    Salted caramel coffee

Càphin is one of my favorite coffee shops in Minneapolis. It offers specialty drinks using Vietnamese-grown beans and matcha. In addition, they have stuff from their bakery and weekly pop ups within the local community. Their staff are friendly and the interior is well lit and comforting. Though it is small with less than 10 tables, they utilize their space well and I've often been able to find seating.

Cute cafe within a small strip mall, making parking easy. I always love a Vietnamese coffee spot and Caphin had exactly what I wanted. The egg coffee was delicious. It definitely needs to be mixed very well but it's the perfect blend of coffee and the egg cream sweetness.

Always a busy spot during the weekends - because the coffee is so good! Egg coffee can come hot or cold - I've always ordered the hot, and I recommend it that way! The egg foam is creamy, sweet, and thick. The coffee balances everything out, also very tasty on its own. Banana Matcha is a seasonal drink. A sweet drink that only comes in large, but you'll want a large anyways!

Stopped in mid Saturday morning after a yoga class next door. It was busy but the line to order moved fast. They specialize in Vietnamese offerings like egg coffee and Mochi bagels but also had a great matcha menu and I opted for a cold brew that was soooo good with cherry cold foam! The drinks are not only delicious but they're beautiful too! The space is bright and vibrant but on the smaller side. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

I was excited to try this place out since I always love coffee shops that incorporate Asian flavors. We came on a Friday morning and we thankfully managed to grab a table because it got pretty busy. My partner wanted to get some work done on his laptop and it seems like only the two tables right when you walk in are in course proximity to the outlets. There's free wifi and two bathrooms it's definitely a good place to hang out for a while or just catch up with a friend. I got the Ube Dream, which I really enjoyed. It had the right balance of ube flavoring. I would definitely try out more of their menu next time I'm in town!

Great coffee! I have tried their matcha from the truck so I have been wanting to come to their cafe for their coffee! Salted caramel is a 10/10 if you don't like the bitterness of regular viet coffee. Pastries are okay; mine was a bit cold and not a lot of options in general. They have two gender neutral bathrooms but not a lot of seatings. Vibes are kinda cute and charming but I wouldn't dine in on a really cold day because a lot of the seating is right in front of the day .

Yesterday I met a friend for coffee and it was awesome to see how busy this place was! We were lucky to get a table and then ordered our drinks. I got a banana latte and it was sooooo amazing! It was a nice treat for a cold weekend. My friend and I spent a few hours there and it wasn't too loud and a nice vibe! Also loved that they are dog friendly so my pup got to come hang out! Can't wait to come back!

We arrived on a weekend and it was busy which was awesome! I ordered the tiramisu latte with almond milk and it was delicious, it even came with a little treat on top! I love going to places with seasonal drinks.

Gorgeously decorated coffee shop. Lots of delicious drinks and snacks. Love it here! Service is quick and friendly. It's a small shop, but I was able to snag the last open seat today while I sipped on my espresso drink.

One of my favorite coffee shops in MPLS. The pandan latte is out of this world. The service is always quick and so friendly. The decor is so cute with ample seating and a fun photo op wall. The dog pics are my fave :). Really appreciate everything they've done during the struggles in Minneapolis as an immigrant coffee shop. Keep up the good work and I hope everyone continues to support this great spot - they deserve it!

I'm a little late to the Càphin hype but finally made it here on a recent Wednesday morning. The shop is located in kind of a random spot in my opinion, a little strip mall on France Ave. Inside the space is small and super bright in a nice way. There are a small amount of tables and chairs that look nice for anyone working out of the shop. There is also a small couch and a couple more comfortable chairs. There was plenty of room when I was there but I bet it fills fast on a busy morning. Now the important part the coffee. I'm not the best judge of Vietnamese coffee as I'm more of a light coffee guy and a purist who normally opts for plain black coffee. Here I got the 'egg coffee' which was dark coffee topped with a creamy custardy mixture of egg, sweet and condensed milk and spices. The topping was great! The coffee itself was lacking in my opinion, but I'm out of touch with dark roast coffee these days. I also grabbed the Pandan Latte which was a flavor I've never tried before. Green like matcha but much better tasting in my opinion. If you like flavored lattes I'd get this. I want to come back and try the Vietnamese version of a pour over next time !

Went to caphin in linden hills. I wish there was more seating because it's such a cute place. Service is great and staff is so friendly. Parking is easy as there's a lot available!

Visiting from the Bay Area and was so excited to find Vietnamese coffee spot. The ambiance was so beautiful inside. So pleasing and looks like a great place to study and/or hangout at. The drinks are pretty yummy. I tried their seasonal banana latte and their classic. The classic is a regular Vietnamese coffee, not sweet and very much like a regular Vietnamese coffee. Their banana latte was yummy though! It had a banana coconut foam on top and I do not like coconut but you couldn't taste it. I think I could have gotten a little stronger with the coffee flavor as I am more coffee forward and I love me a good, strong coffee. Service was kind and friendly, answered all our questions. Ordered a pork bao which are made to order so it look about 15 mins to wait for. Pork bun was ok not really worth the wait the chili oil that comes with it really helps it.

We used to go when they were across the street in the small space. To me this is the OG Vietnamese place to recommend when people ask where to get great Vietnamese food. Food is always good and service is great. It has been a long time since I've been here and I'm glad to see they still have a lot of options available, even weekend specials. I had to taste the banh cuon since that is a weekend specials and not easily found in restaurants. It did not disappoint. The nuoc mam was perfect. Filling was good but I wish there were more fresh herbs for garnish. Bun Bo hue was filled with meat and protein!! I can't believe how much was in there. I normally don't like a ton of meat but this was so tender I ate it all. Pho was good. Broth had a strong star anise flavor but I like that. The mi hoanh ton soup was good but not the best. The wontons were huge! I appreciate the amount of protein in it. Cream cheese wontons flavor was good, wish there was more than 4 pieces per order though. Nem nuong serving size was pretty small. Wish we would've ordered the nem nuong spring rolls instead. Bubble tea tasted like strawberry milk, very sweet. Not my favorite but my daughter gave it 10/10. Salmon rice was good, we were able to add eggs for $4. The chili oil is very hot so be careful how much you add. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Gratuity added for parties of 5 or more. Easy to grab to go at the front if you are in a rush. We grabbed more to go after we ate too. The tri color dessert was ok, not my favorite but I liked the sweetness of the coconut milk in there. We grabbed a banh mi that was ready to go and that was good! Bread was crispy, but maybe too much bread ratio to filling. Banh bao was massive too, expensive for $8.

My Huong is an 8-top hole in the wall across the parking lot from the rear of El Nuevo Mariachi Restaurant. The place is homely, small, but brightly lit and plenty of day light through the picture windows overlooking Eat Street. It's a big contrast to Pho 79 type places that are dim and short on ambience. The clientele shows. Instead of just a bunch of Asians throwing down Pho, it's a mix like you'd see at Quang or Eat Street Crossing. I was seated right away, was greeted by a cheery Vietnamese lady, and ordered Hu Tieu Bo Khu (Beef Stew Noodle Soup.) It was a dish I haven't seen before even though I have been to so many Vietnamese places (see my other reviews and lists.) The dish came very quickly, and I was shocked that they didn't bring it with a veggie plate. Oh well. Well the best way I could describe Hu Tieu Bo Khu, its basically a pot roast over noodles. So the beefy broth like a less spicey version of Bun Bo Hue, with flavors of lemongrass and star anise, nicely garnished already with what would have been on a veggie plate. The broth was delicious, slightly sweet with the carrots, and the beef was fall apart amazingly stewed with deep flavor.
