What happened to this place??!! This used to be a really nice restaurant, but now...not so much. Calamari = Super small rings. Meh. A lot was missing here. Herb/Oil w/bread = Ok, how can you mess that up, but what happened to the server making a production about putting the oil on the plate for you? Not any more. Serve yourself please and thank you. Drink refills = Hope you're not thirsty. Fettuccini Alfredo (side) = I guess they forgot what Al dente means? Super over-cooked and mushy pasta. Oh, and gritty? What kind of weird can parm was used here? Just gross. To top it off, after the meal was over and we were packing up, this "mystery mud-mush" was on the bottom of our bread basket. It resembles someone's previous chocolate cake order, so how well are they really cleaning everything between guests? The bill was well over $100 for 3 people, no alcohol, before tip. We love this place for takeout!! I can't imagine eating there in person, I bet it would be even better!! Their takeout does take quite a bit of time around dinner time, so plan ahead if you do that. We have had a few different dishes from there, but these were our favs! The chicken Marsala was topped with mushrooms and went perfect with the fettuccine. The lemon butter sauce on that Rosa Maria omg!! We also got a side of kale not pictured, and that with the sauce was amazing. Their free bread and oil is lovely. Their cannoli cake is big and filling. Their Caesar salad is also a fav and comes with every meal!! A must try. read more

So it was Saturday evening, 6 month's anniversary with Katrina. I wanted to go to a nice place and relax, reflect and enjoy the evening with someone I Love. Carrabba's fit the bill. Nice elegant Italian style vibe. Service was excellent as expected. Everything from the Bread Tower appetizer to the peanut butter brownie with walnut brittle was fresh, flavorful and worth every penny. I will have to step it up for one year anniversary, no problem. My friend and I hadn't been to a Carrabba's in about 15 years and we were excited to see this location near our hotel. Nothing beats the bread, dipped in oil and fresh herbs and was 90٪ of the reason we went. The staff alone was so friendly, I want to go back just for that reason. Our waiter, Ray, made recommendations that were absolutely on point and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Chicken Bryan... which is a must. The tang of the goat cheese with the sweetness of sun dried tomatoes is divine. My friend ordered the 16 oz Ribeye which was cooked to perfection. Ingredients were fresh and bright. Everything about our visit was not good. We had a 12 top with 2 servers, yet we waited forever for service. Our bar drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. I know the server doesn't make the drinks, but there was also no sense of urgency or communication. The appetizers were ordered after the bar drinks, yet came out before the drinks. One of our servers had such a soft voice, like she was whispering. We repeatedly had to ask her to repeat herself. The other server was friendly and more attentive. The food is absolutely not worth the money. My husband and I both got different plates of stuffed ravioli, both had barely any filling and had very little flavor. Went for their 4-course wine dinner, food was amazing. the table setting - napkin, 2 forks, steak knife, and a spoon. Service could use some improvement. after i used a fork on the arancini appetizer, i left it on the plate as the server was collecting them, she said " you need to keep your fork, otherwise, you will use one fork for the rest of the meals." the people at our table told me i just got chastised... This visit deserved 10 stars! 4 of us gathered on September 5 to honor the birthday of a family member no longer here with us. Our server- Aubrey- was a total joy! I'd adopt her if I could! My boyfriend and I went to Carrabba's Saturday night for our six month dating anniversary. We wanted someplace nice but not too fancy. Carrabba's always fits that bill. We were seated very quickly. The restaurant was not very busy. Our drinks were taken quickly, and our server arrived quickly as well. I will say the service was a little bit slower, but we noticed that our waitress was also the bartender. Thankfully, as I said it wasn't busy so it wasn't a horrible amount of wait time between service. We ordered the Tuscan bread tower which comes with a marinara that resembles salsa. It is good, but I preferred the bread with the oil and seasonings that comes with your sourdough. Just a personal preference. I ordered the chicken Parmesan for my entrée and my Boyfriend ordered the pollo Rosa Maria with a ravioli side (can't remember the name). After we had eaten our fill of the entrées, my boyfriend decided he wanted the peanut butter brownie dessert. It is very decadent and very rich. I was able to be part of this experience last minute on my own fault but I'm so glad the had the accommodations for me. The first corse was delicious, the sauce wasn't too tart or too buttery, the perfect texture to dip your left over bread in. The pasta was amazing as well the meatballs were very tender and juicy but didn't fall apart on you. The 22 oz Pork Chop was a monster but the flavor was absolutely delicious and rue cauliflower mash was a great pairing. And dessert was worth over stuffing my self for. Food was decent. Service was extremely (excessively) inattentive, especially considering the place was not very busy. I was pretty sure our waitress had gone out to lunch a couple of times. We