During the pandemic, their to go orders were so nicely packed that they even included instructions on how to assemble the pho. Now that the dining room is open, the current servers are really attentive and sweet (just went there for lunch today). I've tried the Banh Mi which I also love (as well as the pho I mean). We ordered two types of pho, and loved them both They give more noodles, than a single person can consume, and the quality of meat is very delicious To top it off, the herbs they provide are so fresh and authentic. I tried this place randomly after I was craving Pho in one of my post baby hangry sessions. The broth was exactly like homemade. The first go round I had the brisket, the second time I did the rare steak and tendon, and the third time I did a combination of meats. It was hardy and filling. I always get extra noodles so my kids can eat off my bowl but for a full grown adult you would really be satisfied with a regular. The last time I was there and even as they were understaffed it didn't feel like it. My water cup was filled and I was checked on so I was happy. Shrimp summer rolls have lettuce, rice vermicelli, and butterflied shrimp. 4 summer rolls (cut in half for 8 pieces) were about ~$10. Not worth it especially since it was mostly lettuce. Soup broth was overly sweet I felt and not as beefy as I would've liked. I brought some of the broth home and refrigerated it. The soup didn't congeal like how good bone broth should. Is it really bone broth? Maybe diluted? Noodles were hot and chewy. Overall, pho was only ok but the broth was lacking. Beansprouts, basil, sauces, are given in plastic pouches for each order. I love this place with all my pho craving heart. I discovered this spot over 6 years ago with my family members and I continue to visit when I want some goooooood pho. The broth is delicious and they always give you good portions of quality meat. This is the number one spot I would recommend to anyone if they ask me where the best pho is in the area. It's a family owned restaurant. Sadly, I don't see the family members around as often after the pandemic started but understandably so. Ever since the pandemic, I haven't had pho in stores and I recently visited a couple days ago after getting vaccinated and it hit the spot. I plan on going again soon. During the pandemic, we would occasionally to-go pho, but it really never tastes as good as it does in person. Eating in person is still stressful, but it feels safer eating in the booths, since you have your own little space. They also have signs that requests customers to keep masks on unless you're eating. Altogether, I trust the precautions they take are being mindful and protecting everyone, which makes me like them more. My go-to order is the rare steak and brisket pho. The pork sausage roll is really yummy. Occasionally, I would get the vermicelli, which is also delicious. I'm sad that prices spiked since COVID, but almost all restaurants had to result to that since business is slower than before. Hopefully they can lower the prices once things get back to normal. This for me is that late night spot especially when everything else is closed. I haven't been during the day. But I love the fact that they stay open really late. Given the time of the day I can excuse that the service is slow. The 3 times I've been there it took forever to have our order taken. When we did finally order they brought the food out fairly quick. In the area of Torrance/Gardena, I've found that Pho Ever Restaurant is more than decent when it comes to traditional Vietnamese food. Whether it is the traditional Pho that you crave, a vermicelli dish with assorted vegetables, or some other rice dishes, Pho Ever can definitely hit that craving for Vietnamese food. However, the only thing I wish they can change is minimize the amount of oiliness in the Pho soup and also add broken rice in their rice dishes (instead of just regular rice). Food: I got the large Rare and Well Done Brisket, pretty much a basic pho item for most places. Because it's all take out for now, they provide you with instructions for reheating once you get it home. There was enough hoisin and chili sauce provided with your food for the next 2 meals for me. The hoisin I couldn't figure out what that was for. The chili sauce is obvious. I added neither one to my pho pot and it was still delicious and tasty without being too salty. If I had to take away points, it would be too much noodles or I needed a wider and deeper bowl. Otherwise, I was very happy with what I got. I also got the vegetarian fried egg rolls. Fried to a crisp and provided in a styrofoam container with a hole cut out. Very crispy and crunchy even after a 10 minute ride home. Delicious!! Can't hate on fried foods Summary: This place has been around for years and locals know what they're talking about considering the many awards on the wall. Family run with take out and delivery only, they still manage to make one of the best tasting pho dishes I've had. Definitely follow the reheating directions when you open the pack because the meat in your pho dish is raw and needs cooking hence the boiling hot soup. Shove the meat underneath the noodles and THEN pour the soup on top. Or take out the meat from the provided bowl and drop it into the boiing soup for a few seconds. I opted out of the provided oil and hot chili sauce. I want to taste the dish, not bury it in condiments. The only thing I put in was the bean sprouts and few spritz of provided lime. Perfect!! I would definitely come back as they also serve banh mi's so that's next on the list. Take-out only for now. Ubereats and Postmates are for delivery. Service was personable and friendly and there's plenty of wall-reading material to read while you wait for your food. All in all, very good experience and close to home. Surprisingly liked the banh mi, the pho, not as much. For the banh mi, the lemongrass chicken is sweet and pretty tender. I love cold cut combos, and this one had generous slice of pork loaf and head cheese. I found the pho to have a thin broth that was more sweet than it was beefy and was mostly just noodles. The rare steak looked good, and I'm told it was. We also ordered the Bun with five toppings but they crammed it all into a styrofoam container which exploded so every item spilled into the bottom of the bag somewhere in transit, thanks a lot Ubereats. In the midst of a pandemic, there's no way I'm eating anything that's been sitting in the bottom of a plastic bag. So for $16, we got vermicelli and bean sprouts. Everything was very clean. When a restaurant is clean and tidy, to me it reflects that the kitchen and preparation of my food will be taken care of in the same manner. Service was great. My server checked on me multiple times and was very personable. Constantly checking on me that everything was ok or just to refill my drink. Guaranteed that if I'm ever in the area again craving pho, I will most definitely be back. Found out too that they opened just recently a new location on the Westside.
