Came here with a friend on a Wednesday evening, we were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant is quite large with plenty of tables. Nice ambience and decor. The concept of this Brazilian restaurant is really cool with top notch food and service. This was my first time here and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. The ambiance is really nice and can be a great spot for all occasions. Plenty of parking available. Food is served in courses and you can ask for a repeat if your favorite items. The appetizers were excellent and the fried polenta was a total treat. The soup and salad are a good starting point followed by the roasted chicken (spicy & regular). The different pasta sides were really good too. The spicy chicken was not my personal favorite (only reason for the 4 stars). Good selection of wines and cocktails to choose from. Every aspect of this fine establishment can be summed up as WOW!!!!! It was my first time here and was with the group of seven for a Yelp UYE (Thanks Marianne C. !) It is easy to find, easy to get in and out, and has plenty of parking. When you walk in, that is the first WOW! You are greeted by a fabulous full wall water feature! An exceptionally gifted one puts the dining experience over the top, and that is Jade. Immaculately dressed, smart, constant sly smile, witty, personable to all personality types, and the perfect well-rounded guide to a Brazilian dining epicurean adventure! Jade led us through multiple options, guided us through our selections, planned the table space, and made sure our bellies and taste buds were thrilled! Then there is the drink WOW! Then it was Sopa de Capeletti, a chicken broth soup with cheese filled capeletti, which was quite good! The Salad Course Salad Course consisted of a mixed green salad, potato salad, Queijo Assado com Mel (Brazilian queijo coalho & honey - also known as grilling cheese. Add a touch of honey, and it has a texture I love to bite. Absolutely my favorite!), Polenta Frita (fried polenta, w/grated parmesan - a group favorite), Bolinha de Queijo (fried pepper jack cheese), and Polenta Brustolada (grilled polenta). We did ask for seconds of most of these. The Main Course Galetos (Chicken) came as 3 options: Traditional (12 hour marinade, charcoal grilled), Parmesan Crusted (traditional galeto with parmesan) and Piri Piri (traditional galeto brushed with very spicy "piri-piri" sauce.) One in our party wanted more heat and they provided a fiery sauce. I had the Traditional, and that was the most tender and moist chicken I've ever had with a superb delicate flavor! Another WOW! The second half of the Main Course included Pasta: Charcoal Ravioli de Abóbora (butternut squash, sun-dried tomato sauce), Ravioli de Goiabada ( guava, quattro formaggi sauce - WOW!), Canelone (rolled pasta with provolone, turkey breast, and mozzarella), Maccheroni al Rose Bolognese (veal, beef, pomodoro, quattro formaggi - another of my favorites), Spaghetti ai Quattro Formaggi (mozzarella, gouda, parmesan, gorgonzola), and Trecce da Marcella (jalapeno, poblano bechamel - Excellent flavors with a slight tongue tingle of spice, very good!). A big group of friends decided to try this spot and we were not disappointed. Try literally everything! All the pastas had its own amazing qualities. But my favorite was the piri-piri chicken. It was so spicy and flavorful. My friends definitely love the Parmesan chicken as well. And the passion fruit dessert was delicious. I finally made it to Casa Pollastro. This was a much awaited UYE of mine and I must say I did a pretty good job picking up this place. All of us who attended were first timers and were just blindly walking in to something we've never had before. We started off with drink orders, I had their Brazilian lemonade. It was fresh and just the right amount of sweet to start off the feast. The bread loaf with pates is a nice start to clean our palates. Crunchy outside but soft and warm on the inside. Really good with herb butter. Next up was the salad course which consisted of greens, potato salad, queijo assado con Mel, bolinha de queijo, and polenta frita which is really, really good. We must've had a dozen order of this. Then on to the galetos which were incredibly tender and flavorful. The generous array of accompaniments and the multiple choices of pastas made the dining experience truly delightful. The server informed us this upon arrival, and that if we needed to add additional options we could. I'm a slow eater, so my only issue is the pacing of the courses. They come at you FAST. We arrived at 6:00 and there were two other tables occupied, which I thought was odd given the day and time and for a restaurant with such high ratings on yelp. The chicken was also ok, but nothing I really enjoyed and would order again. The bad: all the pastas were under cooked and served warm and very disappointing. The picanha was so salty it was almost inedible. The chicken soup had chicken skin and knuckle in it, which ruined what could have been an ok soup. For my wife and I, the overall quality of the food did not live up to the hype. I'm sure other folks have had a different experience than we did. CP is a Brazilian restaurant that serves a 4-course meal family style for the low price of $35 per person. This is NOT a Brazilian churrasco, but this is every bit as great of an experience! The courses include bread with different spreads, soup, salads and various cheese appetizers, chicken (correction, really good chicken!), pasta, and desserts. For an up charge, you can get the steak which I'm sure is excellent as well. Beware, the spicy chicken is EXTREMELY SPICY! I know what you're thinking, "I can handle spice." Uh, no you can't. Not this level of spice. Even though it's spicy, the flavor is really, really good. Your eyes will tear up but you won't be able to stop eating. Everything here is delicious! Everything! What a great find! The reviews seemed too good to be true, but actually this place is worth the hype. Need to know: There is no "ordering" from the menu. It's a prix fixe menu (pre set selections) that they bring to your table over 4 courses, which costs $35. They come in small dishes to share for the table. You can always ask for as many additional dishes you would like per course. The food is Brazilian inspired with Italian flare; the Brazilian chicken course comes with 6 different types of pasta. I was also surprised at the amount of customers and servers who could speak Portuguese. Make a reservation! This place gets busy and you don't want to be waiting any longer than you have to. We enjoyed every course, the servers were very attentive and accommodating and super friendly. The ambiance was more elegant than I was expecting from the outside of the building; it is right next to a Whataburger. What a diamond in the rough! Family style dining, where you really feel like family. This was the most delicious, best balanced meal I've had in the metroplex in a while. The concept of this place was great but the food fell flat for me. Went with a table of 7. We were excited to try an AYCE place that sounded similar to a Greek place I love. The service was good and consistent so I'll give them that. We went mid day at 2pm, so it wasn't overly busy. Everything came out was either a bit bland in taste or something we got tired of quickly. On average, almost EVERYTHING we had had a lot of cheese. The various pasta dishes they brought out were not that great except for the bolongnese. The fried polenta was nice and crispy. Peri peri chicken was most and flavor. The flan was creamy and perfectly sweet. Other than that, I didn't enjoy much of anything. There's just not enough variety in the dishes to make anything stand out. It was just cheese cheese and more cheese. Also I know we were a large party but I wasn't made aware of the auto gratituity (would've nice to been informed at least) It is $35/person but man I wish it was worth it. This place is a hidden gem, to be honest I am not sure how they make money! They are bringing everything from the menu to your table! The appetizers are very delicious, so good! Also I liked the chickens there. The pastas are okay, nothing special you can get them from everywhere. But DESSERTS ... OH MY GOD! You can't get enough of them, so so good!
