    Delicious pepperoni pizza
    Dave M.

I've enjoyed coming here often on for probably 10 years now. And that says it all - in this time or restaurants come and go, especially with Covid happening, this place has stood the test of time. You order at the counter and pay up front. The menu is full of different options for pizza... with salads, calzones, and some Italian dishes as well. This visit I ordered the pepperoni pizza and a glass of rosé. (I ordered another glass of rosé after sitting, and it was brought to me easily and quickly as well!) Open seating, seat yourself, and I'll bring you the food and drinks there's an outdoor patio with some heat lamps if it's chilly - abundant seating is present. The staff is very family like and friendly. Very personable. The food is delicious. It was a conscious choice to come here on the day I went, and I chose this place over two other places I get pizza regularly in the area. The pizza had a delicious crust, flavorful sauce, the right amount of cheese, and lots of pepperoni. They are open for lunch and dinner, so you can get the food goodness all day long. I tend to gravitate towards places that make me feel comfortable and welcome. Not to mention - good food and drinks! Cafe Verde definitely a go to for me, and if you're in the area, you definitely can't go wrong if you'd like Italian or pizza.

    SPOLETO

I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and sat outside on the covered patio. Weather was nice. Service was ok, could have been a bit more cordial, but I was looking for pizza. There was a good selection of pies and I landed on the Spoleto, which is a mushroom and sausage pizza. It was very tasty, but next time I'll as them to keep it in the fire for another 5 minutes to get the center a bit more crispy. Overall enjoyed the pie and would recommend coming again.

Friday's pizza fix at Cafe Verde. What a surprise to walk into jazz music played by local teenagers. Bravo crew! We grabbed some tasty German beer, salad, and pizza. It's a good local spot to grab a bite. I would ask for the pizza to stay in longer next time. I can't wait until it's warm enough to site outside. They have a great beer selection on tap.

Wish I could eat the whole thing! Pisa - breakfast pizza

Pisa breakfast pizza! The bomb. So darn good. I thoroughly enjoy this place. Not always a warm and fuzzy welcome but more like dry humor which I enjoy. The Antipasta Mista is also wonderful. The bread is warm, toasty and with oil - not anything like I've had other places. Decent wines and beers, nice salads, other pizzas have been just as delicious. Espresso, good looking desserts. Back for more soon!

Came in for the first time on Sunday evening with my sister and brother in law. Greeted and seated by the window. Ordered two pizzas -one Caesar salad -two glasses of red wine -and a red velvet cake for dessert. Truly one of the best pizzas we have ever had. Fantastic chewy crust. Do not understand one of the reviews saying you have to order at the counter lest you look entitled? we intended to order at the counter but before we could, we were very graciously waited on and served. Maybe that has changed since that review . It wasn't that busy so maybe that was why? Anyway, it was a great experience, great dinner, and enjoyed our time there very much. And even got an extra (comped) dessert probably because we were new to the restaurant; it was such a nice thoughtful gesture. Will definitely come here again.

    Caprese Salad

First time visiting after seeing it mentioned someplace on ND. Too cold to sit outside but I'm fully vaccinated so I felt comfortable sitting in their sheltered patio. I ordered a caprese salad, the eggplant parm and a glass of Prosecco. The portions of food were very large. Enough for another meal for take home! The tomatoes definitely looked heirloom and the fresh mozzarella was so smooth. Eggplant was tasty with lots of sauce and basil. Fresh parm was also left on the table. Bread was offered, but I declined. It was not inexpensive. But I'm looking at it from the point of two meals vs one. While it is counter ordering, the owner works the tables as service. Several people came in after me so it was nice to see afternoon biz for them.

Chicken risotto with lots of fresh sliced basil. Whole chicken breast. Enough for two meals. Yum!

Our veal cannelloni and chicken risotto were both excellent tonight, as was the starter Caesar salad. A beautiful late summer evening on our lovely Town Park Plaza, enjoying our uniquely charming community cafe.

$5 Daddy Special when you show desperation in getting a non caffeinated drink for your kids.
    Brian Q.

Don't get the Daddy Special. His fault for taking advantage of me or my fault for showing such desperation and letting him? $5 for a tiny 10oz bottled orange juice that wasn't even fresh squeezed? Am I at Disneyland? After a tiring hour at the playground, I walked my kids over to the cafe out of convenience to get myself a Latte and pick something up for the kids to drink. 1 Latte + 2 orange juices totaled $15 even! How convenient that the price was exactly $15, almost like he made up the prices on the spot. I expect to pay a mark up at a retail store, but this was crazy. Worse than a movie theater. A 64oz would cost $2.86 at Walmart. Maybe I should've driven there and gotten myself 6.4 bottles for half the price of 1 baby bottle here. Ridiculous. In hindsight, I should've just left the Latte at the counter and walked out. Just the principle of this was gross, but I guess I blame myself for not walking out when I should have. Generally, when I have a choice, I pick the independently owned place to support, but next time it'll Starbucks where they won't charge me an arm and a leg. Just sad that I was trying to do the right thing in times like this to support the mom and pops and the owner ends up taking advantage of me. The worst part was the smirk he gave me at the end as I left. Never coming back and I don't recommend anyone else either. Their coffee wasn't even good.

