    Chips & Salsa add guacamole
    Shanoah N.

Just wanted a nice but reasonable sit down restaurant to eat and res our legs from a long day of walking. Got the ships and salsa and added guacamole. Which came out to $18 which is pretty expensive if you ask me. But this delicious cup of pozole was only $9. Weird service, the ladies at the hosted stand were nice, but our waiter/server was a bit odd, and kinda made things uncomfortable. The view was nice.

Stopped in fora happy hour drink. Their house special cocktail (pomfusion.) was overly sweet, mix heavy. Not a fan. he add3d a half shot to knock down the sweetness. Would not return.

I didn't try any food but may have to best time because the mojito i had was amazing. Wasn't overly sweet despite the sugar rim and the flavors were all there for my watermelon mojito. Definitely recommend

Quick easy lunch while shopping!!! Located in the Venetian shops, right on the canal. While having lunch it's a fun place to sit and people watch. Chips, salsa and guacamole are extra, but yummy. The spicy margarita was perfect not too spicy & refreshing. Our server actually suggested it. Giving enough of a pick up to get back out to our shopping trip. Our table split a set of tacos. Was a perfect way to taste the variety of tacos that were offered.

Cute Mexican restaurant at the square in the Venitian with yummy tacos and tasty sour margaritas! Perfect lunch watching the canal and gondolas!

Delicious food and wonderful food and great service! We loved the view of the gondolas too. Chips and guac were perfection, the flautas and tacos were delicious, and the salads were amazing!

The sangria and chips and guacamole were delicious! So much so, that we came back the following day for the same thing! The squash blossom was good as well.

Best Mexican food in Venice! The service was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. Definitely will come again.

Came to Cañonita (Spanish for small canon), for an after-show treat, and became a HUGE FAN. The eatery is adjacent to the Venetian indoor Gandola ride, has a beautiful terrace, plenty of televisions, and a very cordial Bartending team. I started with a drink that I've never had presented in this fashion. I ordered their Coco Piña and it was served in a coconut shell with a nice leaf accent. Watching the Bartender crack open the coconut was a treat, as well. This drink was exceptional and is highly recommended. I had the Cancun Ahi Tuna Ceviche (mango agua-chile, watermelon, almonds, sesame). This dish was well presented and all of the textures and flavors came together very nicely. For dessert, I had the Ancho-Chocolate Brownie (vanilla ice cream, candied pecans). I've never eaten a dessert more slowly than this one. I never wanted it to end and, once again, the presentation was artistic. Don't leave without enjoying this treat.

We were in a rush and couldn't enjoy our time but whatever little time we spent here, it was worth the time! Perfect location and delicious food. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have tried. The cilantro green rice was so refreshing. Loved the vegetarian burrito paired with squash blossom quesadillas - both so so good. Service was quick and being next to the canal, elevated our experience.

We ate at this restaurant last night & it was fabulous. Mom had the beef clauses & I had the salmon. We also had chips, salsa & guacamole. The food was amazing. The portions were big. The service was quick too & our server was attentive. We sat at a space next to the artificial canal where we witnessed the gondolas going by & they sang to everyone. The prices were reasonable for Vegas.

Great spot to visit while staying at The Venetian Hotel and Resort. The restaurant is on th same floor as the gondola rides, so it truly gave the feel of Italy. The service was great! Our food was hot and fresh! The chips and guac were wonderful! It tasted like freshly ripe avocados with love infused! A bit on the pricey side for drinks, but not a dealbreaker. I'd visit again.

This was the first time I ever had pazole, and I loved it. It was so flavorful and filling and had just enough kick (of spice). Their quesadilla was made with blue corn tortillas and it looked more like an empanada. It was tasty but it can certainly fill you up. I was looking forward to the tacos but was disappointed. The grilled tilapia was good but the steak didn't have much flavor even with the salsa. The service was excellent! Our server was very friendly and attentive. She was always smiling and she was very helpful. The restaurant was very clean and modern looking and we were lucky that we were seated next the canal with the gondolas passing by. It was a lovely place to eat.

Are dogs allowed on the outdoor seating?

There is no outdoor seating. This restaurant is located inside the Venetian Shops.

Is there any entree that is gluten free here? Does this restaurant use a shared fryer for things like flour taquitos that would cross contaminate gluten free corn tortilla chips? I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free.

Where is the best place to park, Palazzo or Venetian?

The venetian has free parking! I'm not to sure about Palazzo

Do they serve wine? If not, are you allowed to bring your own.

I hope you're kidding? You can't bring your own beverage into a restaurant.

Do you guys allow reservations of 8 people? If so, How do I schedule a reservation? Option on open table unavailable

try calling (702) 420-2561. Keep in mind the time difference if it is different from where you are.

What is the reserve happy hour?

3-6 pm and 9 pm to close

Are there heaters in/outside or anything for when it's cold? It looks like it's all open which is very pretty but wondering if it gets very cold inside when it's cold out also.

It's inside the Venetian so it is not cold

What's it like at night time? Do they turn down the lights and show fake night sky? Thank you

Not that I have ever seen, would be cool though maybe you should share your idea!

Since this hotel allows "dogs under 50 lbs with proper documentation" can a small dog be sitting on the outside area in a carrier while we eat?

    Service animals only.

I've had a run of regrettable Mexican food and even though this place wasn't horrible, it could have been a whole lot better. Again, another spot that charges for chips and salsa. As I always say, if you charge, the chips and salsa better be stellar. Before we get to that let me tell you about the service. I asked the server which lunch entrée she would recommend between the carnitas tacos and the chicken taquitos. She recommend the taquitos. Service was kinda cold and we really didn't feel completely welcome. We placed our order and the server said she would be right back with water, chips and salsa. A few minutes later she came back with water, but no chips. A few minutes after that, she returned with our meals, along with chips and salsa. Kinda tacky, the whole point of an appetizer is to have it before your meal. That said, without a doubt the best chips I've ever had. Light, crispy and a really hearty stone ground flavor, seriously, without a doubt the best chips. It was served with two salsas. The red was smoky with a little kick, but it needed salt. The green was tangy and by tangy I mean tart. It also needed salt, but in the end, it was just sour. Well, the taquitos were dry, unseasoned and not appetizing. There was basically 3 pieces cut in half to make 6 small taquitos. I ate 3, but should have stopped after the very first bite. I really regretted ordering them and was further disappointed by her terrible recommendation. The rice and beans also had no flavor, and in the end, I have had fast food Mexican that taste way better than this. I know the server knew I wasn't pleased when my plate was barely touched and I was further frustrated by a service fee added to my check, without explanation. Maybe this is a trend, Mexican restaurants adding penalties and fees to the check without warning. Not a good way to run a business.
