The crabs were big and full of meat and it seemed like there were endless shrimps in the bag. It also came with a corn on the cob and three potatoes, but I opted out of eating those because I enjoy the seafood part of it most. We tried this place for the first time tonight. We ordered the crab leg and headless shrimp combo. Only complaint is that it only comes with one piece of corn. The first time I went to Cary crab house it was amazing I've been begging my partner to go back and last night we finally did I was beyond disappointed I ordered a pound of shrimp and a pound of crab legs. i started to eat the crab not realizing the missing shrimp so I had my hands all over the bag. I told the waiter and he apologized and when to fix it. Told me he accidentally put in two pounds of crab legs and that he would fix it. Took my whole bag of food back to the kitchen that I had already been eating. So I'm not sure who ended up with the other pound of crab legs but they were already touched which is a huge health code violation to resell food that has already touched a table. Not a fan. The meal was expensive which I expect with crab but I didn't expect my meal to come in a trash bag. Everything was cooked in the same pot of water so the corn and potatoe tasted like fish water. The servings where small and the waitress couldn't even tell us what kind of sausage they served. If you're not a seafood eater, you probably should pass this place up. All they do is steamed seafood in a bag. Don't expect presentation. Don't expect fancy. Don't expect ambience. If you like everything fried please come on an empty stomach and be prepared to be a extremely full. It's definitely worth getting the boil rather than the individual items the cheaper price isn't necessarily worth it. Asking for alternatives is difficult, and I try to be understanding for a busy restaurant. But when you ask for something on the side and are brought the same thing twice it's not to be annoying to your server you're just trying to get what you've asked and are paying for in the end. read more

As far as boils go, you can't beat it. My husband and I love the shrimp and we add a 1/2 lb of sausage. So good! My favorite is the Big Bang which is all their seasonings, my husbands is just the Cajun! I ordered some steamed clams to go. When I got home and sat down to eat them they had been so overcooked that they were literally falling apart in my hand. I am a steam clam lover and these were just horrible. It was like they had been sitting in a boiling pot of water all day long that's how bad they were and how overcooked they were. I love Cary crab house! I've been coming since it first opened and I have never been disappointed. I'm definitely a regular and it's probably not good for the scale but it's totally worth it. The crab legs here are. so. good! I went for the first time on Saturday with my mom and sister and came back the next day for a to-go meal! I ordered the king crab legs (you get two large ones) with corn on the cob and a potato. Everything was filled with flavor and my tastebuds were very happy. The way it was prepared was definitely not proper and I didn't end up eating much of it because of this. Awful waiting process. Signed up at 5:30 pm and did not get seated until 8:00 pm! They mentioned 90 min wait as a max. and we got seated 2.5 hours later!!!! Then we were seated, we ordered immediately off their "easy to cook" menu and waited 1 more hour. Not only did the waitress drop off our drinks but there was NO more communication during this hour. We asked about our food and she said it would be a longer wait. Our 12 year old child was in tears - we paid for our drinks and left. Nothing is worth this kind of wait, lies and very poor service. Considering it is a simple menu and it's the same process over and over and over again to serve. We will NOT be back. We went to Lucky 32 and had a wonderful meal with wonderful service. We really love a good seafood boil and this place has the experience that you need! You can choose from what seafood, seasoning and then spicy level. We chose the Shrimp with no head and crab legs option, with Cajun seasoning and mild. We probably could have gone up a spicy level, but we didn't really notice that. We added a 1/2 lb sausage as well. The only disappointing thing was it only came with one small piece of corn and 2 potatoes. We shared it and so only 1 of us got the corn. I took my husband for crab legs. I'm a vegetarian. I have never even eaten a crab. He is in a wheelchair having lost use of his left side, something that has gotten worse. He said the crab was some of the best he's eaten but he was near to giving up because he was having so much trouble shelling them. Our server was so sweet. She dropped by to see if everything was ok and could tell it wasn't. So she stopped by every little while and shelled some for him. So, so kind. She talked and joked with us making my husband very comfortable about having to have help. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that AND the food was excellent according to him. We will be back.
