This visit was average and mostly due to the food and drinks. I always seem to have issues with the bartender getting my drink correct or looking like the photo. My margarita was good, but it didn't look or taste like guava. Also I wanted brussel sprouts and they were out. The cheddar bay biscuits could have been better and softer. Service was good. Elijah is always pleasant and sweet. HE works HARD! I will give him 4 STARS Shrimp Scampi Linguini was tasty. I did it enjoy it and would eat it again. 4 STARS Ultimate Feast was just ok. The lobster didn't look that appealing. 3 STARS Ambiance was fine they had some Christmas decor up. Overall visit was decent. read more

This visit to Red Lobster honestly surprised me in the best way. I hadn't been in years because, in my opinion, the quality had been going downhill--but this experience felt like a turnaround. The staff was extremely accommodating with our seating, and everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was AMAZING--attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant was calming and clean, making it easy to relax and truly enjoy the experience. The food was the real highlight. We ordered the lobster bisque, jambalaya, and linguini, and every dish was flavorful, fresh, and served hot. Everything tasted great and exceeded my expectations. I'm giving 4 stars because I'd love to see this level of service and food quality stay consistent on future visits--but based on this experience, I'm definitely open to coming back again. read more

First time back in 20 years. I used to go all the time in high school. I went away for college and Red Lobster didnt cross my mind. I came back to try their seafood boil and for prices, cant be beat! $45 mariners seafood boil with a lobster tail, half a pound of crab legs, ton of shrimps, corn and potato. At other seafood places, they would have charged $7 alone for the potato and corn. The cheese biscuits were also a hit! I came during happy hour and they had $2 off appetizers. I got their mushroom stuffed seafood. Everything was delicious. The only down side is they didnt have any crab leg crack tool for me. I was handed the crab meat picker but I couldnt crack the big heavier claws open. I took it home and use the tool I had at home instead. Next time, Im going to come prepared. read more

The fastest thing our table received was our soda. Our other drinks and appetizer took at least 30 minutes to arrive. We waited over an hour and still never received our food. I haven't been to Red Lobster in quite a while. I use to really enjoy going there for a good meal but this RL was a bad experience. We got there at a little after 6pm on 5/11/26. My wife and I after the waitress came we gave her our order. She delivered the cheddar bay biscuit. That was good! Then it went downhill from there. I was looking forward to the All you can eat shrimp. After an hour wait to get our food, I didn't get it as I ordered it. So I asked to have the Walt's shrimp. When that came it was different then years ago. Breading was different and the taste wasn't like years ago. The "marry me shrimp" was crazy and overcook. Asked for water when I placed my order. Never came. Overall it took so long to get anything. RL has really gone downhill. read more

