Had breakfast at the Capri in Meridian for the first time after enjoying the downtown location many times. I'm happy to say that the food and service was as good as the original. My only complaint is that they don't offer wifi. In this day and age, with no more newspapers to read with my coffee, that's a serious shortcoming. read more

I really like this restaurant. I had the eggs benedict today...not their finest moment. Capri's idea of eggs benedict leaves the ham out and on the side?????? I mentioned it to our waiter and he said that is how eggs benedict is supposed to be. Additionally, the cheese sauce quantity was twice as much as it should have been. In a time of struggling restaurants, it seems they could serve half as much ham, stack it with the egg and English muffin and cut the amount of sauce. They would save on costs and provide a better product. Service was good as always. read more

I had a dine in breakfast. I had ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy. I asked the waitress how they were she stated a lot of people order them. Not really a stellar recommendation but went with it. After all, most of the south wall of the restaurant was wrapped with a huge picture of biscuits and gravy stating they are "famous". So if the Capri is going to spend the $$ putting that kind of advertisement on the wall they must be good! WRONG! I do not recommend them. The biscuits were too moist birding on wet and the sausage gravy and next to no sausage and was relatively tasteless. That sums it up no flavor all the way around. Order something else. read more

The breakfast was ok. Nothing special. Eggs were overdone & covered in oil. No substituting the bacon/sausage for potatoes for people that don't eat meat so avoid combo meals because you'll end up paying more. Our servicer adjusted our check from combos to pancakes with sides of eggs after we asked but her friendliness went away. We won't be going back. When we walked in there was a seat yourself sign. There were about 3 groups ahead of our family of 4. We waited patiently until a table was available for us. It took about 10 minutes for a server to come get our drink order and by that time we were ready to order food as well. We waited about an hour. Watched people get seated, order, eat their meals and pay. Still no food. I called our server over to let him know we would be leaving as he told us ours would be the next order up. This restaurant is part of the Delsa's ice cream business. One of my husband's & my favorite diner- style restaurants. They have excellent hamburgers, & the fish-&-chips is another of my favorites. My husband loves their Rueben sandwich. The milkshakes are a good bet because Delsa's is in the restaurant, but they are so thick you need to eat them with a spoon (I prefer thinner). They serve mostly breakfast & lunch items, but have a small dinner menu. read more

So disappointed! I have been driving by this location for over 3 months anticipating how wonderful the food will be. I went in yesterday morning ( 1/25/21) at 10 am. After waiting for a dark haired woman server ( who seemed happier talking to a guy at the counter than helping me) I placed a half order of eggs benedict and a side of the well known cowboy potatoes. When I received my soon to happily devour breakfast I couldn't wait to dig in! New place in Meridian, well known in Boise, had to be amazing. As I cut into me egg benedict, what, my egg wasn't a runny poached egg goodness! It was cooked, completely over cooked, not poached!!! Super heavy cheese sauce. I love cheese sauce but this wasn't going to cover up my $ 9.45 overcooked egg! Ham was skimpy. Cowboy potatoes weren't mixed well but definitely flat as a pancake. Those were $5.95 as a side. $16.00 breakfast, a complained to my server about the egg. She didn't even offer to bring me a correctly made egg benedict. No " I am sorry", No " let me have a new one made for you", no discount, nothing. Went to lunch at the Capri on 5/23/2023. As we walked in we noticed a sign advertising specials. One of the specials was a ham and swiss burger with fries for $12.95. I choose that minus the special sauce. The waitress asked me if I wanted the regular fries, tot's or curly fries. picked the curly's. My friend also picked an item from the special board. Neither of us looked at the menu. My burger came out with sauce on it. I didn't mention it to the staff as it was only on one side and it wasn't a big deal. When we got the bill we noticed they had added $2.95 extra for the curly fries. No mention was made of this when the order was placed. So I talked to the person who seemed to be in charge. Told him about the sauce and the extra cost. He said you ate the burger and the fries so have a nice day. I mentioned that he didn't understand customer service. His response; "I've been doing this for 14 years" Guess that makes him an expert. He came back with a menu to show me the add on charge for the curly fries. I once again said I didn't look at the menu as I ordered from your special board. He called me a Karen. He must adhere to the philosophy of ' when you don't have a legitimate argument start calling names'. I then mentioned that a group of my friends meet regularly for breakfast and were planning on coming to the Capri. But not after this experience. He then said 'so what I don't need your business'. Needless to say I will never go back to the Capri.....and I will tell everyone I know about this kids attitude. I would give them negative stars if I could. read more

Ice cream was crunchy like it was freezer burned. Little to no topping and the place was empty on a 90F day. Will not go back!

I don't care for breakfast food so I ordered lunch. My friend ordered a philly cheesesteak sandwich which looked really good. I'm going to try that next time.
