I dropping my car off at around 8: 15 on Jan 13th. An older woman that apparently was running the shop, was being extremely disrespectful to one of her front desk colleague.A Latino gentleman around 50. I had to listen to her nonsense and barraging this poor man about some paperwork. it was very uncomfortable for me. I just wanted to leave. You don't ever do that in front of your paying customer. Finally, your pos systems are extremely slow. To check one person out takes 20 to 30 minute. Between the cumbersome system , phone calls and mechanics interrupting. Again I just wanted out of this place. The front desk person has to go through 20 screens on the computer , then print out a bunch paperwork. Highly disappointed. Made appt. For just replacing front brake pads, typically an easy job. Decided to wait for work. After 2 hours 45 minutes I finally looked out window into work bays to see what was going on. Not a soul out there working. Seems like they took a lunch break while they know I'm waiting. Asked front desk about it. He denied it but went to check. Out comes my car 2 minutes later. Clearly it had been done tho who knows for how long. Then he says $593. I Was flabbergasted and questioned it. He said they did rotors, which I didn't ask for. So he says 'ok, no charge for those.' Then he says $359 and I told him I thought that was too much, so he says $259. It gets really old how they assume females are clueless where cars are concerned. First time here. Just looking for an inspection. After a very poor experience at Quick Lube and being told it would be at least a 3-4 hour wait, I drove down 544 looking for another place. Saw Caliber Auto Care, and that they had an Express service area, and headed over. Man, am I glad I did. Not only is it spacious, clean and comfortable in the waiting area, the friendly service was top notch. They got me right in and I was on my way probably in 15 minutes or less. While waiting, I was texting my wife and sending her pictures of it.....that is how nice it was. Told her to never go to any other quick oil change place going forward....and we definitely won't. I love this local business. The staff is always friendly and honest with me even though I'm a female. They will only suggest items that may need replacing etc. no hard sales and I always feel like I get a good deal with no hassles. I have a new GMC 2500 Diesel. I was hoping to use Caliber for all of my maintenance and be more convenient then the dealership. I had my oil changed first and everything went good. They did spend a lot of time looking at things that did not need done. But I got my oil changed ok. Second trip everything went bad. I needed my fuel filter changed. I stopped in and Matt Levitsky said no way they could get to it that day. I need to make an appointment. I made an appointment online when I could get it in. I showed up at 8:30 for my appointment and Matt Levistky again told me no way they could get to it today. I told him I have an appointment. He said he only had one tech and not way it could get done. Then he said you know what I am to good here is my card. I will give you $50 off if you come back in Friday morning at 8:00. Again this is now my third trip of 18 miles from my home north of Wylie. Matt Levitsiy then tells me he is backed up with appointments and it will be two to three hours. He has to get the parts and then do the work that takes an hour. My question was I have an appointment twice why did he not already have the parts. I was not going to wait that long when I was told every time it would be one hour and I could wait. I then left and went to McKinney GMC where I bought the truck and had the filter changed. I got it don $30 cheaper then Calibers regular price of $189. Matts $50 off deal would have been good if he could pull of getting work done. I have used Caliber Collision in Wylie a few times with great results and great work. But I will not be using Caliber any more for my auto maintenance. Caliber should cut their losses with Matt Levitsky if they intend to stay in business in Murphy. James McTavish read more

Caliber in Murphy is pretty much the same as other Caliber locations we've used. Great customer service and the waiting area is top notch with an indoor playground, big screen tv, comfy chairs, and usb plugs for charging personal devices. Their shop rates seem to be on par with other auto repair facilities. They text you with written quotes for work approval. Very professional. They charge a separate $119 for diagnostic services where other shops waive their fee if you agree to have the shop perform the recommended work. I had taken an old car to them with the check engine light on and warranty work on an AC compressor that had gone bad. My only issue is their repair quote charged double/triple for parts from what I can buy them at auto parts stores. Perhaps this is common for all auto repair facilities, especially considering Caliber's level of service. What repairs I agreed to was done quickly, but I ended up declining some repair recommendations and doing these repairs myself and saved hundreds of dollars. read more

Update: My battery went out at 6:00 on a Friday evening and they fixed it for me no problem, within an hour. That was a couple of weeks ago. And then today, my husband's car was rattling suddenly. I told him to take it to Caliber. Turns out it was something totally simple and they fixed it in a few minutes and didn't charge him. Thanks guys! read more

I'm only here for a vehicle inspection, but I feel like they rolled out the red carpet. The online appointment was easy and intuitive. When I arrived, the account manager was friendly, attentive and genuine. The building is open and clean, with a child's play area. The seating area is comfortable and inviting. There are no-touch hand sanitizer dispensers conveniently located. There is free Tazo Tea and a Starbucks coffee dispenser. Man that Chai Latte was just what I needed this morning. My brakes started squeaking after the recent ice storm so I brought it to this location to have it looked at. I was told I needed to completely replace my rotors and brake pads, and that the previous owner of my vehicle had incorrectly installed brake pads so it was now ruined. I was quoted over $900 for the repair and told that if I didn't fix it immediately my calipers would go next which would add $600. Fortunately I have enough mechanical knowledge to know this couldn't be right so I took my car to the dealership for a second opinion. The dealership confirmed that my brakes were in great condition and simply needed to have some sand cleaned out. They took care of it and my brakes are no longer squeaking. I am extremely disappointed that Caliber Auto Care was going to charge me nearly a grand for a completely unnecessary repair and that they took so much time trying to convince me that my brakes were ruined. I will not be returning to this location and will be warning others to not trust their service. read more

I was hoping to leave a glowing review! But, unfortunately I cannot. I will start with the positives. This place is clean, welcoming, and has a playground for my kids. I really liked the general manager Matt and he seemed very accommodating. I got my A/C recharged there and they did great. But I asked about a sound my vehicle was making and he told us to come back in 3 days later because his master technician wasn't in the day I came in. I rearranged my schedule and came in when I was told. I was retelling my problems to them to get them set up and hand them my keys when Matt decided he wanted to take it for a drive. We sat in the play area and 3 mins later he came back and said our car was "fix". The problem was the tires. He took me outside to explain how my tires are the "problem" to my mind numbing vibration and grinding sound. I couldn't even figure how he got up to the speeds I said the problem was at in 3 mins. I understand he didn't want me to pay money unnecessarily, and I respect that greatly. But what he failed to do was let his MASTER TECH look at the vehicle and give the final say. He even had his office guys come look at the tires and boasted that he was using this as a "teachable moment"! He was very proud of himself. Well, before I spent 800$ on new tires I got a second and third opinion. Matt left us to drive out of his shop with a ticking time bomb. My drive shaft and bushings need to be completely replaced. I live in the country and drive a lot. That couldn't have been intensely dangerous if I had just taken his word on it being my tires. Just because I am a woman doesn't make me an idiot. I knew something greater was the problem and not only would Matt not listen, he never let a technician even inspect the vehicle. I will never be back, no matter how convenient it is. I truly hope this can be the real "teachable moment" - don't be so confident in your "knowledge" that you diagnose before inspecting. read more
