Streak of sticky residue on my windshield, smeared on the glass when I had to scrub it off.

I want to begin by recognizing the front desk team--Veronica and Ari--who were consistently kind, welcoming, and communicative. They were the only positive part of my experience at this location. Unfortunately, everything beyond their service fell far below professional standards. My concerns began the moment I arrived. As I pulled into the lot, the employee overseeing my repairs, Al, stood outside staring at me while I parked and gathered my things. However, when I walked inside, he had disappeared, leaving the receptionists to call him repeatedly, even over the loudspeaker, before he finally showed up. From the start, Al came across as a shifty, fast-talking salesperson. During the parking lot inspection, he threw out a rough estimate of around $5,000 and said the total would likely increase once they saw the internal damage. That was understandable, but when I asked why certain items with no visible issues needed to be replaced, he brushed me off without explanation. He also asked about my rental situation, and when I told him my insurance didn't cover it, he promised--very confidently--that he would prioritize my car so I wouldn't have to pay too much out-of-pocket. He told me he'd start ordering the parts that Friday and to drop it off Monday, assuring me it would be done within a few days, Friday at the latest. He emphasized multiple times that he would "update me every step of the way." None of those promised updates ever came. After dropping off my car Monday, I heard nothing for days. By Thursday, I called and had to try multiple times before reaching someone. When I finally spoke with Al, he could not give a single detail about the progress and simply said I should expect the car back "next week." I reminded him that I needed updates to plan for transportation, and he again promised he would keep me informed. Week two was exactly the same. No one contacted me, so I called Thursday morning. After struggling to reach the shop yet again, Ari transferred me to Al. When I asked him how the repairs were going, he replied that they were "going great" and refused to elaborate. He said he would call me by the end of the day with an update--then never did. When I called back later, the call routed to Caliber Collision's support line. The representative was kind and apologetic, but there was nothing she could do. At my request, she said she would relay my concerns to management and that someone should reach out. No one ever contacted me. By Friday--now a full week past the original promised deadline--I finally reached Al, who casually said my car "should be done today." When I asked what time so I could coordinate returning the car I was borrowing, he initially told me not to worry and that he would "take care of it" if I just left the vehicle. When I explained the car belonged to my cousin, he backtracked and eventually gave a vague estimate of "after lunch... probably around 3-ish." When I picked up the car, I was shocked to find the bill had doubled from the original $5,000 estimate to nearly $10,000. When I later spoke with my insurance company, my adjuster told me the shop had never submitted an estimate--only the final charges--which struck him as unusual and against their typical procedures. Thankfully, insurance covered most of it, but the lack of transparency felt extremely suspicious. When I finally got my car back, the problems continued. There were sticky streaks on the windshield that hadn't been there before, and the next day I discovered that part of my gear-shift console was missing. The compartment underneath--something I had never opened--was full of grime, and items inside my car had been rearranged. I had no idea why the interior had been accessed at all when the exterior was the only damaged area. I visited again during my next lunch break and they quickly snapped it back to place, but I shouldn't have needed to in the first place. Overall, this location provided one of the most unprofessional and frustrating customer experiences I've ever had. Between the lack of communication, evasive answers, missed deadlines, questionable billing, and mishandling of my vehicle, I cannot recommend this shop. While I hope this experience is isolated, my advice is to save your time, money, and stress by taking your business somewhere else.

Had an issue with a repair. *Update - Received a call back from Manager. Had a very good conversation. He was considerate and professional and had a genuine concern for the issue. Will be bringing car back this week. *Final Update - Al Rodarte handled the situation. A professional at his job.

Came here to fix my car after I got rear ended at a gas station. They were very responsive and always communicated with me about any updates. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Mike P. is an EXCELLENT Estimator !!! My wife brought the car to shop after the incident and Mike advised not to drive the car due to safety even though had been told to bring the car in early following week ! Of course we were very anxious and worried about the process thru insurance and rental car. Mike did a GREAT customer service to help us thru this experience. Many THANKS to you Mike ! You did a lot of extra steps to help us. Caliber did a wonderful work to fix the front and also the rear damage ( in previous hit and run). Will definitely come back to this shop location and look for Mike !!!

