When it comes to posting reviews, I'm not a big participant. So why post a review now...well my five star experience goes like this... In a nutshell, I have an older car where used tires make more financial sense than spending three times the cost to buy new ones for it. Suffice it to say, I purchased a used tire at a popular "Cheap Tires" downtown establishment. The used tire that I purchased was not only more costly than expected but turned out to be faulty and unbalanced to a point where violent shaking from my car occurred while driving on the freeway lanes. I returned my car the next day to the "Cheap Tires" place and they agreed a replacement was in order. Rather than go through the experience at "Cheap Tires" again for the remaining three tires that needed to be replaced, I decided to shop online for three new or used tires myself and have them installed separately. As a result, there were many to choose from but getting serious and reliable return calls from the sellers was another challenge until I finally got an early morning text from one seller who went by the name of Damir. Damir not only sold me three, like new, used tires for a great price but balanced and installed all three cheaper than it would have cost me at the popular "Cheap Tires" facility. Damir is a true professional and I could see as he properly balanced and checked each tire and rotated them to a point where my car feels safe, for the first time in a long time, like brand new tires had been put on it again. I truly experienced superior quality and professional service/support provided by Owner/Mechanic Damir Gojic at Campbell All Car. I mean Damir did all of this and fit me in his schedule before his morning work day had begun. When I arrived, it was clear he had plenty of cars to work on. My last minute and very early imposition for his time was a true testament of a mechanic that cares. Damir even rotated the one tire bought from "Cheap Tires" to properly match another tire of the same name. He didn't have to do that and most wouldn't have...he sold the tires to me far below his original asking price without hesitation. I really felt he went above and beyond and the only way to repay him for his kindness and true professionalism was to share my experience with all of you and highly recommend Campbell All Car for your automobile and tire needs. read more

Very refreshing to receive a diagnosis via a video showing me what was wrong with my Jeep and what was needed to get it running again. Damir knew the problem, did the work and I had my Jeep next day. I found this place to be dishonest and will prey on people who don't know cars. It wasn't urgent but I knew I needed my brake pads replaced because my mechanic friend noticed it was getting thin when he was rotating my wheels. It didn't squeak or make any noise or indicate any issues; my braking was always normal and smooth, so I wouldn't have known otherwise if it wasn't for my friend pointing it out. I happened to see All Car had a brake pad replacement deal on Groupon (there were other shops that had a better deal, but I wanted to support our local shop). I made an appointment, and when I got there they tried to convince me my rotors needed to be replaced also. I knew they were trying to upsell me because my mechanic friend had already told me they were perfect AND the fact my brake system works perfectly. I have since confirmed with another mechanic shop I do not need my rotors replaced. During these COVID times, I know service shops are impacted so instead of having my friend replace my brake pads, I was going to hire All Car -- but not if they're dishonest. read more

They actually close at 5pm when Google list them as 6pm. Yelp even list this as open 24 hours. Anyways, that's not why I'm giving this a 1 star. I came my first time 3 days before to get my oil change and the owner was a great guy... but then I came in 3 days after so that they can help me loosen up two bolts on my exhaust. It's connection the actual exhaust to the Y-pipe. Over time, this piece does tend to get hard to remove. I explained to the technician that I will be installing my own exhaust and all he needs to do is just loosen it for me because I don't have the necessary tools to do it with. I would need an air compressed impact wrench. The technician then walks out with two small little wrenches (I DON'T THINK HE BELIEVED ME WHEN I SAID IT'S HARD TO REMOVE). So then he tried for a second and then went back into the garage to drag out the air tanks to us the impact wrench... He then told me that this job would cost $120. For clarity, I asked him "One-hundred twenty, right?" and he said "Yes that's what Aleks told me". I told him no thanks, didn't want to argue because their business, their rates... but seriously $120 TO LOOSEN UP 2 BOLTS!!!!!! INSANE! I drove to my friend's house to borrow his large husky wrench. I was able to remove those two bolts in less than 2 minutes. That's less than the time that the technician spent to drag the air tanks out! read more

