    Salmon Sunrise Bagel

I love discovering new cafés and bakeries, and today I discovered Café 33. From the outside, it looks like your ordinary café, but once you walk inside, it's surprisingly spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with art and games. Our server welcomed us with a warm smile, which made the experience even better. They have plenty of options for food, drinks, and desserts. One thing I absolutely loved was that they had samples of all their cakes. I got the red velvet cake with a chai latte, and he got the Salmon Sunrise bagel, and a cold brew coffee. Everything was perfection. The vibe was super cozy and comfortable. The only downside was the parking structure since there aren't many parking spots available. Overall, this is a very nice café, and I'll definitely be coming back.

I stopped by Cafe 33 on a Sunday morning with some friends after seeing reviews on Yelp. I had the Pepperoni Pizza Pastry and friends had croissant sandwiches. It wasn't super busy, but had a few other customers. The Pizza pastry was flaky and delicious. It came with a side of a spicy thousand island sauce. I wish it was a bit larger for the $10 price, but it had good flavor. My friends were pleased with their croissant sandwiches and we decided to return soon to try additional items. I saw that there is a chess set and games available to play, so that may be another thing that will draw us back. The Cafe serves Peet's coffee and tea as well. This place is definitely worth trying.

    What in the actual French?!

Half a kids meal worth of chicken tenders and flavorless waffles for $15. No flavor all around, how are the pictures on yelp so deceiving?! Save your money and skip.

I had an amazing time at Cafe 33. The interior is gorgeous, the food and pastries we got were very unique and tasted good. The staff were also very friendly and helpful because there are so many items to choose from! My favorites were the biscoff cheesecake and the California croissant. I want to come back soon just to enjoy the ambiance & cool games I saw. Highly recommend!

Found this place on yelp while in the area for a a trip to the flea market. Being from out of town we were excited to try a new place. Our first impression was the coziness of the cafe. You can feel the holiday spirit. Board games for the families is a great way to bond and put down your screens. We saw a couple playing battleship (it was their first time eating there too). Another family was playing cards and we were about to start a game of chess but they called my name for our food!! Food was a 3.5/5 Ambiance was 5/5 Service was a 4/5

Had the chance to try this place out and I am so happy I did. I ordered the chorizo croissant and it was delightful! Picked jalapeno added a wonderful texture to the great flavor. Very filling. Over an hour later I was commenting how full I still felt. The place is very cute and inviting. Not at all what I expected when walking up. Staff was super nice. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a hurry. It's a nice place to go to slow down for a few and enjoy good food and coffee

This review is solely based off of a Door Dash order: My husband and I ordered the Salmon Sunrise Bagel, Sausage Sunrise Croissant with Tater Tots, a slice of Carrot Cake and 2 iced coffees - a Black Tie and a Havana Cappuccino. I opened up the container for the Salmon Sunrise Bagel and was extremely underwhelmed - it was a un-toasted plain Bagel with nothing on it but Salmon, cream cheese and capers. The description and picture on Door Dash looked NOTHING like what I received - it was supposed to be a toasted Everything Bagel with salmon, cream cheese, capers, tomatoes and onions. It was terrible and not worth the $9! My husband only took about 3 bites of his Sausage Sunrise Croissant before he tossed it and the Tater Tots were nothing special either. They also got one of the coffees wrong - we ordered a Black Tie coffee and we ended up receiving an iced Vanilla Latte. The Havana Cappuccino was decent and the Carrot Cake looked okay (we had yet to try it before this review). I can't comment on their service or ambiance since again, it was a Door Dash order, but I have no desire to visit their actual location based off the lack of effort they put into my order - just shows they don't care at all. Nowhere near worth the $50 I spent for a wasted meal - thanks for nothing!

Cafe 33 ambiance. Clean and comfortable

Clean, well lit and comfortable with a family friendly atmosphere. The garden bagel was delicious with an egg on top. Delicious balance of fresh vegetables (tomato, onion, cucumber) that topped the cream cheese. The sweet Persian pastry reminded me of ones that my Bosnian grandmother made--light sugar syrup soaked filo pastry with a crunch of pistachios sprinkled on top. The pastry (while delicious) was a bit dry, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it with my espresso. A lovely spot for a quick brunch with efficient and fast service.

Place is cozy, food was decent. I had the tri tip chimichurri sandwich and strawberry matcha latte. Service could use improvement.