I got quotes from 2 local body shops that were insane. Not only were the quotes over 5 times what I ended up paying, they wanted to do full disassembly and keep the truck for "at least a week." So, I found Raymond Quadros and The Professionals. I sent him pictures first, but he said he really needed to see the truck, so I drove from Gilroy to San Jose. After looking at it, he explained how he would do the job, gave me an estimate on the spot and we set up a date for the work. He is very experienced and professional - after years of working in body shops, he's been on his own for 10 years. He showed up on time in his well-equipped van and proceeded to set up and get to work in our driveway. I have a little body work experience, and he was very detailed and thorough - taping, sanding, filling, sanding, sealing, priming, sanding, painting and clear coat. He was here for 9 hours. He mixes the color himself - the color match is perfect and the truck looks great! He only works mobile, so you have to have a place for him to do the work (he mentioned that apartments are out). He also doesn't have all the equipment of a body shop to disassemble vehicles and do extensive body work, but for minor body work and paint, he does an excellent job at a very reasonable price.

I found Raymond after checking Yelp and Nextdoor for mobile touch-up paint services. I had…read morescratches on my car, and he did a mobile tent respray on the damaged areas. The color match looks fine to the naked eye though not perfect, but for the price and convenience of on-site service it's a solid alternative to a body shop (which could cost thousands) or filing an insurance claim and paying a deductible that might raise your rates. If you want to reduce the appearance of scratches or make them nearly invisible, this is a good option to consider.

Big shoutout to Marco!…read more I've been in a few unfortunate situations such as hit and runs and hitting flying debris on the freeway in the past 4 years since buying the car new. The biggest concern I had when coming to repairing the damages is "Will it truly look the same as before the incident?" B2 Perfection answered that question through their work and attention to detail. My car looks brand new after coming out of repair every time and a big reason why I keep coming to B2 for my repairs is because of their team. Marco was my advisor at B2 for the 2 most recent incidents and he is probably one of the best repair advisors I've worked with. Super communicative throughout the process, giving me updates throughout in terms of the repair process, and being very responsive to answer any questions I had. He'll be 100% transparent if there's any delays and the reasoning behind them. His goal is to try to get you back in your car as soon as possible without rushing the repair. Prices are average to maybe a little higher than other shops but it makes up for it with quality and detail. I'll be recommending them to everyone I know who needs a repair shop!

I got into a car accident 9/25/25 and I use Geico as my insurance. The car was received by Michael…read moreJ's 9/26/24. This repair was done by Michael J's starting October. The damage was on front right side of my car which stemmed from the bumper all the way to the passenger side door. Front window and door was not damaged and there are more details for the repair but I wanted to mention the general idea of the work done. Another thing to note is I drive a 2022 Toyota Rav4 Prime which is relevant because its a recent car and no customizations so the parts should be easily available. Michael J's is also an approved repair shop by Geico so this process should have been seamless. The summary of this negative review is this: The repair took almost 60 days to be completed from dropping my car off at Michael J's lot to driving my car off. I had to pay over an additional month for my car rental which was over $1000. Many things to note but here are some highlights: -My car was in their lot for over 2 days and when the Geico adjuster finally made it onsite, they couldn't find the car which pushed back the adjuster to come back onsite. -I receive 3 calls about signing paperwork to start the work which was difficult since this was my only car. This took 2 days and by the 2nd day, I found out they could have just emailed me instead of have me sign it in person (the first calls they did not tell me this was an option) -I get a total of 2 calls back from Michael J's -I called 6 times asking for status checks -Michael J's had to submit 5 Supplemental estimate requests to Geico I've talked with 2 random shops around San Jose with 4+ star ratings about how much time the work should have taken and just focusing on the time alone, 4-6 weeks was the turnaround time. That's with a buffer for waiting for parts and some adjustments to the estimate. I did my due diligence as well calling the adjuster FOR the repair shop because the repair shop sent in a supplemental estimate that hasn't been addressed for days, I talked with both Geico and Michael J's to see if they can help with car rental or discounts, and I asked them for status checks 1-2 times a week after the first month of not receiving my car. AFTER all of this, I sent an email to both the representative handling my repair for Michael J's and Geico clarifying what happened throughout the whole process to determine if there was someone truly at fault and if so, which party. I sent this email on December, and as of today I have not received any replies from either parties. If anyone is curious about the whole endeavor and wants to know more details, you can ping me and I can send you the email I sent out to them. Overall, the 4.8 star rating for Michael J's is misleading and I will not return to do any repairs with them and would caution anyone planning to work with them to. P.S. I don't want to leave anything out but the person in charge of my repair offered 3 free detailing work for my car to offset the cost I paid for the rental car which I don't need.
