It was quiet busy on Sat morning during brunch hour. Overall, the food was decent. They have bottomless coffee and that was decent as well.

YUM! Came here for brunch on a rainy Saturday before the Dallas White Rock Marathon and it was sooo good!!! I got the veggie omelet made with egg whites and comes with fruit and whole wheat toast! I wasn't able to finish it all, there was so much on the plate! Love the painted building from the outside, and looks like a diner on the inside! We had no problem with service. Excellent food, great prices, good service, awesome variety, relaxed atmosphere.... There were four of us and everyone was pleased with their food choice. I had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich (sautéed in honey chipotle) on wheat bread. I added Cholula Hot Sauce (just because I love an extra kick). This sandwich was very tasty. The sweet potato fries that accompany the sandwich topped it off for me. Today was my first visit to Cafe Brazil, and I will definitely return to try breakfast with coffee! read more

Went here for breakfast on Friday. Love their French toast. The best part about walking in there is the good smells of flavored coffee. Nice staff and manager walking around to help out and make sure everyone was doing ok. The coffee drink prices are higher then I wanted but still a great place to go and have breakfast. I usually love going to Cafe Brazil. I love that although it's a breakfast place, that they serve chicken nuggets and fries for my very picky little one at 9 am in the morning. Today's was very sub-par, and I'm not sure if I'll ever suggest going to Cafe Brazil for breakfast again, at least not anytime soon. We were seated right away which was great, the hubs ordered a cup of chili, and the Mexican omelette. The chili came out cold! I ordered the build your own omelette with chicken, poblanos and mushrooms and it was just okay. Nothing special, but then again I'm currently in the middle of a Whole30. I had the breakfast rellano today and it was delicious! All of our food came out hot and within a timely manner. I had a side of hashbrown casserole and didn't like it so they let me get a cup of fruit instead. The fruit was freshly cut and a great mixture. Great breakfast place for sure! read more

About 10 years ago I spent some time in the Dallas area for work. The Cafe Brazil location in Deep Ellum was a favorite of mine. Fast Forward to 2015. In Dallas at the start of a road trip. And really wanting to experience Cafe Brazil again. There seem to be more locations now. And it appears to be more commercialized. Wildly popular, long lines, service struggling to keep up, good food but not exceptional. Perhaps my memories are deceiving me or time clouded my judgement but I thought it was better before... We love going to this Cafe Brazil and make it there at least twice a month. Marco, Jordy and Cassidy and the other wait staff always provide excellent service and the food is always great. I alternate between the lemon pepper chicken pasta and the chicken quesadilla - hubby usually gets his favorite steak quesadilla. Sometimes we share nachos which is always good and I enjoy T-H-E Sandwhich when I am in the mood for breakfast - it's delicious. It can get busy but that is the mark of a popular place. It is easy to put tables together if you are meeting a large group of friends, which is also a plus. read more

The service was quick and attentive, and the food was great. I ordered the Wine Country Salad, and my wife ordered the T-H-E Sandwich. Both were great. On our previous trip, I ordered the Cheese Omelet and my wife ordered the Crepes. Those, too, were excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and quiet. OMG! French toast w/ fruit! Never lets me down. French toast is made with fancy bread and topped with an assortment of fruit and dusted with powdered sugar and some kind of raspberry or red sauce. I don't add any syrup because it's that good without. Thank me later. read more

My husband and I went here for dinner to night. The service was okay, they didn't have sweet tea which is a negative for me, since I LOVE SWEET TEA! The food was amazing! However, the service and wait time for food was awful. Waited over 40 min from time we ordered for two plates. When the food was delivered it was still missing sides. After five min of watching our waitress go back a forth to the back we finally went up and asked the hostess to get the missing items, which she came out with instantly. Here I go again, having something fried. I should know better by now but I so love the flavor of a good chicken fried steak with eggs over easy for breakfast! I was going to rate this place two stars for the lack of genuine concern for the customers by the wait staff but the perfectly cooked and flavored cfs and eggs prompted me to bump it up a star. The coffee situation here is very dire although the variations in coffee are an excellent beginning to a long day. It is a self serve coffee bar tucked away in a very small corner of the restaurant. No problem if you are the only one drinking coffee but if the restaurant is full and everyone is drinking coffee you are SOL unless you are willing to dive in with slinging elbows to fight for your cup full of morning kick start. My wife and I decided to try it for breakfast. When we got inside, we were seated promptly, but then completely ignored for the next 10 minutes. No water, no offer of coffee, not even an acknowledgement that we were there. Sad thing, we were sitting directly behind the hostess station. Even attempts to get someone's attention were ignored. Wow! I live around this corner from this Cafe Brazil and have been eating breakfast here often for the past 5 years. Usually the service is lacking but today it was so horrible my husband and I almost walked out. With the new covid restrictions, the restaurant was mostly empty for breakfast with 4 servers, each responsible for 2 tables, many of which were empty. The server took over 10 minutes to take our drink order. We ordered food at the same time. Roughly 20 minutes later, the server brought my order and an incorrect food order for my husband, something special order that was COMPLETELY different from what he ordered - THE FIRST ITEM ON THE BREAKFAST MENU. We called the server over to let her know the mistake. She started by saying "what did I screw up?" It came off very unapologetic. She took the food away without apologizing and went to speak with the manager. Over 10 minutes later she came back and said "I put in new food since I messed up." Although the acknowledgement of her mistake was good, she never actually said apologized. I finished my meal before my husbands food ever came. They did give us a 20% discount which we did appreciate but struggling through the terrible service here is no longer worth it for us. We have overlooked a lot in the time we've been eating there and to us, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. This was the first Cafe Brazil I ever visited. Bottomless coffee...CHECK. Great French Toast...CHECK. Migas that will make you sweat if you don't pick out a couple of jalepenos...CHECK. I have never had anything bad at any Cafe Brazil...the breakfast, the sandwiches, the coffee...my kind of place. I have found all the Cafe Brazil's to be consistent with quality of food and service...that's why it's one of my favorite places to eat anytime. Food service is about customer service. Manager this morning gets a "fail" when she refused to allow two small adjoining open tables to be pulled together to seat our party of 6. First the hostess gave the most lame excuse I could imagine, and then the manger topped it with a worse one. Really, you want your customers watching people coming after them being seated and writing reviews like this? The tables were out of traffic and we could have done it in 5 seconds...terrible manager. My mom is so obsessed with this place that she makes sure we go there for breakfast any time she's in town. I love their Smoked Turkey Migas!!! For the most part, the service is pretty good. For a short stretch, the service was bad, but it can be hit or miss. I think they got rid of the waitress I had a few bad experiences with. They also have unlimited drip coffee in various flavors, but I've never tried that option. I usually get a plain "Latte on the Rocks," with an extra shot of espresso, but it's just okay. Definitely not as flavorful as Starbucks. Overall, this is a nice place for breakfast or lunch. You also get a discount for being a teacher!!!! Just make sure you bring your badge. :) read more

Coffee was good to very good. Have as much as you'd like, it's self service. Breakfast offerings are flavorful and different. Don't order pancakes though, they're not great. Stick with one of the egg offerings and you won't be disappointed. Atmosphere here is kind of blah, so you have to overlook that as well. read more
