They serve ALLIGATOR BITES!! I've never had them but I live by you have 2 give EVERYTHING a chance!! The alligator bites were fried with orange citrus and kimchi; which is what I tasted..like Panda Express with kimchi!! PLUS.. the whole menu is under $20 and they got bottomless mimosas!! STAFF was exceptional, every staff greeted with a real smile. And++they serve my 2nd round without asking

Premier location at South Beach. The patio was perfect for people watching. We enjoyed the avocado toast with the addition of jamon serrano. The parfait had high quality ingredients and was the best I've had in a restaurant. Service was friendly and professional.

Call Me Cuban is a cute, Miami Beach-style spot with outdoor seating shared with a hotel. There is some indoor seating, but it seems to be part of the hotel's bar area. The atmosphere is nice, with a live music stage on the patio, though there wasn't any music playing when we visited. The location definitely gives off a vibey, beachside feel. Service was fast, and so was the food. However, the meal itself was just okay--not very flavorful and not particularly authentic. I ordered the lomo saltado, requesting medium rare, but it came out well done. The meat was dry and tough to chew. The sauce was too salty, which helped balance out the bland rice, but the beans were also underwhelming. Like most places in Miami, there's an automatic 20% tip added to the bill, and prices are on the higher side. But given the beachfront location and touristy setting, that's expected. The restaurant doesn't overpromise, and for what it is--a convenient, casual spot in a prime location--it does the job.

Absolutely a must!! Live music and the atmosphere was great. We stopped and grabbed a breakfast burrito mid morning on our trip and it was bomb. The service was great and the place was clean.

Came on a weekday morning and ordered the Burrito cubano and Cuban Criollo. Restaurant was pretty empty and we were immediately seated. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Beautiful scenery overlooking the beach area. Service: 2/5 While the waitress was friendly and helpful, the food took an incredibly long time to come out despite the restaurant not being packed. It took 49 minutes between when we placed our order and when our food arrived. Food: 4/5 This place seemed very promising because of the ambiance and views but the long wait for our food was very disappointing.

CARDOZO HOTEL RESTAURANT ON MIAMI BEACH STRIP. As with many of the historic Art Decco hotels in Miami Beach this restaurant has taken over what used to be the main hotel lobby. The main desk is now a bar and the lounge are is the bulk of seating. The best place to sit though is out front as the entrance facade is shaded by canopy's covering the chairs and tables. We stopped here to order something for breakfast and chose to split a Cubano Breakfast Burrito. Featuring a mixture of pork, rice spaces and a fried egg. It came with a delicious aioli and a little fresh salsa. We also ordered an iced coffee which came with milk in it and a Mojito. Which in Miami comes with a long shared slice of sugarcane core which looks like another straw at first glance. I really enjoyed the burrito but my wife thought it was so so. We both agreed the Mojito was really good. The service was another thing. Although the waiter wS polite, you see he was a little frazzled. The wait staff are forced to bus thier own tables and there were only 2 of them. So it was decidedly understaffed. I will have to deduct one star. Cheers.

Cuban tacos with chicken & cheese croquettes

Wow! This was one of the best restaurants we have tried on South Beach. The food was so good. I had chicken tacos and cheese croquettes and loved them both. My husband had the pork asado and he raved about it. This is located outside the Cordozo hotel which also has a very chic bar and restaurant inside. The service was good also.

We were walking down ocean drive and saw this place with a lovely outdoor seating area. We sat down and had a delicious meal- both our breakfasts really hit the spot and were unique! The service could have been a bit better considering we were one of the only tables sitting. But all-in-all this was a solid spot and I would recommend if you are looking for a good breakfast!

Sitting on the patio is lovely at night with the cool beach breeze blowing over. There's a DJ playing music which is a jam- unless you're seated right in front of the speakers where it is so loud you can't hear the person next to you speak. Pro tip to avoid these seats. The staff are lovely here but the kitchen was overwhelmed when we ate there (likely a temporary problem!) They were out of tuna, ceviche, some shrimp - seemed like half the menu. The entrees are pretty generously sized but we found that the smaller plates were more tasty. As for drinks- go for the mojitos Overall a decent experience but the kitchen was painfully slow. We were a big party but dinner lasted about 3 hours because we were just waiting for food. read more

*"Happy hour" is very misleading* Drinks are priced differently inside vs outside. Outside they are advertised at $6. We went inside for "happy hour" and the drinks on the happy hour menu (with no price listed) ended up being $15 each. Our server never let us know beforehand, despite explicitly asking for drinks on the happy hour menu. We left with a bill 3x more than what we were expecting. Food and drinks were great, just make sure you know what you're paying for beforehand. read more

We stopped by Call Me Cuban because the ambiance seemed perfect, not too loud but still lively enough to grab a bite and drinks. We already had dinner prior to coming in so we ordered pizza, guacamole, mixed chips to share. The pizza was subpar (obviously wasn't expecting anything great at a Cuban place so I didn't mind). The guacamole portion was generous and was served with Yuca chips which were delicious. We ordered additional mixed chips because we had a lot of guac leftover. The mixed chips came with tortilla, plantain, Yuca chips. Again, all the chips were crispy, not too oily, and paired great with guac. We ordered Mojitos which tasted good but couldn't really taste the alcohol. The biggest disappointment for us was the service. Our server ignored us multiple times but saw him tending to same tables nearby repeatedly. He made an ignorant comment given our race (not even relevant to the conversation, all we were doing was ordering our food), which ruined the experience for us. read more

if you enjoy paying $20 for a tito's, this is your spot. it'd do well if the food accompanied the cost, good atmosphere but i'd say if you plan on spending $600 for two people i'd recommend a Michelin star restaurant read more

