbi was missing the typical kbbq marinade, which was a bummer as that's always my favorite at kbbq. Only the waitress is allowed to cook here, which means that you have to eat all of a meat at once - at other kbbq spots, I like to mix the cuts of meat I'm cooking so the taste is always varied, while it's a little easier for the food to get monotonous here. It also means that as the waitress gets busier, you get a little less attention, which caused us to have some time towards the end where we didn't have any food to eat. Finally, they don't have the same sauces most other places do - I like to use them to switch the food and taste up a bit, but I was able to make do with the vinegar and spicy paste they provided. For the sides, we tried the tteokbokki, dumpling, steamed egg, popcorn chicken, and kimchi. The steamed egg was AMAZING - such a soft and creamy texture that tasted like it was cooked in chicken broth, which added a lot of flavor. The next favorite was the tteokbokki which had a little hit of spice but was very manageable and with a fun texture. The popcorn chicken, kimchi, and dumplings were okay. Overall, butcher 360 was a good experience that was worth trying. For me personally, at the higher price point (~40 per person for dinner) and some of the limitations with eating, I'll probably be looking for another kbbq place to frequent. read more

The times I have been are usually weekends for dinner, where the wait can be upwards of an hour for parties more than 4, however the food and service is well worth the wait. When Butcher360 opened up, I was so glad there's finally a KBBQ place in the Central Jersey area. 10 min away and totally worth the price! The service is quick & efficient and meat is delicious. My group got there at noon (opening) and was seated within 10 min. We ordered meat and sides right away and they were brought out fairly quickly. I would highly recommend the Beef Brisket, Pork Belly, Soy Chicken, and Spicy Pork Belly. (Tip: don't grill the marinated meat until the end so the grill doesn't have to be changed out.) For sides, rice, lettuce, and kimchi are a must and pair well with the meat. I also got the Spicy Beef Soup side, which was a good dish to start off with while waiting for the meat to cook. The waiters were fantastic in bringing us exactly what we ordered as quick as possible. Drinks (including water) are an additional $1.75 for unlimited refills. They have a cool touchless drink dispenser that you can control with your phone and a QR code. But since they only have one dispenser, sometimes a line can start to form pretty quickly. My friend and I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Like most places during these trying times, their menu is virtual. At the table, there's a plaque with a QR code to scan for it. The soda machine is also virtually operated so bring your phone with you. On the top left corner of the screen, there's a QR code to scan and you pick the soda on your phone. Their meat options were diverse. They had a few choices for chicken, pork and beef. We really like seafood but the squid was too sweet for us. We really enjoyed the soy pork rib which was marinated in the same soy marinate as the squid. I think the meat absorbs the marinate better than the squid. The most memorable sides were the fried chicken and the steamed egg. The fried chicken was cold and flavorless. The steamed egg tasted burnt. It absolutely floors me that you can choose anything from the AYCE menu instead of having to accept a pre-set combo of meats/items the way NYC does it. But everything in NYC sucks just a little more and costs just a little more than suburbia. That's why we live in shoeboxes, right? Anyway, we feasted for hours and got pretty much everything on the menu. The standout meats for me were the Basil Chicken and the Pork Belly. The Galbi was meh, and the Bulgogi was too dry--so stick to non-beef if you want to be impressed. The appetizers were surprisingly good too, with the best being the Fried Dumplings (juicy and packed with cabbage), and the boneless Popcorn Chicken. Our group of 8 went to Butcher 360 on a Saturday night and it was still very busy when we arrived. I would recommend joining the queue on Google before you arrive to decrease your waiting time. The dinner is $37.95 per person (excluding alcohol). And it was honestly surprisingly good! Sides: - The steamed egg was pretty decent and popcorn chicken is rather standard - We also ordered some kimchi and lettuce to cut the fat from the meat (tip: you can also grill your kimchi slightly for different flavor!) Meat: The quality of the meat is better than expected (from a AYCE perspective). My personal favorite was the beef thin brisket (tasty with soy bean paste!) and boneless galbi. Butcher 360 was good a few years back but I feel like there has been a decrease in quality lately. Mind you the price did increase about $15 since from when they first opened. I get it- with COVID and inflation, restaurants have to raise their prices. They are adding more side options to the menu which is nice. They give our smaller portions now- likely to control waste for those that just want to test taste. Last time I went recently, the steak had an odd smell..? Perhaps just me. The bulgogi is overly sweet and very strong- wish they would make it less sweet. Seating arrangements are always squished every time I have been, except if you're a table of 4. It's unfortunate when you sit on a bench, as not conducive to being able to get up freely as have to ask others and there's no where to put your bags and coats!!! I wish they had it like some places I've been to where that is a "covering" for your belonging so they don't smell like bbq when you leave. One time K asked for gochujang and they told me it was extra charge.... It would be great if they had a complimentary dessert option as well. I come here very frequently, it's a great spot located practically in my backyard. Their lunch special can't be beat at $18.99 per person. Dinner is $32.99 but obviously includes way more choices such as butcher steak, galbi, steamed egg and soondubu The only downside here is that you're forced to pay for a beverage whether you just want water or not. Yes, they charge for just water. The unlimited fountain beverage is great for $1.75 but often the selections can be limited due to them running out of soda mix at the machine. Also, the wait can be very long for a table if you go peak hours, my tip is to join the waitlist ahead of time if you know you're going on a weekend. All you can eat kbbq is always fun especially when it's BYOB. Honestly it's not the best AYCE kbbq but it's refreshing to see one opened up in the central Jersey area. I get that the grills aren't provided outdoor so they cooked all the meat and served on plates. There was a limit of five plates even for a large party of 10+. I wanted to be fair and give this place a chance by dining in in a regular way which I did and my verdict is below: The goods - BYOB. the restaurant has a very nice decor with high ceiling so the space is comfortable. Each table is equipped with nice grills and proper vents. They are generous with the meat portions in each order so we don't have to keep ordering. My favorite cuts were the beef galbi with garlic, soy squid, and spicy pork belly. The bads - understaffed, slow to serve and cut the meat. There's only one drinking machine. If they expect everyone to pay $1.75 for water or other drinks at least they can get one more vending machine to avoid having to wait in line. Overall the non marinated meats were on the dry side. Perhaps the cuts are too thick at times. We ordered beef intestines towards the end of the meal and we were surprised on how bitter and unappetizing they were. They weren't marinated we get that they don't specialize in intestines but I think it can go a long way if they prepare them better. Won't get that again. read more
