3 Piece Fish & Chips Basket

One of my favorite food trucks! They travel all over the state but have been in Everett at the Beverly Food Truck Park a few times. We finally had a chance to stop by for dinner a little while back and it was AMAZING! I got the Gourmet Cod Sandwich Basket and my husband got the 3 Piece Fish & Chips Basket. He really enjoyed his food, the tartar sauce was delicious! My sandwich was huge! It had not one, but TWO huge pieces of fish and was probably the best fish sandwich I've had in years. The fries were also phenomenal and I'm kind of picky about fries. My only gripe was mine didn't come with tartar, I'll be sure to get that next time! We got food with family and ordered nearly one of everything. The Fritters were delicious, my brother really enjoyed his Clam Chowder, someone got the Codking Sandwich that came with candied jalapeños and loved that as well. Not a single person went home hungry or disappointed in their meal. The service was great, everyone was friendly, and we got our food fairly quickly after ordering! I hope they come back to Everett soon, I've been craving another sandwich!

Most beautiful food truck in Bellingham!

The most beautiful food truck I've ever seen. Shades of ocean blue . Captain Cod prides itself on serving authentic wild caught cod from Alaska. It is truly delicious. It is prepared immediately after your order is placed assuring that it is super fresh. The servers are super friendly and enthusiastic They also make special tartar sauce and a super saracha sauce truly extraordinary!

    Gluten free fish and chips!

Best fish and chips I've ever had! They move around a lot, but if you run across them, try! You won't be sorry

This evening we went to Roe for a family dinner. Hidden on the edge of downtown Bellingham this…read morehidden spot serves up creative seafood dishes using all farm to table ingredients. We came in for an early dinner so we were really able to enjoy the rustic ambience of this restaurant all by ourselves. As soon as we sat down the waitress was attentive and ready to take our order. I order the garden party off their cocktail menu. Snap pea gin, bay leaf vermouth, genepy, saline and pea shoot? I really was feeling adventurous with this one, a regrettable mistake. The first sip I thought I was drinking sea water with a touch of olive oil in it. I never send back drinks although I was close with this one, I sipped it throughout my meal. One critique I have about the cocktail menu is that every drink was over complicated with many exotic ingredients. There was nothing for someone who was looking for a simple craft cocktail. The table shared the Strawberry Panzanella, and once again I was accosted by an overwhelming salty and sour flavor. A traditional Italian salad consisting of grilled strawberry and focaccia croutons. The lemon vinaigrette dressing on this salad was salty and sour, and very overpowering. Unlike my drink we were unable to finish this one. I ordered the Roe Burger, which I had been really looking forward to trying, thankfully this one did not disappoint. Two smash burger patties that were thin, crispy, and cooked to perfection with slices of cheddar cheese on top are then placed on a bed of classic burger toppings. Tomato, pickles, and iceberg lettuce. This burger was served with crispy fries and garlic aioli. After my fist few bites my mind was beginning to change about this restaurant. We also shared the Reuben Croquettes. A super creative and unique spin on one of my personal favorite appetizers. These little fried pocket were filled with a delicious mixture of cheese and shredded corned beef. They were garnished with a small slice of pickle which was a great touch. For dessert we decided to try the hazelnut torte which was fantastic. It had a nice crisp outer layer with a soft gooey center. Lovely flavor and texture that ended our experience at Roe wonderfully. In conclusion our experience at Roe had its ups and downs but I left feeling satisfied. If you are looking for a unique culinary experience I would give this restaurant a try.

The dining room was elegant yet cozy, with great lighting. The staff was also very friendly and our waiter was very helpful in aiding our choice. We ordered the Focaccia bread, the salmon momtadito and the tonnarelli as our entree. The focaccia was the only dissapointing item as it was very basic in my opinion, which isn't bad but just nothing exciting to write about. The appetizer, the salmon montadito, was probably my favorite item of the night. It was served on focaccia bread and drizzled with a truffle honey butter and sat upon a mascarapone yogurt. It was elegant and it was incredibly flavorful. The sweetness of the truffle honey butter was a great contrast to the salmon itself, and all melted together to make an exceptional appetizer. The tonnarelli was a pasta dish we split and was also very tasty. The pasta itself was a thicker spaghetti like pasta served with plenty of crab. It was tasty and it satisfied and I'd likely order it again as I will be back when my sister's visit. All in all, a great restaurant to spend a nice night right in the heart of Bellingham!

Upon entering ( at 4:30pm), I was struck by how many people were there; it was almost full. We were quickly greeted by Mikey (aka; "Yonzo"). Very friendly, very helpful. We received our drinks promptly and ordered food. The fish & chips were generous and tasty. The breading was unusual, but was again, tasty. I couldn't determine what it was, but I would order it again. The bowl of clam chowder was very generous and again "unusual". Plenty of clams and thyme. I would order it again. I went to the bar to request another beer and buy some pull tabs. I noticed the wall of pull tabs was entirely covered with Christmas decorations. When asked, Yonzo informed me that the new owner had not yet completed the process to offer pull tabs. Apparently, a new owner arrived in April of this year (2024). It was interesting to note that the entire place looked to be cleaner, with a very upbeat and friendly atmosphere. In all, we enjoyed the food and had a great time in the "new" tavern. We will be back. After all, this tavern is a piece of Bellingham's history.
