I don't know what the top of the counter was cleaned with but it smelled disgusting. Once we were seated the table wobbled it was uneven, then the table behind us had trash all over the floor. The highlight of this outing was the waitress, and the bartender that served my drink. As we were leaving, I noticed the floor looked like it had not been mopped in several days. Went back the other day to grab some dessert! I always get the chocolate souffle but someone recommended the butter cake so I decided to try it out. It's so good! It is warm and buttery and perfect with ice cream on top. Definitely leaves you wanting more and I will be back for sure! read more

It was almost like waiters did not have any training on how to bring food for appetizers first and then the meal second it was very interesting that they didn't do that. We had to ask for a check from another server and then we finally got our check. They were probably a little low on staffing, but I noticed that the busser was doing silverware when they could've been helping the servers. Came to CPK for pickup via doordash. It was quick and easy with the use of their takeout section which bypasses the growing line to get in. The pizza took about 20 min before pickup. California Pizza Kitchen is located in a bustling shopping center in Riverside Plaza, there is a lot of parking, however, you need to time your visit if you want a spot close as it is busy and parking can at times be sparse. On tonight's visit I kept it simple, a 4 cheese pizza with tomatoes and a Sam Addams beer, one. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and was friendly, helpful and attentive. She made recommendations, however I stuck with the pizza. The pizza arrived hot and somewhat undercooked in my opinion. The pizza was doughy and floppy. In my opinion it couldn't had about 2-3 more minutes in the pizza oven to be perfect. I don't send food back, so I ate what I was served. The pizza wasn't bad, other than being under done, and the ice cold beer really hit the spot after a long day of hard work. CPK still has some amazing menu standards. I come here a couple of times per month for lunch and sit at the bar. The server, Juan, is excellent. He is friendly and remembers my order, which is the same every visit. I love the Italian chopped salad (pictured). The ingredients are chopped thin and uniformly, the vinaigrette is never overly portioned and the plate and salad are ice cold-it's all in the execution. The bread comes with herbed olive oil. Decided to try CPK again. Nice day, so we asked to sit outside. We saw 3 groups of people outside. We were told they didn't have a server out there yet, and it would be 10-15 min wait. We decided to wait. Then we see food being taken to the outside tables. Did we get lied to? While we waited inside, our feet got stuck to the floor. Ugh! It's always a delight to stop by for some pizza. Their appetizers are so yummy, if you get a chance try their white corn guac!