Alex is a very nice guy. He does a great job maintaining our work trucks and keeping his price really reasonable. He has helped me a-lot and doesn't have a sharp tooth like most mechanics. Not too long ago he did a fuel injection cleaning on our RV and it has been starting up much better ever since. I made an appointment with Campbell All Car for an oil change. At the scheduled time, I came in for a prompt, friendly intake. There was one mechanic on duty, working on another car (no one was waiting for it in reception). The mechanic stopped what he was doing to change my oil. He later showed me the drain plug which had some metal and suggested that I change my oil more often, and afterwards, showed me the drained oil indicating that it was also quite low. They also topped off the air in the tires and when leaving, actually went out to the street to block traffic and help me back out (Dell is busy here). Also, for those of you who care, they use real individual quarts of oil instead of bulk from a barrel. By the way, even though their license shows Campbell All Car and Smog, they don't do smog. I took my car here to get my rotors/brake pads replaced. Unfortunately a few months later my brakes were squeaking very loudly and I called in hopes that they can take a look at it and explain why it was making so much noise. I was told, there was new ownership and that Edin went out on vacation and if I had a receipt when clearly they had everything in their system and could look it up. Anyhow, had the breaks looked at and the "new owner" said everything was fine and there's nothing wrong w it. After a week, the breaks started to squeak loudly again. The fact that I paid close to $500 for no answers other than there's new ownership and everything is ok when clearly it's not, shows how this shop is willing to take advantage of a girl and not fix the problem. I took my car into a new shop and was told they used cheap parts (when Edin said they got it directly from Lexus - BS) for your brakes and because of the vehicle you have, they shouldn't of used these parts. What a lousy shop!! Do better and stop using cheap parts and do right by your customers. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My husband and I called a day in advance to make an appointment and we let the person on the phone know what kind of service we will be needing. We Even let him know what kind of car we were going to be bring in, to make sure they would able to work on the specific model. The guy on the phone set up our appointment the first time at 2pm. When we got there there was a young guy who said the mechanic was out and wouldn't be able to take care of us. My husband and I were understanding and decided to make an appointment for today at 9am. When we came the mechanic was very rude, was smoking, was on the phone most of the time, and would communicate with us by using hand signals?? It gets even worse. When he open up our hood all his cigarette ash got all over our clean engine. We then politely asked if he can not drop ash on our car. He looked at my husband with a very nasty look and said "I will try, but can't promise." He then said he couldn't do the oil change?? We were very upset by the way we were treated and left. I didn't get his name but my advice to this guy would be: get a new job and work on your poor customer service skills. read more

The DMV required that I get brake and light inspections performed on my car before I could register it. I had a hell of a time finding shops that were licensed to perform brake and light inspections let alone any that would do so on my custom build car. I was happy that All Car could help me out here after a week of searching for a shop. The two certificates (one for brakes, one for lights) were $7 each, the labor for the inspection was $300 which is, frankly, insane. Both brake and light inspection takes, at most, an hour and zero parts, repairs, or consumables are used. I even ended up adjusting the headlights myself while the mechanic just set the test rig in front of my car. If I hadn't just spent a week trying to find a shop that would do the inspections in the first place (and wasn't under a time constraint to complete my registration) I'd have walked until I could find a shop that would do the inspection at hourly shop rates. If you need a brake and light inspection, All Car can give you a hand but it's going to cost. Shop around if you can. read more

PLEASE BEWARE: RIPOFF ARTIST My car was due for a smog test this year. Based on the recommendation of a trusted mechanic, I went to get it smogged at All Car LLC. As it turned out, this was a huge mistake. Despite successfully passing smog tests for over 10 years in California, Mr. Singh informed me that he could not pass my car. The emissions were well below the threshold, but he refused to pass me because my catalytic converter "isn't California-approved". He claimed that the catalytic converter was after-market and that recent California regulations prohibit my particular catalytic converter. I have had many smog tests in California. My car has never failed an emissions test, nor has it ever failed a visual inspection. I bought my car in 2004 and have never changed the catalytic converter. And yet, suddenly, Mr. Singh was claiming that my car no longer met California regulations. To make matters worse, HE had passed my car once before. He could not, however, produce the model number for this "new" catalytic converter. He said that there were "signs of tamper" and used this as the basis for his assessment. If he suspected that I installed a new catalytic converter, he ought to have asked to see the paperwork for a California-approved catalytic converter and installation. Very "conveniently", he happened to have a catalytic converter (and he only had ONE left... imagine that) that would be perfect for my car. That part was $295. And because I am "such a good customer" (I took my car to him ONCE before for a smog test), he would do the whole catalytic converter cut-out and fresh install - including parts and labor - for $400. Given my track record of successful smog tests in California, I was suspicious of his claims. So I took my car to a smog test referee. As I suspected, my car passed with flying colors. The referee said that though the catalytic converter was federally-approved (not California-approved), there was no way to know when it was installed. If it was installed prior to 2009, it is grandfathered in. So they gave me a pass and let me go. At first glance, it may appear as though Mr. Singh simply didn't understand that catalytic converters installed prior to 2009 are acceptable in California. If this were the case, his mistake would amount to a misunderstanding at best and negligence at worst. Looking at the results of the test, however, he wrote that the catalytic converter showed signs of "tamper". As it turns out, California has a program that allows low-income persons to get a voucher towards the replacement of a catalytic converter if their car fails to pass because of it. One can ONLY qualify for this voucher if the catalytic converter does not show signs of tamper. I suspect that he was cleverly trying to deny us the option of going anywhere else to get the job done. Given that it is holiday season, I think Mr. Singh was trying to make a quick $400 off of what he thought were unsuspecting customers. He is very clever at his deceit. Do not trust this man or his business. He will rip you off and you might never know. Were it not for my curiosity and dedication, he could have ripped me off for much more than the cost of the initial smog test. read more

