I must have hit a nerve with CCC because they contacted YELP and had my review taken down. Now that is Lame with a capital L....and even MORE reason to trash CCC. I live near another CCC and we used to go here ALL THE TIME for family dinner. But with CCC taking my review down, now I'm even less inclined to ever return. I suppose I could provide new reviews of my many many dining experiences over the years at CCC in Santa Monica, Woodland Hills, Encino, Northridge, etc., if that's the only way to get YELP to leave my reviews in place after the restaurant complains because they can't handle their customers' frustration with their take-out only policy... Gave this location a chance a few times... one time, I paid for double white meat but received only one portions worth. So they ripped me off with that one order. 2nd time again, I paid for double white meat for a wrap and was shorted. I gave it another shot and another failure, I saw my order sit on the rack for over 10 mins while the Asian employee tended to other people's orders. I even saw someone who ordered wayyy after me received their order before mine. All of the people that work there are always so friendly, always helpful, and really nice. A lot of times they remember my name, my daughters name and what we like to order. The GOAT of salads, in my opinion. The only thing I hate is that you can't go and sit or order at this place like you use to. Bums me out. The location is horrible because if parking but it's the best food so you put up with the ridiculousness of it all. Chinese chicken is still hands down the best around!!! I recently have been ordering online and picking up in the store as it's easier and I don't have to wait in line. I got a veggie wrap turned into a bowl with rice added to it as I can't eat the pita wrap. Everything was fresh, and I like how they placed the dressing on the side. I also got a mini cup of the roasted potatoes which are my favorite from here. I just want to begin by saying that I am extremely disappointed and appalled at the way the most recent situation was handled when an online order was completely messed up. Keep in mind that we are a local establishment with multiple staff members who love celebrating birthdays several times a year by ordering from our local Calif Chicken Cafe. To say that we know our order by heart would be an understatement. When the delivery was made and the mistake was discovered, we immediately brought it up with the establishment. Not only they were unhelpful but also very dismissive of the situation. The person "assisting" on the phone, named Asstrey , did not even attempt to fix the mistake, but instead kept on stating that it was our fault and continued to not take accountability for the mistake. It felt like they didn't care at all about making it right. This isn't about the money; it's about the principle and their unwillingness to correct their mistake. Just to make sure that the mistake was not on our end we tried to place the order the same way as we usually do with no issues and sure be told we made no mistake. I am usually not one to leave a bad review because we are all human and mistakes do happen, but the way she went about handling the situation was completely unprofessional. You've lost a longtime and loyal customer due to poor customer service. read more

Oh how I love this restaurants food! My friend just got back from Europe so I took her to lunch. This place is unbelievable! I had a chicken and rice bowl with Avocado and the way they make the avocado tastes so good. The food is well packaged. They are still on pandemic time because you can't eat inside. They have orders on tables and only employees are allowed inside. They are right on time though when they tell you that your order is ready. I love the food they make and will be back again. Ordered the combo wrap which came with a huge fresh wrap filled with chicken, veggies and avocado along with two pieces of chicken on the side.
