Pretty cute spot with some tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Stopped by to grab some gelato after lunch. I enjoyed the black sesame, lychee, and passionfruit flavors. Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan of the strawberry honey lavender or the guava flavors. Overall, I thought it was a nice place to stop by for some dessert. Amazing gelato! I really forgot how gelato tasted after always just having ice cream. But definitely worth purposely making the drive to pick some up for some after Thanksgiving dessert. We purchased the Tahitian vanilla bean and stracciatella flavors! I can't wait to come back and try more of their flavors. The location is on Burlingame Ave across from Limon and Tiny Tea, near TPumps. It can get busy there, but perfect for grabbing a cone and taking a stroll! :) we'll probably alternate between this and Salt & Straw. read more

They got a good amount of gelatos that seem fun and actually well crafted. I got the mint chip because it's my favorite flavor and wasn't artificially dyed green like virtually ever other place. It's worth a stop if you're nearby! read more

My mom and I were checking out all the dessert places on Burlingame Ave. Gelato was what stuck out to us most! They offer so many flavors! The employee was helpful and provided us her favorite flavors, one of them being Hazelnut Brownie. Sampled it and loved it! I also sampled the Strawberry Honey Lavender, it was a customer rec. Ended up ordering 2 scoop with both flavors :) My mom even liked that the gelato shop was also an Italian deli. read more

The place is super cute! It's half of an ice cream shop and half of a sandwich shop with a wall full of different variety of candies! so if you have little ones, just be careful since they are most likely going to ask everything that they see. I ended up getting the speciale sandwich and it was delicious. I was very tempted to get dessert right after! But, I was so full. They only have one table inside and there are outside seating so don't expect to be able to eat with the table unless you're able to eat while standing. I will definitely come back! read more

Caffe Stellato's gelato is excellent -- creamy and smooth with ample mix-ins. I got the pistachio gelato and it was beyond good. There were huge, whole pistachios, and the ice cream itself tasted like real, natural pistachios. My dad got the coconut almond joy flavor, which also had pieces of almonds, chocolate, and coconut. A quaint small shop that sells specialty Italian candies & other snacks along one wall, a caffe/gelato counter on the opposite side, and a sandwich counter in the back. We visited on a Wednesday around 5pm so we decided to order a caffe latte, an americano, and a slice of the Torta di Nona. Since there is only one small table inside, we sat at one of the outdoor blue tables. A staff person brought out our drink orders and everything we had was delicious. read more

It was a really hot day when my friends and I passed by this shop so we really needed a cold dessert! There were many fruit sorbet flavors and I decided to go with watermelon. It was so refreshing and of course there was no artificial watermelon taste. My friends got the mango and guava sorbet, and espresso gelato and they said those were good too :) read more

Loved the gelato I had here! It really had that nice and creamy texture and the flavors were so yummy. The ones I got were Tiramisu and Black Cherry Chip. Both were delicious but the tiramisu was surprisingly good as it had the pieces of ladyfingers mixed in. Their display of desserts look great as well but I didn't have room at the time for any. Service was very friendly and the server took the time to go over which flavors were popular. Outdoor seating only, but it's nice to sit out on a sunny day to enjoy your gelato. Gelato over Ice Cream. Anyday and everyday. Didn't realize that this spot was right next to Tpumps. Had I known sooner, my Tpumps Tuesday would have turned into Gelato, gelato, and more gelato. I like it here. Customer service is beautiful - even when it's a busy Friday night. Super accommodating, kind, and welcoming. Wide range of flavors to taste and pick from. Good luck! I will say that the texture and consistency between flavors vary. I don't think that creamy, gelato gooiness is consistent across the board. Especially the peanut butter flavor. The gelato here is very good, and there are lots of flavors to choose from. You can sample before you pick, as well. We got 4 scoops ($10), and I enjoyed the hazelnut brownie the best. The espresso flavor was very strong. They also sell some Italian desserts like tiramisu and cannolis, and sandwiches. read more

Amazing yummy gelato! They have so many flavors so it is definitely hard to choose just one! The banner in the storefront says 60 flavors! Of course you can taste the flavors before you choose which to get, but you'll have to come back over and over again to enjoy them all (which you should)! And it is definitely well worth it! The staff here are super nice and attentive! There's always a line especially the peak times for desserts! They also have beverages, snacks and other goodies too! Our group of 7 all had different flavors and every single person enjoyed the flavors! Raspberry, fig balsamic, pistachio, rocky road, coconut, green tea, mango, and even vanilla! The line may be intimidating as it may line along the sidewalk, but it moves pretty quickly. The staff are efficient and we did not feel rushed at all, as we tried several flavors before pin pointing our final flavors. There are tables out front to sit and enjoy while watching the passers by. Will be back to enjoy more options! read more

