The one thing that stood out today was Lila (an employee) & this young man who also works with her out front stood out with her quality of work & great customer service. First time at this location, which is about 10 min. from my house. Plenty of parking, although locals know this is a crazy parking lot-sometimes the downstairs lot is easier if you can do stairs. Service was quick and helpful, lots of great choices, prices are more than fair for the fresh, sustainable fish. I went with the Cajun fish tacos plate with rice and pinto beans. There was enough fish on the tacos that I took a couple bites to make it easier to fold the taco. Great sauces, fresh veggies and pickled onions on top. The mahi mahi advertising kept getting to me so I decided to try the mahi mahi bowl California style. It was pretty good and filling! The chipotle aioli and pickled onions really made this bowl pop. I also enjoyed the avocado corn salsa. It made me feel like I was being kind of healthy. They have plethora of food items (e.g., grilled specialty, appetizers, tacos, sandwiches etc.) and after a few minutes I placed my grilled specialty order. I ordered a mango juice, grilled Shrimps and Sea Bass, both have a garlic butter flavor and a delicate white-flake texture. Served with diced zucchini and rosemary and brown rice. It was really fresh, tasty, flavorful, and stimulating to the palate. I really liked it. Drink was quite refreshing. Staff were attentive and professional. Service was on point. Prices vary but fair. On Friday February 27th, 2026, I went here to buy dinner around 4:30-5pm and i ordered in the kiosk Togo and then I went outside to do other stuff and I received a text that the food was ready, I went back in about 5 minutes after the text and I went to the front and there was an older man working who is a busser and I was asking for help and telling him my order was ready and he did not want to listen or help me and was extremely rude and at that point I had to speak to the manager and his name is Miguel Torres and he is the front store manager and man let me tell you he was wonderful! He was so patient and kind and fully listened to my situation and what occurred and did not rush me and truly cared about what I was saying and made me feel at ease and made a horrible experience into a wonderful one and that is very hard to find nowadays. CA Fish Grill continues to be a good fast casual option in the area. Seafood choices are pleasantly good also which includes Keto and Gluten free examples. Portion sizes seem to have gotten smaller since I previously reviewed them, but the pricing hasn't gone up too much. For under $20 you can get a good meal with a soft drink. Bottled wine is still available. The biggest change in recent times is their kiosk system which makes you feel that they really don't want any human interaction. A large touchscreen is available for your human-less ordering process ... and don't mind that they will ask for a "gratuity" before you check out with your credit card. I really don't know what would happen if you prefer to pay with cold cash. Maybe they'll just treat you back with the same human-less look. read more

Their food is always so damn fresh and enjoyable and the portions are so good. Most times, we always take some home. Today I got something different from their seasonal menu and it was a salmon power bowl. I also got the brussle sprouts and tomato with feta Mom got her classic fish and chips The food was fresh as always. Flavors were poppin and the fish was cooked to perfection. Everyone was very courteous and helpful and there was a couple of staff who came in and checked on us a couple times removing unused plates and napkins. I can't wait till the open up the other one in Hollywood. I always always always recommend California fish They have a great outside area that is a cool little vibe and break from the mall and busy energy. I found this place via reddit and I must say, what a nice place to eat lunch. Been jobless for about a week in the gig economy so I was looking for an affordable place to eat and CFG was 1. Close and 2. Had plenty of upvotes on the thread. I'd say it's like a nicer version of Chipotle but focused on seafood. The fish I had was really good, I had a combo plate of shrimp, fish, 2 sides and a salad for $15 after tax! That's a lot of food and a good deal in Los Angeles. The fish was tasty, and the staff was very friendly, especially this guy Lorenzo, who asked if I was doing alright and told me to just leave my tray. If I worked in fast casual I would not be as happy as this guy, idk how he does it but keep him forever, promote him, and give him the store! The inside was clean and the decor was nice.