only go here because my sister-in-law chooses it for every special occasion, otherwise I wouldn't bother. It has been going downhill for years. I'm not sure that "stink of death" counts as ambiance but that's what I've got. It seems to alternate between decent food/bad service and bad food/decent service. Food was okay. The service was terrible, our waitress, Emma, seemed like she was high and couldn't understand what we were saying to her; she was very slow at comprehending. I gave her my empty bowl of soup to get it off the table and have more room. She seemed annoyed and just put it on top of the booth bench beside where my husband was sitting. Carrabba's had an off night. To be fair, there were many large parties seated on a Saturday night. But I've never run into significant issues with them ever before. Cold food served, soups and salads not delivered until after the main course arrived, kitchen error with the steak size, slow refills... This is not indicative of Carrabba's. We Came Hungry, Left Traumatized If I could give this place zero stars, I would--and even that feels generous. Let's start with the only person who didn't ruin the night: our waitress. Poor thing looked like she was one wrong move away from a panic attack. Probably new, and clearly not the problem. Everything else? A culinary crime scene. We ordered the so-called "Mama Soup," which claimed to be spicy. It wasn't. It was bland, lukewarm, and forgettable--until my son bit into a chicken bone. That was the highlight. Then came the entrees. My son's lobster ravioli smelled like cat food and tasted worse. We expected lobster on top. Nope--pureed mystery meat inside that tasted like it came straight from a can. My daughter's Mezzaluna was no better. Supposed to have chicken? It did--pureed and flavorless, like something you'd feed a dog if you hated it. I had the linguine florentine with chicken. It tasted like someone dumped an entire bottle of lemon juice in it and forgot the butter. One bite was all I could stomach. And here's the kicker: none of us touched more than a bite of any dish. The soup, the pasta, the ravioli--every plate sat there nearly full, because the food was that revolting. Yes, we all tried each other's meals, hoping one might be salvageable. Nope. It was a parade of disappointment. We sat there, stunned, waiting for the check. Then the manager shows up. Let me be clear: we usually dine at a real Italian restaurant--not Olive Garden, though even Olive Garden would wipe the floor with this place. The manager asked how our meal was, and when we told him, he looked at us like we didn't belong there. I mentioned our usual spot, and he smugly said, "Oh, you must just get chicken parm." No, sir--we've had their entire menu and brunch and never left disappointed. He glanced at my untouched plate and said, "Give it here, I'll take it off," then snatched it like he was doing me a favor. Our waitress returned with the check, visibly shaken. I don't remember the last time I was at Carrabba's but we were in town for a photoshoot and wanted some Italian food. We got seated right away but lost a star because we waited a while before server came by. Restaurant did not seem too busy for a Saturday evening. We ordered the Burrata as appetizer and it was delish, not gonna lie we ordered 2 for three girls. You can never go wrong with the warm bread and garlic/Italian herb oil the serve you when you get seated, so good! For the main meal I got the Linguine Positano with chicken which was very flavorful and delish but it tasted just like normal spaghetti with chunky sauce ( I should have added way more cheese!) . I accidentally left my credit card there and went the next day to get it and the manager came out and gave it to me and she was so nice and friendly, when I was leaving another employee called me by my name and said goodbye. Listen. I've been to 6 different Carrabba's in different cities/states but this one is home. The staff is everything especially since the new management took over! The food itself is good. However, this location has really tanked in customer service. We used to frequent here monthly for over a decade. The last few times we've been in, we have had absolute horrible service. It wasn't busy either. After being seated, it was 15 minutes before anyone came over. Managers and employees were over at the food pick up area just laughing and talking. There were ample servers and only 5 tables seated while we were there. It took another 10 minutes to get refills even though all of us had empty glasses for about 15 minutes. We weren't checked on. 2 of the drink refills were incorrect. Again, it wasn't busy in there, with plenty of servers not doing anything. Corporate needs to get involved and do a overhaul with staff training. read more

Service for sure, i guess they are not used to happy hour or just not paying attention to the customers. Twice we had to go to the bar from our seat and order a drink, finally the bartender finally came up the rescue. Having our family Sunday lunch here. My first time to try this Carrabba's in Plano. We ordered Fettuccine Weesie and Calamari appetizer. It's hand-breaded and served with marinara sauce. Fettuccini Alfredo with sautéed shrimp, scallions, garlic and mushrooms in their white wine lemon butter sauce. The pasta was cooked aldente. Fresh ingredients added and made it delicious.. But they forgot to serve our salad and soup. The salad is not free. They served it after we ate the main dish.. Serving portions are average for the $$ price code.
