I like their cute presentations of their drinks! ::Drinks:: My friend got the Ice Green Tea that came in a mini pitcher and a small cream puff. I got a Hot Green Tea Latte. It came in a white cup and a cream puff as well. They do cute designs on some drinks so I asked if they could put Yelp - "Walaa" -check out the pic! Both drinks were good. ::Dessert:: On my second visit, my other friend got some kind of Chocolate Cake; it was dry. I got the Snow Affogato. It's a bowl of vanilla ice cream and topped with fluffy white cotton candy. Then you pour the hot espresso on top and watch the cotton candy melt to the bottom. i'm 13, with my family, and was about to pay for me and my little brother's drinks, but the worker at the cashier didn't let me pay assuming that i was from a large group. later on, he decided not to take our orders and didn't even take my order after I was already there at the cashier paying for my drinks. Very minimalist menu and decor to a fault, yet it has the potential to easily become a 4 or even 5 star location. Came here for a coffee after eating dinner across the street only to be greeted with white walls, a single spot light, and a couple of wall decorations. Plenty of tables though. I didnt have a bad experience and my interaction with the barista was pleasent enough, it just felt empty. On the bright side my coffee was very enjoyable. I have not given up on this location and I will be back in a couple of weeks. I hope this location can do a little more to fill out the atmosphere with subtle music, some board games or maybe add some color and decor to the walls. Other than the super cute aesthetic of the place, I would not return regularly to Cafe Maji. Their items are on the more expensive side, while the taste of the drinks are very mediocre and poorly executed. The first time I came here a few years ago, I thought that their drinks were decent, but after my most recent visit, I will strongly not recommend their drinks. I got their green tea Andes mint chocolate shake, and it was super liquidy and not thick. The texture was completely off, and it felt like I was drinking melted mint chocolate chip ice cream. I tried some of my friend's lavender affogato, and their lavender flavor did not mix well with the ice cream and coffee. The cafe is located in the quiet suburbs of Artesia, so it makes for a good place to chill and catch up with friends and even get some work done, or if you want something Instagram-worthy, get a latte or their cotton candy drinks. M liked his BBQ quesadilla which had a decent amount of meat in it. The carbonara pasta was good and though all their pastas have garlic in their sauce, I could barely taste the garlic in it which I liked. Red bean green tea milk shake was yummy, but there was too little of it. It was gone pretty quick. I don't remember what I ordered the first time I came here, but during my second visit I ordered the Strawberry Lemonade and Bulgogi Quesadilla. The strawberry lemonade was surprisingly refreshing and not tart at all. And it's so cute that each drink order comes with a little cream puff...yummy! The bulgogi quesadilla was slightly disappointing since there wasn't much bulgogi beef but plenty of cheese. The quesadilla came with sides of pico de gallo and sour cream. Checked out Cafe Maji for some dessert after a meal and loved it! It was busy inside but the employee was attentive and patient with our indecisiveness at first. We ordered shakes, a Taro and a Matcha Green Tea, as well as a Waffle with Nutella and Strawberry. All were scrumptious. The waffle was crisp on the exterior and chewy and delicious on the inside. They didn't skimp on the Nutella or the strawberries which we appreciated. The shakes were true to flavor and were a perfect consistency. This hit the spot! Never really wrote a review because there wasn't really a reason to but today changed my perspective of this place completely and it is because of the owner and how passionate and dedicated he is. It has been a while since I came back and when I placed an order, he immediately recognized me in a hat and mask. I was a little confused and he even remembered that I usually come with my girlfriend as well which makes me really happy about how much of a great owner/person he is. The cute cafe Maji you know is gone. I think it's under new management and unfortunately it's not good. Gone are the cute decor and tranquil space. It is now just a sparse white room with tables scattered about. We came on a Saturday afternoon as a treat for my daughter. I wanted to love this place but some things fell short. While the place was really cutely decorated, bright, and had a lot of space, the music was way too loud to be enjoyable. What enticed me the most was their adorable latte art! That didn't disappoint, but the actual taste of the lattes? Not very good. The coffee tasted neither rich or smooth, but too runny and sugary with a pretty milk foam on top. I had a Irish Cream latte, which was neither creamy or minty. Can't believe it took me this long to finally visit! A delightfully cute Korean cafe - great place to catch up with friends or get some work done. Came here on a Saturday afternoon, the place was packed but we were seated not too long after arriving. Later in evening it got more crowded and there was a waitlist for tables. Located in a small strip mall, parking may be difficult to find at peak times. The drinks are a bit pricey, but presentation was A++. I ordered a lavender latte with almond milk ($4.75 + $.75) while bf ordered early grey iced milk tea ($6). Our drinks each came with a small dessert pastry (we each got a creme puff). Drinks came out quickly and tasted good. Later on we ordered the white truffle and parmesan fries ($9) - smelled so good that the table next to us not long afterward ordered one too! They are generous with the parmesan topping. Most interesting thing was that it consisted of so many different types of fries - curly, thick, thin, waffle - we were boggled as this was not expected Service was good, aside from having a hard time flagging down someone. They are quick to take your order, but after delivering your drinks they tend to leave you alone and not constantly check on you (which is fine with us, since we were in conversation and working) Minus one star for the restroom - the only un-cute thing in the whole place! I heard psycho theme music playing in my head after I entered - It wasn't the dirtiest, but it wasn't also the cleanest - I think best way to describe it is that it isn't well kept or maintained often. It's not too noisy, but bring headphones if you are easily distracted. Discovered this cafe about 2 years ago, so a review is long overdue. Recently been coming a bit more often, and it's always a delight. The guy who takes our order is so kind and attentive. The cafe is beautifully decorated and has plentiful spaced out seating. They have an extensive food menu, but I've only ever ordered drinks and a few pastries, everything is always so good. It's also very clearly microwaved as it comes out with the plate scorching hot. The service was fine. No complaints there. Order came out at an acceptable speed. The decor, however, is somewhat strange. They have floating shelves lining the walls holding different Korean items like BTS pop figures and the such. Their tables are mismatched, with wooden desks and plastic party tables mixed in the bunch. They also have different chairs laid out in no particular order with wooden ones, plastic ones and metal ones. I can assume that it is this way to save money on furniture, but it is a small cafe so it's understandable. From my experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

First time back to Cafe Maji in 5 years! Ive known this place since it was still a tiiiny pop up inside the Arcadia Gym where you would have to sign into the gym just to go upstairs for the cafe. I was so happy for them when they opened a stand alone store in Cerritos! For years the interior of the shop and its decorations were my decoration inspo, with the whimsical trinkets and paper cutouts and korean minimalist aesthetics. Not to mention some of the cutest asian latte art my eyes have been graced with (bears, kitten paws, etc). Covid has been hard on everyone including this place. Came around 1pm after soondubu at Chodang. The shop was cute but seemed just a little dustier than I remembered. I ordered a vanilla latte and lavender oat latte to go. I noticed there was only one person (i think the owner) working the shop and suddenly 2 fairly large groups came in after I ordered. Our drinks took a bit longer than usual (totally understandable), so to our surprise the owner apologized and gave us a box of mini cream puffs on the house when the drinks came out! Upon opening the lid (to make sure i wouldn't burn my lip), I noticed the owner even drew little bear happy faces on the latte EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A TO-GO ORDER and he was so busy! I was very moved.