The actual dinner was fine, the food was decent and the waiter was very sweet. However, when we went to the restroom, the front desk lady was extremely rude and hostile. She told my brother to leave immediately the building as he was waiting for me and my daughter to come out of the restroom. She called security and threatened to rough him up ("we are asking nicely" oh the irony). All he did was stand and wait for us. We all ate there and had every right to use the restroom. We are all still dumbfounded by the experience and don't understand what we did to deserve to be treated this way. I'm so confused. We will not be coming back. read more

Had a great time last week having dinner on the porch at Call Me Cuban. Enjoyed the music selection played by the DJ and the atmosphere is hip and comfortable. We started with appetizers or Guac and chips, calamari and alligator bites. They were all tasty and arrived at our table Within 15 mins of ordering as did our drinks our waitress knew the dishes and had no trouble describing them to us. Our table of 8 all seemed to enjoy their dinners: we had skirt steak, and shrimp and chicken. The churros were a sweet and tasty way to end the night. The pink glow of the porch lights and the DJ kept the mood festive. We all agreed it was a great night. read more

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Ocean Drive. Went to Miami Beach for a short vacation and went every night to have dinner to this wonderful place. Perfect atmosphere, the service provided by the servers is excellent, everyone was so kind and caring. The most important thing is the AMAZING food there! Best Croquetas and ceviches I've ever had. Must try "Vaca Frita" and the "Whole Snapper" served with cuban fried rice. Cocktails are fabulous, "Call Me Rita" has my heart. I'll be back soon! read more

I can't to Miami for my best friends birthday and randomly stopped by here for drinks. I had the "Call me Rita" by the way. The ambiance did it for me before even sitting down. Very dainty and pleasantly simple ("SOCIAL MEDIA WORTHY"). We only came for drinks after just eating. Had 4 rounds before Francisco (best server ever) recommended what food goes well with what we were eating. We were initially reluctant but WOW did he surprise us. The Ceviche and Steak made me emotional. I'm coming back and all y'all need to come here. It's the new and improved "Luca!" (If you know, you know) THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Great food! We had the Cuban Fried Rice and Vaca Frita. For dessert we got the churros. Drinks were also very good. The decor and ambiance was beautiful both inside and their outside patio! After we spent the day at the beach we wanted to grab an appetizer & drinks before heading back to FLL. I ordered their Mojito my SO Jay, had a Margarita. They had us both after one sip, the drinks were delicious however, the we decided the mojito was the winner so both ordered another one. Orlando was the host and he was awesome. He went table to table checking on each one to make sure we were enjoying our experience. Jay ordered the Passion Ardiente Ceviche and I ordered the Empanadas a la Habanera. Jay said it was the best Ceviche he ever had, EVER! I believe the empanadas were on par with my SIL's who made the best one I ever had. So the food and drinks here get 2 thumbs up! So why 4 stars? Our waiter was a sweetheart, attentive and informative on the menu. Our disappointment was at the end. We received the check while the waiter stood by with the CC reader we felt pressured to get the payment. Jay asked why the tip percentage on the reader showed only low % he was told we could customize if we scrolled up. Not thinking he gave a 20% tip. It wasn't until we left when I noticed a gratuity of 18% had been added to the check WHAT??? I was disappointed that he hadn't pointed that out to us when we questioned the %, I mean come on!!! My wonderful experience was lowered & left a bitter taste and that's a damn shame. read more

food was fine, great lounge singer. both the servers in our section completely ignored us while servicing the tables to either side of us, even who sat down after, sat there for about 20min with no water or anyone coming over. Eventually a server from a different section came over and helped us, and then our section's servers gave her dirty looks? noone ever came back to help us again. we could have left without paying if we wanted to, we were so invisible but my partner is a better man than me and hunted someone down to pay. read more

The service was bad, actually the waiter was fair to ok, but the bleach blonde older server consumed the air out of the room. She was grumpy, not engaging, and when she spoke her voice was so deep and off putting that it frightened me. The culinary offerings, reminds me of a hospital cafeteria from the 80s/90s . The worst part was the theming and lack of ambiance. It felt like a seedy nightclub or raggedy adult club you have to take a shower after leaving. I had to apologize to wife for such a poor experience. Bad husband! Also, I believe the operation was being managed or run by a small family of 4/5 people with no hospitality, culinary, or service experience. Finally, for $100, I never have to go there again. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. We decided to dine here for dinner, drawn in by the happy hour specials advertised by several restaurants on the strip. They offered a buy-one-get-one-free deal on drinks, for $15 each. I'm unsure who would pay the full price of $30, but the menu wasn't available to view the regular prices beforehand. Additionally, they offered a 50% discount on the rest of the menu. Given the inflated prices, this seemed like a good deal. Our waitress was exceptional in helping us choose the wings and shrimp combo. My husband inquired if the $35 combo included fries, and she replied that it didn't but offered to throw some in. The meal was excellent, with no complaints. However, when the bill arrived, the waitress initially presented it without the discount. She returned with an electronic device displaying the total, which my husband questioned. She assured him it was correct and would provide a copy of the bill later. Upon reviewing the bill, we noticed that the discount applied to the drinks was correct, but only 15% was taken off the shrimp and wings. The fries, which were supposed to be included, were listed as an $8 charge with no discount. Furthermore, a 20% gratuity was added. My husband pointed out the auto-gratuity, and the waitress claimed those funds were not given to her. She then suggested that we must have misheard the discount as 50% when it was actually 15%.
