Mains came out within about 35-40 min after the night died down a bit. Isla Marg was very strong and Endless summer was more of a fruity drink. The seafood pappardelle pasta was pretty good and the lobster Mac n cheese was tasty until my tongue got tired of the taste of it. The onion soup was a hit and the cheese pulls and taste was immaculate, the calamari was the same as any others I've had from other places but I do wish there was a thicker sauce paired with it instead. The restaurant sits next to the harbor with a great view of sunsets in San Diego. Even though we didn't get to sit next to the window, we were still able to get a view of the sunset through the big windows throughout the restaurant. We visited C-level back in October. I believe they have valet but you can also park your own vehicle. It can be a little tight but it's better than paying for valet I guess. My boyfriend booked this restaurant for a dinner date night so he booked the Full romance package which was an additional $90 for some rose petals on the table and a bottle of champagne. I do wish they arranged this a little better, there were alot of petals that was already dead since the edges were already black. Our seats were perfect though, we were seated right by the water and the view was perfect. Our server was Mindi and she took care of us well. The table was a little sticky, like it wasnt cleaned properly. I don't know if it was just the smell of being by the water but the restaurant had that old smell to it. For appetizer, we ordered the calamari and oysters. Oysters were fresh and tasted really good. The calamari was too chewy for our liking. The breading was falling off and tasted like it was frozen. We weren't a fan of that at all. For our entree, I ordered the lobster BLT and my boyfriend ordered the New York steak with asparagus and shrimp. Both our meals was really good. The lobster BLT was a lot cause it also came with soup which tasted really well. The steak was super good and the enhancements were perfect. For dessert, we ordered a mango sorbet and creme brulee. Beautiful evening weather and view last night. Our server Mindy leveled it up to a five star review. We had reservations but I was late (Christmas tree fell onto the freeway!) but she was patient. She made recommendations and took everyone's order first to give me time. We came here for dinner while on Harbor Island in San Diego, and while the location is beautiful and the service was excellent, the food unfortunately didn't match the experience or price point. I ordered the Parmesan Chicken Piccata, and it was underwhelming. The chicken filet was very small--about half the size of my palm--and not what you'd expect for the cost. The broccolini was overcooked, with some pieces burnt on the ends, so I could only eat a few bites. The mashed potatoes tasted like they had been sitting under a warmer for a while--not fresh. My husband ordered the New York Strip, and our friend ordered the center-cut filet mignon (butterflied). The red wine glaze on the strip was good, but both steaks lacked seasoning overall, which was disappointing--especially for dishes that should really stand out. He did enjoy the mashed potatoes more than I did, though. The drinks were good--we had a Chardonnay, a Strawberry Fizz, and a Mai Tai, and those were all well-made. The standout of the night was our server SAUN. She was amazing--attentive, professional, and checked on us at just the right times without being overbearing. What really stood out was how she made recommendations--she didn't just tell us what she liked. Instead, she asked thoughtful questions (like whether we prefer tart or sweet) and tailored her suggestions based on that. That level of service is rare and really appreciated. One thing that caught us off guard was that when we tried to place a to-go order, we were told the kitchen was already closed around 9:30 PM. For a restaurant in this area, that felt unusually early and a bit inconvenient. I also haven't been here in a couple of years (last time was for my husband's birthday), and I noticed the menu is pretty much exactly the same. Amazing dining experience right on the water. One of the best chicken dishes I've ever tasted. The chicken piccata was perfect. Extremely hot and juicy, somehow done without burning the Parmesan crust. I loved the fact that everything that was plated was packed full of flavor down to the garnishes. The slaw next to the coconut shrimp was exceptional and could easily be eaten on its own. Lobster bisque had one of the best croutons I've ever had as well, soft and crunchy at the same time so it could hold up to the bisque. The crust on the Brie was great to eat with the crostini as it added some great texture. Service was great as well, attentive without being too intrusive. Our server made recommendations and ensured we always had everything we needed. We ordered all four courses up front and were able to enjoy a very efficient dinner service. The ambiance is second to none. We sat on the patio right against the glass and had an unobstructed view of the downtown skyline and the Coronado bridge. Super cute spot with great food. Came