First we got seated and after 20 minutes we had to walk over to the bartender to ask for a manager. The bartender went to find the manager and just ended up waiting on us. The manager never came to talk to us. The bartender tried his hardest to wait our table and take care of the bar. My husband ordered shrimp and they brought him salmon so he had to wait even longer. Then the manager brought out a live lobster to entertain the kids in our section since they had all been sitting there forever and he completely bypassed our table ignoring my 4 year old grandson! Went to every table with kids but ours! The bartender even had to apologize for his manager's lack of response to us. Ridiculous! As long as James is the manager in Plano, we will not be returning! Thanks for ruining Father's Day dinner! BTW the waiter we were supposed to have in that section was literally in the back sitting down. It was his first week there and was apparently untrained. Red lobster is like that person that you've dated in your life that treats you real bad and you leave and you don't come back for a long time but then you do and they treat you bad all over again. And that my friends is the story of my love affair with Red Lobster. My grandson turned 13 yesterday and chose red lobster for his birthday dinner. We had gone several times to the vantage point location in Dallas. However, their service is pretty bad so we decided to try the Plano location. I wished out that I could say the Plano location had better service, but I was I can say is that they were friendlier. We were greeted professionally and promptly, and set within about five minutes. Our server came to the table almost immediately, and took our drink order and brought fresh biscuits. She seemed pretty good until she took our order and completely ignored my grandson's order and we had to call her back as she was walking away. Simple mistake, maybe... When the order came out she completely forgot my grandson's side dish. We told her and she said she'd be right back. 20 minutes passed and we flagged down another wait person who said she would get her for us. Another 7 minutes passed and she finally returned and spoke with every other table before she came back to ours. We had all finished eating by then and then she said she had forgotten and would be back. 4 minutes later she came back with his side. Accident? I don't think so. We came for a lobster fest visit. My kids are super excited by the lobster tank up front and I wanted some of those addictive biscuits. Overall it was a pretty typical experience for a restaurant like this. The lobster was good enough, the biscuits were amazing, the hush puppies were great, and the service was minimally acceptable. I did not like the brussel sprouts and would not recommend those. It's been a long time since I've been to a RL so I was surprised that meals don't come with salads anymore. 3 stars is probably a little bit on the generous side, but reviews for chain restaurants are tough. You know exactly what you're getting into when you go to the seafood Applebees. You're going to be surrounded by the senior crowd, your server is going to get your order wrong because it's her first week on the job, half of your food probably came out of the microwave, but it'll have that familiar taste you were looking for. We probably won't come back more than once a year, but it's a reasonable place to take the family if it's your thing. If I could give it less I would. I get that it's Red Lobster and all, but when you drop $140 on dinner you expect it to be edible. We started with cheese sticks - as you can see from the picture they are BUSTED. All cheese was on the outside and there were only 4! These aren't huge - other pics on here have varying numbers of sticks, but at least eight. Waitress refused to believe it and said 4 was the order and that's the way they come. 4 regular mozzarella sticks for $10 is robbery. We then got three Crabfest plates for $28.99 each - crab was overcooked (common theme) to the point where the meat was hammered. Butter was not butter and had a weird aftertaste and was cold and congealed already. Things were subbed for sides that we didn't ask for because they were out of things and didn't communicate anything to us. Waitress brought the check for $115 and we were overcharged by about $8. I asked to speak to manager multiple times and was finally told one was not on shift. It was a Friday night at 5:30pm! I put down $140 and waitress took off and never came back. She legit left as they could not find her. We left and are NEVER coming back. Reached out to corporate and they honestly don't care. Save your money. read more

Stop in every once in a while to relive the childhood dream when this place was booming. Though not as busy as it once was the food is consistent as it always was. We usually get the snow crab as the price is right compared to other restaurants. I add a lobster tail sometimes but it's usually in the small side. Maybe the ones in the tank is a better option, i don't know. The butter biscuits is where it's at, could eat those all day. The casual feel of the resturant is nice when you want to have an easy night out. Service could be better as service is slow even when it's not busy, but the waiters are always friendly. They were out of crab crackers which is hard to understand as they are a sea food joint. I'll go back I'm sure. read more

I don't have much to say in regards to this location. The service was extremely slow for a 5 pm dinner on a Thursday. We ordered our regular shrimp scampi and lobsters and very much enjoyed them. Took my Mom here for lunch on Mother's Day. Luckily they took reservations, so there wasn't a wait for a table. We were there early enough (11:45) that there wasn't crowd, and the service was fast and good. Joseph did a great job -- he was personable, funny, and brought our food just the way we ordered it, even though he didn't write anything down. I'm always leery of servers who don't write down orders, but he's one of the exceptions. The food was delicious. My salmon was a little crispy on the thin end of the filet, but it was still delicious. Joseph checked on us regularly but not so often that it was an intrusion. The crowd really started filling the restaurant as we were finishing, so it was a very nice, quiet meal with a great staff taking care of us. Just what my Mom needed! read more

We came every week. 1st you got rid of the Lobster Bisque, the service is their biggest issue. I waited 15 minutes for my server to bring me a glass of tea & he's the one who seated me! I'd been there an hour already! Bill was $58.?? I was like WTH? It said $18.95. I feel like it was a bait & switch I saw no additional costs listed on the menu. I was there last Sunday service was better than normal, but I won't be back! I guess it was the manager came by asked if everything was OK I gave her a look like are you kidding? She apologized for the long wait only had 2 cooks today. It was after 2 pm but that sounds like a you problem not a me problem. We went to the location at 3501 Central Expy in Plano. The food was good, but the lobster seemed a bit undercooked or something. Some of it was mushy. Biscuits were yummy as usual. The crab queso was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it!! Our server was very attentive. The issue we had with the atmosphere was the flies! Where did they all come from? It's not very pleasant to eat a nice meal while you're constantly waving away flies! I've never eaten at a Red Lobster with this issue. However, I see another review for this particular location where someone else complained about the flies. It must be an ongoing problem. For this reason, I would likely choose a different location. I'm trying not to think about where they might be breeding. Yikes! read more

