What a great find! Not too far from the Burbank Airport! My family stopped by last Sunday morning and now we are going to make it a weekend tradition! This restaurant is conveniently located in Burbank and has lots of easy parking. We were immediately greeted by a beautiful young lady who sat us right away. As we were deciding on what to order she brought us chips, delicious salsa and waters, she was so attentive our entire visit, I was very impressed. The prices were so reasonable we were all able to order our own plates! My garlic shrimp plate was so flavorful I even ate the shells, the steak was cooked to perfection, the chicken torta was so big and filling the kids loved it. The quesadilla was filled with carne asada and cheese perfect for dipping in the guacamole & sour cream. I also asked for a few other dishes on the side which were all so appetizing. I felt so comfortable I stood and enjoyed the nice and cool ambiance probably longer than I should have. The menu is full with lots of great choices! I'm looking forward to trying everything! They even had a beer and margarita bar! Great food, service and value, thank you Candilejas Restaurant! My new favorite Mexican and Mariscos Restaurant!

The food is amazing! I haven't tried everything on the menu, but it's my plan. Micheladas are fire - I can't drink just one! The molcajete is big enough to share with 2-3 people depending on your appetite. It's super savory, lots of meats, lots of juice, loads of flavor. The ceviche and aguachiles are also shareable( and tastes amazing with their chips. I can't decide which is my favorite. All I can say, I have yet to be disappointed by their food.

Let's just say I had mixed drinks the night before and needed something for my cruda! My bloodshot eyes got big when we drove up and saw the cartoon shrimp with a michelada in his hand.... "we've arrived." The ceviche, aguachiles, peel and eat shrimp, are so good! We also ordered Tostilocos Marineros, cause I've never seen that before. My only complaint is that they didn't carry Carta Blanca. And the menu is a little confusing, go by the take out menu instead.

Micheladas on another level at that. It's a small place, somewhat hidden but they have their own parking lot. A few tables inside & 3 tables outside. The menu consists of ceviche, campechanas, shrimp/fish tacos & a few other seafood dishes. I must say the star of the show is their fried shrimp taco (crunchy af = heaven). You get 2 per order & is served with rice & a small salad. They also give you a green salsa for your tacos but pour it over your rice for extra bangin rice! The grilled shrimp tacos come 3 per order with no sides. Order at the register & they will bring it out to you in to-go boxes. So don't jump to conclusions that they don't want you there when you get a to-go box, I mean unless you mobbed up with 4 thieves of joy you call bundles of joy running amok then perhaps it was a hint on behalf of allllll of us. With the summer months ahead, you will definitely find me here often with a fried shrimp taco in one hand & one of their bomb micheladas in the other! Your Homegirl, Violy

In LA this weekend 6/2026…read more Yesterday 6/27 we visited here for dinner, nice place food was good, they had a lot of snow crabs my boyfriend was cracking most legs and didn't have much meat in them. I decided to go with the Mongolian hot bar I piled on cabbage, all vegetables with one egg and house sauce. I tried the fruit the watermelon and cantaloupe wasn't sweet, however, the honeydew was really yummy. They have a boba drink station I tried the passion tea it was good. My boyfriend tried their desserts he liked the three layer mouse cake. I wasn't aware the Restaurant in LA charge a 10% service fee when I saw it on the bill I immediately was going to question it however, I googled first and basically the restaurants have to post it before charging you. When we walked in we didn't notice the signs on the wall if you don't pay attention you will miss the notice as you walk in. The 10% is to help the owner offset gratuity and healthcare for the employees so you have no choice but to pay it even if you didn't see the posting on the wall. They also have a sign to say a tip is not required because of the service fee.

The waitresses were so pleasant and attentive the entire time. Now let's talk about the food... 10/10. We ordered aguachiles, mango shrimp ceviche, tacos gobernador, camarones rancheros, and enchiladas. Every single dish was well seasoned, juicy, fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. Definitely worth coming back for.

A Hidden Gem for Fresh Seafood & Family Vibes!…read more We visited Marisco Corona as a party of six--four adults and two toddlers (under 3)--and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Despite it being a busy spot, we were seated right away, which is a huge plus when you have little ones in tow! The Drinks & Starters We started with the Horchata and the Pineapple Water (Agua de Piña). Both were refreshing, authentic, and clearly made with care. If you like traditional Mexican drinks, these are a must-try. The Food Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and felt incredibly fresh. A standout for us was the homemade corn tortillas--you can really taste the difference! Our table shared: * Mojarra & Pescado al Mojo de Ajo: Perfectly cooked and seasoned. * Lobster Plate: Succulent and generous. * Surf & Turf Tacos: These were a highlight! Loaded with carne asada and creamy guacamole, then topped with perfectly grilled shrimp. Each plate comes with rice, beans, and a side salad, but they are super flexible--we were able to substitute fries for the rice and beans on some plates, which is great for picky eaters or just a change of pace. Service & Atmosphere The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center, so parking was easy to find, which takes the stress out of the arrival. Even though the dining room was buzzing and busy, our waitress was incredibly nice and the entire staff was well-attended to our needs. Bottom line: If you're looking for delicious, flavorful seafood in a family-friendly environment, Marisco Corona is the place to go. We will definitely be back!

Because of that great experience, we decided to go back after a long time, this time on a Sunday. When we walked in, we immediately noticed a big difference . There were a lot of empty tables. We ordered shrimp cocktails (cócteles de camarón) and sat down. Unfortunately, this time the food was not good at all. The juice in the shrimp cocktail was extremely salty,so salty that I couldn't eat it. I went back to the counter and explained the issue. The girl helping us was very nice and explained that they cure the shrimp with salt since it's not cooked. She offered to remake it, which they did, and I appreciated the effort. However, even the remake just didn't taste good to me. I like my seafood to taste fresh, with a natural seafood flavor not overly salty or loaded with condiments. This experience made me wonder if something has changed at the restaurant, especially since it was so empty compared to our first visit. The staff was friendly and did try to make it right, which I appreciate, but overall this visit was disappointing. Since it's also out of our way and we only stopped because we happened to be in the area, I don't think we'll be coming back. It's unfortunate because our first experience was so much better.