I was there on a Sunday morning around 10ish. This place was half filled, somewhat quiet and cozy. They serve Peet's coffee drinks so I'll skip on reviewing the drinks. I got the California croissant and chicken w/ waffle. I'm big on croissant sandwich but I have to skip on this one next time. It was good but the waffle and chicken were BETTER! The Cali croissant was filled with avocado cheese, eggs and very few slices of bacon. It'll be better if the croissant is slightly more crispier. The waffle was amazing! Along with the chicken which was tender and juicy. It wasn't overcooked or too dry at all. It comes with a good amount of syrup! Yum!

Came for some breakfast at this beautiful café as soon as you walk in it is super bright and inviting staff is super helpful and kind. They have a beautiful seating areas for you to choose from and the natural light really beats in so it's a perfect spot to get some work done study or really just enjoy the day. You can get some food, coffee, teas or even pastries which they do have cake slices and they are delicious

I love a tasty breakkie sando, and I especially love one that's on a buttery croissant. Just like magic, I discovered Cafe 33 in the Arden Area of Sacramento. It's an unassuming restaurant in a strip mall, that you'd easily drive past. Don't. You'll be missing out if you do. The interior is comfortably decorated, and I like that it's not a cookie cutter seating. Each table is different. The menu features a variety of delicious sounding items, and the croissant Sando's all sound really good! I ordered the loaded turkey. OMG! It was everything I wanted and then some. Freshly sliced turkey, crisp bacon, light fluffy scrambled eggs, tomato, avocado, and a house made aioli. I would have preferred regular mayo. I did need to add salt and pepper. It's a pretty generous serving, albeit a tad pricey, it's very filling. Cafe 33 also offers desserts. The case has a variety of yummy choices, and we of course had to try one. The cake slice was $5.00, WORTH IT! It's a really reasonable price, and a must try. We ordered the carrot cake. I like that it was nut free! Well, it was a pretty tasty offering, there's something about a more traditional carrot cake that has the raisins and pineapple in it that I really enjoy, and this missed that mark. Ordering is done at the counter, and you pick up your food from the counter, so they don't offer table service, and customer service is not fabulous. It is a great place to go on a date, with family or friends, and yes, even kids! If you have not tried this hidden treasure, you absolutely should if you love a good croissant, brekkie Sando!

Visited yesterday with high hopes after seeing all the glowing reviews, the place looked stunning! Unfortunately, things took a turn as soon as we stepped in. We were immediately hit with a strong "wet dog" smell. As dog owners ourselves, we love dogs and know what they smell like--especially on hot days--and we couldn't help but wonder why it was so noticeable indoors. That initial impression was disappointing. We noticed the kitchen door in the back was wide open, leading to an outdoor area. A very cute puppy was freely running in and out of the kitchen, where food is being prepared. Our first thought was: is this sanitary? We figured maybe the door would be closed soon. We totally understand how brutal Sacramento summers can be, and the need to manage heat and energy. But between the strong odor coming from outside and the dog running back and forth into the kitchen, it just wasn't an ideal situation. Keeping the door shut might have helped with both the smell and the heat. I ended up stepping outside while my partner ordered food to-go. We truly love supporting our local spots and want to see them succeed--but we also believe in leaving honest reviews. Maybe this was just an off day, but unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to the hype.

    Great coffee from Peet's!

However, this visit was disappointing because of my interaction with one of the employees. While I was looking at the menu, he came over to help, and I asked a few questions about the salads because I wasn't sure what each one included. Instead of feeling helped, I felt rushed and talked down to. His tone came across as impatient and dismissive, and it made me feel uncomfortable asking simple questions. Everyone is unfamiliar with a menu at some point, and I left that interaction feeling like my questions were an inconvenience rather than something he was happy to help with. The food, on the other hand, was great. The ciabatta sandwich is one of my favorites and is always a reason I come back. The matcha is usually amazing as well. I love how creamy and smooth it normally is with oat milk, and it's honestly one of the best matchas I've had. This time, though, it tasted much grassier and more bitter than usual, which was a little disappointing. For dessert, I tried the strawberry mousse dessert with a chocolate shell and strawberry filling. The mousse and strawberry filling were delicious, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The only part I didn't enjoy was the outer chocolate shell, which was a little too bitter for my taste and overpowered some of the other flavors. Overall, the food was still very good, but the service left a negative impression. I enjoy Estelle's and will likely return, but I hope future visits involve friendlier and more welcoming customer service.