Our waiter was rude and didn't seem to know much about the menu or the dishes. The prices were extremely high, and for a party of five, our bill came to over $400--almost $500. To make matters worse, the food did not justify the price. The salmon was undercooked, the portions were incredibly small, and the overall quality was disappointing. We actually had to go somewhere else to eat afterward because we were still hungry. Overall, this was a terrible dining experience. We will never come back, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Hopefully, none of us gets sick after eating there.

An employee tried to explain it when we arrived, but after we chose to sit inside, we were first seated in the wrong area and then moved to the back where the pizza is served. Not exactly the smoothest start. The food was good, but a bit pricey for what it was. We ordered the mushroom pierogies (which was misspelled on the menu) and a pizza. Both were tasty, but neither was memorable enough to make me feel the prices were justified. Service, on the other hand, was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. The strangest part was the seating. We were placed next to a service area hidden behind a curtain, except the curtain did nothing to block the noise. We could hear all the conversations going on behind it, and there seemed to be a lot of unnecessary drama happening back there. It gave the whole meal an oddly uncomfortable vibe. As I write this review, an outdoor table for four has remained empty directly in front of us for the entire time. We were still refused that table. When I questioned why our reservation could not be honored, the manager, Adriana, responded, "Go ahead and give us a bad review." I found that response dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in empathy. My family and I are Brown, and the way we were treated left me with serious concerns that we were not treated the same as other guests. I cannot know the reason with certainty, but the combination of refusing to honor our outdoor reservation, claiming the outdoor tables were suddenly "not wheelchair accessible," leaving an outdoor table vacant throughout our visit, and the manager's response left me feeling humiliated and unwelcome. I hope Pacific Catch reviews the reservation records, available security footage, and the actions of its staff so that no other family has a similar experience. The wait was 20-25 minutes to be seated outside. We provided our cell number to receive a text when our table was ready. Text received. Host was friendly and seated us promptly. There were two outdoor areas for Hog Island - a smaller, narrower seating area that held parties up to 4 and a larger tented, barn style area that accommodated parties exceeding 5. The table we were seated at was small, requiring us to rearrange our setting multiple times to accommodate dishes and drinks received. Even though the space was rather quaint, we avoided being bumped into. Conversations are far from private, we heard a lot. Our order of two drinks - a Manhattan ($17) and Spicy Pineapple margarita ($16) - along with a food order of a dozen half shell oysters ($48), four grilled oysters ($18), a fried fish sandwich ($24) and a rustic seafood stew ($36). Our drinks were perfectly made and perfect for a relaxing day. At $16 for a margarita in a martini glass was devastating to say the least. Highly cheap on the part of Hog Island. The same could be said for my brother's customized drink in a martini glass at $17. The oysters on a half shell were shared between two, enjoyed by both. The oysters were perfectly shucked - free of an unwanted crunch from shell pieces. They were fresh, large and delicious. The grilled oysters were prepared just right, not over grilled with a juicy finish. The chipotle sauce overpowered the oyster and the garlic oil was the ultimate compliment to enhance the natural flavor of the oyster. I am not a fan of cooked oysters, these were prepared to complement the oyster (minus our chipotle selection). There was also a miso butter option, my husband had visited previously and said it was too salty. My brother devoured his fish sandwich, said it was juicy, crunchy and well prepared. The bun was soft and slightly sweet complimenting his fish burger. Hod order came with a side of fries. My rustic seafood stew was slightly disappointing. The mussels, clams, shrimp and lingcod were prepared perfectly but there was not a lot to enjoy at $36. I did not expect a lot, just a little more than the portion received. I fished through the tomato base looking for missed seafood. With these bites there was a lot of crunching from shell bits. This part discouraged me from continuing to look for missed pieces of seafood. I am not a fan of crunchy soup that is not intended to be as such. Overall we had a beautiful experience. Our waiter was comical, the view was beautiful, the weather warm with kisses of breeze and the company shared with my brother couldn't have made it any more perfect. We would definitely return again. Apple Pay is accepted as the payment system is brought to the table. I'm sure other mobile forms of payment are accepted too. Gift cards can be purchased at the register where you check in with a hostess. Hoping my daughter's teacher enjoys our appreciation of her when she visits.