Mr. Singh may have an Indian accent, but he and his employees speak fluent Car. I have searched many a time, especially at shell repair stations, but have yet to find cheaper service. Also, both the proprietor and the technicians have proven their honesty, both by refusing unnecessary service I thought I had needed, and by diagnosing problems in often 5 minutes or less. Their diagnoses have turned out to be accurate. As an example of their competence, I had several different mechanics all diagnose the same problem on my car, usually taking about a half hour to an hour. The All Car technician got in the car with me and found the problem in 3 minutes. As an example of their prices, all of the other shops I mentioned above, even the Shell station, quoted me $300 to $400 for the service I had needed. Allcar charged me $150. No way that Singh rips anyone off. I had to have rebuilt heads when my timing belt broke. Not only was the quote 300 less than anyone else. Singh let me make payments. The car runs like a top and when I had another small problem it was fixed with no charge. I have used this auto shop since the late 90's (can't remember the name of nice guy that owned it) and always had good service. Then he sold it to Mr. Singh. I was bummed when it changed hands, but quickly formed a relationship with Mr. Singh that lasted for a decade, plus. When I called a few weeks ago for help with one of my comapny vehicles, I was surprised (albeit a little bummed) to hear that it changed hands yet again! But after having had maintenance done on 3 of my company vehicles over the last month, I have yet again formed a relationship with the new owners. Edin and his brother Alex are a couple of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. They are honest, knowledgeable, fair, and committed to providing the best auto care service that they can. I feel respected and comfortable that I'm in good hands. These guys are great. Hit them up if you need any maintenance, major repairs, or just a smog. He always made you feel like attention was being made to every detail too. I never felt like he did a bad job or would ever take advantage. If your car was towed here, be ready to be ripped off. The tow truck driver recommended this place, I should've known better to trust that... Once the car is off I told them what the problem was, and figured I'll let them fix it since the car is not running at all. Mr. Singh is very nice, but insisted on an inspection even though it was obvious that the problem was what I described. 45 min later, lo and behold he recommended that I replace what I said in the first place. The shocker came when I heard the price. It's a 45 min job and a $80 part online. Instead he charged me 2+ hours plus overpriced parts for a total of $550+ for the repair. This is something that could've easily been done for less than a hundred in under an hour and I'm an amateur. So the sad realization is that I was taken advantage of because my car was towed here. Had it been for a regular maintenance it may not be so bad. But boy oh boy did he stick it to you with the tow-tax. Mr Singh is nice guy and all. Just can't trust him. On behalf of a good colleague, this place simply sucks! Had an ignition switch issue on a 2004 Nissan Sentra (gray 4-door). After spending $245, same issue. All Mr. Singh did was replace a battery and air intake hose. I still have ignition issues and he refuses to fix the real issue. Stay away from this place!!! read more

I have been going to them for more than ten years now, and have brought them a half dozen different cars with countless problems ranging from the mild to the wild. I have always gotten the best service, both in terms of mechanical repair and customer engagement. I just went back to Singh for a problem, even though I now live more than 20 miles away, and it was worth the trip. He fixed up my car in just two hours, including diagnosis, and got me back on the road. Great. Love them. My 2003 Subaru Impreza blew the passenger side head gasket and my car was towed home. THe driver recommended All Car in Campbell. I took my heads and flywheel there for service. I picked them up 2 days later at the price of $500.00 (rebuilt heads with new stem seals, machined head, cleaned head thoroughly, machined flywheel). I am so happy with the service that I am going to be taking my gutted short block there for cleaning, inspection, honing, and machine head mating surface. Its a really small family owned shop. But I heard they specialize in SUbaru and that had me hooked. They even took some time out of their busy schedule to help me break free some of my coolant jacket case bolts. I was going to throw away the engine! For those of you that know cars or are mechanics (T L., this was prob your problem), this place is great! Singh takes the time to understand your needs and he delivers. Ill agree the price is a little steep. but for working with specialized and different density metals, these people can be relied upon. I was at a loss when my car died in the center lane of traffic this morning. Cisco at Dick's Automotive recommended All Car. I was leery, but am glad I took his advice. Singh was pleasant and thorough. He diagnosed the issue, and also let me know that my car had no oil. He said he'd take a look and see if there are leaks. And that if there is, I can either fix it or be certain to keep an eye on the oil level as engine repairs are costly. All fixed in a few hours. None of that "almost don, almost done" that other shops give you for a day and half! They are on their game here! And now I realize that this is "the little Indian shop" that I've heard good things about. Like having a regular physician, I learned it is important to have a regular mechanic.