In the end, the real standout was the Blueberry Choux. The cream was light and fluffy and it had just the right amount of blueberry flavor. I really liked the texture of the pastry too and how it complimented the fluffy cream. I would definitely order that one again and highly recommend it. The pastries are definitely on the pricey side, but the quality and presentation justify the cost. The interior of the shop was nice and definitely reminded me of patisseries in France. There was plenty of seating available inside but I took my order to go. I'm really glad I finally got to give them a try and while not every item was a home run for me, the Blueberry Choux alone made the visit worthwhile. It's a small shop and there's usually a line, but they move pretty quickly and it's nice to have time to decide what you're going to order. On my last visit we picked up a couple brownies, a cookie, and one of their savory corn muffins with bacon and jalapeno. All the items are prices well, and are very fresh. I loved the brownies, especially the one with nuts. They're the perfect fudgy texture and while they're a good size, it's hard to stop eating them once you start. I recommend stopping in early for the most variety, they're the type of spot that once they run out of something it's gone for the day, and everything I've tried so far has been delicious.

My boyfriend and I finally had the time to come on a Monday (after the gym lol). We ordered a couple of items to try and I'll tell you I was full after a couple of bites and it carried me for the rest of day. We ordered jalapeño cheddar and classic sausage patty, egg, & cheese biscuit sandwich and biscuit 2 pack: blueberry and brown sugar biscuit. While picking up my boyfriend was recommended the cinnamon roll and he caved and got it! We had our pickup time at 7:30, but we showed up a little early and got our food around 7:20. There was a bit of a wait since there were some people ahead of us, so I'd recommend you going a bit earlier than your time just in case you're in a rush. We headed home to try everything. We really enjoyed the biscuits themselves as they didn't leave a dry or grainy feeling in your mouth. They had a good crust while being airy and light inside. The sandwiches were good, but they were anything crazy. Size wise it is small for the price you get, but I get it. It's all house made and fresh. We definitely think the biscuits themselves are the standout. The blueberry and brown sugar biscuits were a sweet tooth's heaven. The cinnamon roll wasn't too sweet either and had great texture and basically melted in your mouth. I never knew about midtown bakery before midtown biscuits so I would definitely come back to check out their other items, while getting those biscuits!

Finally got a chance to try Faria Bakery and sample a couple of their pastries, and I'm a fan and…read moreso are my kids. I initially parked closer to their kitchen, not realizing there was a main building but they're right across from each other. They have a few self-ordering kiosks, which I guess they prefer customers to use. It kind of seemed like the staff member didn't want to take my order, even though it wasn't busy at all. Their bakery items and brunch menu are on the higher end price-wise, but I think that also aligns with the market and location, so it makes sense. Since it was my first time there, I only ordered a couple of items to try. FOOD REVIEW Morning Bun - 5/5: My kids loved this. It reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, but in pastry form. This was so good. Almond Croissant - 5/5: The croissant itself was airy, super flaky, and really good. My kids also enjoyed this one. The pastries were packaged nicely as well. Overall, the pastries were good, so the price felt worth it to me.

Faria's traditional croissant in 2025 was top notch and comparable to croissants in Paris, it was THAT good. Better than even Bay Area croissants. It was fluffy, buttery and flakey. With the right amount of butter ratio. But something changed this year. Now it's flat, quite dry, w/ lowered butter ratio, and higher sugar content. Like Faria decided to cut corners? Sorry, if this is wrong. But it's now a MID croissant, when it was damn near perfect. I tried it a few times this year, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. But obvious recipe change. What happened, FARIA?!?!?!?! When feedback was given under comments on their IG, they also blocked me. Weird. Why the defensiveness? Again this review is left w all due respect to what was a perfect croissant. No need to change a great product.

You will also get offers from time to time. The app is easy to use. I ordered the strawberry soft cream cake and a slice of blueberry chiffon cake. Both cakes were very good. They were both fresh, light, and Yummy. The cake came with a cake slicer and in the slicer were some matches. I thought that was very thoughtful and useful. They included some candles, too. Most of the time, I forget those things. It was a nice surprise, they included those things. Wonderful service! It's the thoughtful little things that make a business standout than all the rest. I've tried a variety of their pastries and desserts. They all pretty good. I really like their strawberry cream croissant. I think that one is my favorite. Every time I visit the store, it's clean and the staff are very nice.

Even though they were still open for several more hours, it looked like only about 25% of their usual offerings were available. The item we were most hoping for, garlic croissant, was sold out along with the custard and red bean breads. Part of that is on us for stopping by later in the day and not calling ahead, but I did expect a bit more restocking with so much time left before closing. That said, what we ended up choosing from the remaining selection was still quite tasty. I just wish there had been more variety available.