This is one of Burlingame's best places to go! You have (really good) gelato, you have sandwiches, coffee and snacks. I've been here several times and what made me make a review was that I had to order 24 sandwiches for my work place for a birthday. I called them before the day of, and the day of about this order, and they were able to prepare it without fail! I'm really thankful and grateful for the service. I had the gelato ice cream which was pretty good a nice hole in the wall and they also do sandwiches hot or cold. I had the cookie extreme flavor and they have my different flavors to choose from and they give great service. This place opened in Redwood City and I am so happy, even though it's worth the drive to Burlingame. Their sandwiches are amazing and filled with delicious meats and/or veggies. This place is and should be famous for their crazy, huge array of gelato. There are at least 30 flavors of gelatos and sorbets which are all made in house. Go there! You will not be disappointed. This tiny space serving gelato also serves sandwiches. some chips and cookies and the usual Italian sweets such as cannoli. We had a tiramisu and coconut almond as well as chocolate cannolis. Tiramisu was ok. I was looking the segregation of coffee cake taste but didn't find it. Coconut almond was creamy and tasty. The cannoli was great after eating a savory kebab. read more

We were strolling around Burlingame, killing time before heading to the airport. We were just wanting some coffee that wasn't Starbucks and came across this place. Of course once we saw the spread of gelatos we had to try some. The cardamom was delicious, but we opted to stay with the coffee, which was strong and delicious. Decided to try a new place for some dessert. There was only one person in line and they were quick. It was a quiet afternoon and no one was inside. They had a few tables inside which we opted for. They have an array of gelato flavors and I wanted to try their fig balsamic but it wasn't available. My next choice was the white peach champagne. Got one scoop. We also tried one scoop of lychee. Both were extremely flavorful, light, refreshing and perfect for spring and summer! Definitely recommend their gelatos. I would come back and try other flavors. read more

Nice little gem in Burlingame with 42 different ice cream flavors! The owner was super nice and they stay opened late (10pm). My favorite sandwich ever is the Alpino with calabrese spread, roasted red peppers and mozzarella. I never even knew this was mainly an ice cream shop. The ambience was pretty lively for a Tuesday night, so I could just barely hear everyone talking. Upon seating, we were served baskets of complimentary bread accompanied with a unique red thick dipping oil which Peter enjoyed so much that he asked for more. The servers happily gave us extra servings. In addition to cocktails, wine, and coffee drinks, below are what we ordered for dinner: Lemon Citrus and Avocado Salad ($13) - I believe that Mom ordered this and found it to be light and refreshing. Ahi Tuna Tartar ($20) - I think that Peter and Mara shared this and ate it all up. I didn't hear any comments on it, though. Beet Salad ($14) - A very nice salad with generous slices of red and yellow beets and goat cheese. For an additional $12, Auntie Marissa added Salmon to her salad and had it as her main dish which filled her up. Grilled Polenta Cake ($12) - Auntie Marissa found this starter to be rich and filling. She said that Pal would really like it. Penne Con Pomodora E Melanzane ($20) - DJ was not very impressed by this bowl of pasta and eggplant, unfortunately. Paella Valencia ($32) - Uncle Danny is not a big seafood eater, but he was very pleased with this Spanish rice dish. Grilled Filet Mignon ($50) - Yum! This was my order and I loved it. Duck Ragu ($26) - Peter did not seem as enthusiastic about this pasta dish as he did with the complimentary red dipping oil for the baskets of bread. Penne Al Forno ($26) - Mom ordered this and thought that it was good. Classic Italian Tiramisu ($12) - This was served to me on the house, topped with a lit candle for my birthday. Everyone enjoyed sharing it. Bread Pudding ($13) - Ok, according to DJ. Trio of French Mini-Chocolate Beignets ($12) - These round beignets were like light donut holes filled with chocolate. They were nice, especially with the side of whipped cream and sliced strawberries. Service was excellently friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Although DJ didn't think highly of Trapeze Restaurant, Mom and I were delighted by the dinner and would return with pleasure.

CertA Surprise Find on Burlingame Ave: Caffe Stellato Picture this: I'm cruising down Burlingtown Ave, minding my own business, when suddenly - BAM! - major frozen dessert craving hits. That's when I stumbled upon Caffe Stellato, and boy, am I glad I did. This place is like a little slice of Italy hiding in plain sight! First things first - the gelato. (Because let's be real, why eat ice cream when you can have gelato?) They've got three whole cases of the stuff! I must've stood there for a good five minutes, just gawking at all the flavors. Eventually, I went for a combo that would make my dentist weep: Very Rocky Road and Triple Fudge Chocolate. And because I live by my friend Bennett's wise words, "No regrets, eat more ice cream," I got it in a cup WITH a cone on top. Thanks for the encouragement, Bennett - you're the real MVP here! But here's the kicker - while I'm there, happily stuffing my face with this heavenly gelato, I realize there's way more to this place than just frozen treats. The smell of coffee was driving me nuts, and don't even get me started on the pastries. They've got sandwiches, salads, crepes - the works! Oh, and candies too. Because apparently, they're trying to turn us all into kids in a candy store. I'm not gonna lie, I'm already plotting my next visit. This caffe is located right across from the Toy store, so right after shopping for toys with my toddler we pay a visit to the best Gelato place in town and split a yummy sandwich between the two of us followed by dessert .