My husband and I recently ate Sunday lunch at the Plano location of Red Lobster because we had a gift card. The restaurant was virtually empty at 1:00 on Sunday, a time when in years past there could be up to an hour wait to be seated. There were no patrons waiting in the lobby. The young man at the host counter never spoke, never smiled - no greeting whatsoever. He led us to a table to be seated and hastily walked off. We quickly realized the table was dirty and had not be bussed after the party who was seated there last. We mentioned it to our waitress, who did apologize and said, "Oh, goodness. It looks like they didn't clean this table last night," indicating no one had noticed a dirty table for a long time. Our favorite popcorn shrimp has been removed from the weekend menu and is only available as a lunch portion on weekdays. Big disappointment. Another couple was seated next to us shortly after we sat down, and they got their bill and left before we ever got our food. Our order had been "lost." Shocking since there were only six other tables in the entire restaurant with people sitting at them. The iced tea was at least a day old and undrinkable. The food was okay, not nearly as good as we've had there before. It is easy - and sad - to see why Red Lobster is closing locations all over DFW. The quality of food was mediocre, the service was lacking, best sellers are gone from the menu, and management does not seem to care. I suppose that was our last visit to Red Lobster. read more

First time to this location on a Sunday at 5 pm and the place was quite busy with a line of folks (good sign!) The host chose to answer the phone instead of seating customers. Maybe they are understaffed? We wanted to go and the hostess directed us to the bar with a menu. We ordered shrimp linguini family dinner, stuffed mushrooms and garlic white wine mussels. Since we are concerned the pastas might be soggy for the 35 mins drive home and requested the sauce on the side. We were told it would be $2.75. Food came out in around 15 mins. There were some sauce on the bag from the mussels and everything else was intact. We ended up toasting the cheddar biscuits and heated up the rest. Everything turned out good and the biscuits went well with the mussels too. We only wished the portion of the mushrooms were bigger as it's $10 for 6 small stuffed mushrooms. read more

Today marked 1,year anniversary of dad going to heaven. Since Red Lobster was his fave restaurant, a friend of mine treated me for dinner. The Shrimp Fesr was my meal of choice and boy, it did not disappoint! Since I always eat dessert first, I started with the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake and YumO!! Delicious! My 3 shrimp entrees were: shrimp linguini, grilled garlic shrimp and Walt's shrimp! I was truly in shrimp heaven! Coupled with a Caesar salad and steamed broccoli---OMGee! Well the customer service was trash ( in the to go department) waited 5 minutes had to stop someone for a menu then said she would give me a minute. That turned out to be 10 minutes had to stop someone else to place the order, then waited over 30 minutes for my order which was one the boil bags(2) one of each kind to top it off I had to ask about my order to receive it. The potato's in bag was HARD in the middle, it was still hot when I made it home overall the seafood bags was okay. I know they have to get it together with it begin new to the menu but the customer service was a 0 for me. read more

Our group made reservations with the manager weeks ago. Unfortunately for us, that manager was promoted to another location and wasn't there any more. So even though we had confirmed before, when we arrived they had given our room to another party. They eventually seated us in the main part of the restaurant, but it took a while. The restaurant is clean, and the staff we dealt with were all nice. The orders were slow coming out, and several items were wrong or missing - but everything eventually was corrected. Our server was really sweet, but I'm guessing she was seated with multiple tables at the same time. She stopped by a few times but was clearly running to keep up. The other staff occasionally helped out but they didn't keep up with the water and other drinks most of the night. The food was good, and at least our waitress seemed sincerely apologetic for the issues we had. Never had a manager stop by to check on us though. All in all it was a good but not great experience. I went to the Plano Tx location today with my son. It wasn't very busy at all but yet we were seated in the back of the restaurant by the restroom there was an odd odor, and I started to leave right then. The waiter came brought a basket of biscuits that were sent back because they tasted old, he states let me see if I can find f dome fresh ones and comes back with another steal batch saying this is the freshest they had. They had no butter on them no taste and was hard. Sure enough the table across from us, we could see the steam coming from the biscuits. I didn't bother calling him back again I just waited for my food. Me and my son had the seafood boil it had no flavor at all and it was supposed to be garlic and lemon pepper. I asked for extra lemon pepper seasoning and was brought some melted butter with lemon pepper mixed in it and the corn on the cob was hard. My total came out to 105 and I left a tip which I started not to but it was very disappointing and wasn't worth the money it's really not the same as it once was I would not RECOMMEND read more