here for happy hour with a few friends in the middle of the week. Wasn't too busy around 3:00 and we were able to snag a table along the edge of the water. Everything came out quick, plated nicely, and we liked all of it. I'd say definitely the steamed muscles and the coconut shrimp. The sauce for the muscles was so tasty we kept it to dip our bread in. The potstickers were ok but not better than anything you couldn't get at a million other restaurants. Calamari was also standard issue. What really wowed us was the tuna melt. I can easily say this is one of the best tuna melts I've had in a long time. They pack this things with tuna! The jalapeno sourdough is chef's kiss and really adds to the flavor. Now this is what you call a proper happy hour! We went during their HH on a Friday afternoon and not only were we seated inside with an amazing view, they were super attentive and made sure we were able to order from all menus. Their HH menu features bites and drinks and I enjoyed how the food ranged from shared plates to individual tastings. If you're staying at the Hilton on Harbor Island they also offer free transportation to here which was amazing. There were only 2 of us, so they were able to seat us at a "partial view" table which was absolutely fine. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a couple years and now that I'm back in SD I was able to. Upon arrival when we checking in for our reservation there were 4 hosts and they were all standing there awkwardly and staring at us. They didn't greet us till a few moments passed with neither party saying anything. Our server was great, attentive, and friendly. We got two cocktails and they were both really good. Then for our meals I order the lobster & fontina blt which I thought was good but they filled the sandwich less practical and for more presentation since the filling was pushed to the front and it kept spilling making it hard to eat so I ate it with a knife and fork. My husband ordered the seafood pappardelle pasta and it was delicious. The seafood tasted fresh but the bread was a little stale. The ambiance was good, it's always amazing to be near the water and the view outdoors at night was breathtaking. But I don't know if it was just because they were closing and wanted to hurry but they kept slamming and clinking the dishes together when putting them away at the bar area behind us. We had friends in town for our wedding and decided to meet here for happy hour before going back home and I am glad we discovered it. There were plenty of options of appetizers to enjoy with the table as well as cocktails. They also had a few beers and wines on happy hour so it was nice to have a variety of things to pick from. My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at C Level as part of our 45th wedding anniversary celebration. I almost never write reviews but after our experience, I felt compelled to do so. All in all, it was simply wonderful. The hostess was very professional and welcoming and set the tone for our celebration. We were seated by a window to enjoy a beautiful, relaxing view of the bay which enhanced our experience. We were greeted promptly by Kyle who was our kind, knowledgeable, and patient server. He went over the complete menu and wine list with us and made suggestions when asked. We had the blackened chicken sandwich and the c level wagyu burger and both were terrific. Met some friends here for lunch on Sunday - how did I pick it, you may ask? The other places I looked at specifically for view and seafood were all offering brunch at that time of day, sadly most brunch menus include a whole lotta egg in their offerings (something I cannot eat). The menu has a good variety of items. One of the first things I noticed was that they offered a lemon-caper aioli as a vegan item (which is super exciting, because for some reason Amercian restaurants insist on using mayonnaise in their aioli). There were a few tiems on the menu that I was eyeing and the waiter said they had egg (lobster mac n'cheese, lobster fontina BLT) I settled on the blackened fish tacos - sans slaw if it's mayo-based. One of my dining mates also ordered it (regular version), I was saddened to see that she got the aioli and I did not (I guess it did have egg?). It was pretty good but really needed something on it, probably that aioli. The two other people we were eating with both ordered the lobster & fontina BLT, which looked SPECTACULAR. It appeared they enjoyed it. The view is fabulous, you can see NAS North Island (on Coronado) and downtown SD, too. Their cocktail menu looked pretty good, we just had beers so I can't speak to it. Bathrooms are clean Outdoor seating is really nice. It's covered and they've got see-thru blinds to help you from getting blinded by the sun off the ocean. I'd have given this only 3 stars based solely on my meal, but my seatmates were very happy with theirs and you just cannot beat this view. (AND we took the bus to the airport and walked over, I love the public transportation here) We'll definitely visit again, I'd like to find out more about their vegan aioli and there were a couple of other things I was eyeing.
