Yesterday's was my mothers 69 th Birthday issue wanted Mexican food with live mariachi and I looked up so many places with my wife and we choose this one I must say I did not regret it at all. The place is so beautiful the food is delicious I had the combination cheese enchilada and taco dorado with rice and beans really yummy my mothers and children and wife all enjoyed their food and most of all my mom enjoyed her mariachi I'm very much satisfied with this place. And their service is excellent and let's not forget the alcohol drinks so good. I will definitely be coming back here with my family. read more

We drove from Orange County to meet friends who were longtime customers--I joked we probably passed a hundred Mexican restaurants on the way and hoped it was worth the drive. It was well-worth every mile! It's a really lovely restaurant with friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable staff, and a really nice menu. You'll find several fish options that include salmon, shrimp, and mild white fish. But what caught my eye were the vegan enchiladas. I don't eat vegan, but I love vegetables, and the absence of cheese and cream in the sauce was a plus. The dish was both beautiful and delicious ... crunchy diced veg and crisp corn combined with pretty tortillas and vibrant pasillo sauce. It was light and satisfying ... and very unique. You'll be entertained by stellar mariachi musicians, and after your meal you'll be presented with an inviting tray of desserts--pick one and enjoy! There is valet parking at the back of the restaurant, that's very convenient. We all had a terrific time: a great meal, excellent service, flavorful drinks, and exciting mariachi entertainment. Great, live mariachi music! The food was okay. Nothing out of this world but the music makes up for it. I thought my meal was going to be rushed because they make it clear when you make your reservation that they have two mariachi sessions and that if you reserve for the first one you need to vacate the table before the second show starts. I made my reservation for 7pm and the first show started at 8:30 pm. It was plenty of time to order, eat and enjoy the show. The show was over at 9pm. I am absolutely in love with this restaurant! I got the veggie quesadilla (wouldn't get again), but my family loved loved loved the pork shank. The best part, however, was the fact we could eat and drink, all while watching a live performance. One of my favorite Mexican Restaurants in the Westside a little pricey, but overall great food, great service and good ambiance, the mariachi puts a nice show for everyone! We ordered the shrimp stuffed with crab meat, Stuffed Portobello mushroom with a side of black beans, very tasty for a veggie dish, Surf and Turf bone in rib eye and Lobster tale for the birthday boy! Drinks were good as well skinny margarita, sangría and bohemia! Service was up to par with everything, have had ok service there before but this time the server and bus boy were on top of refills and drinks! This place is such a gem for birthday parties and out of town visitors. Best on weekends when they have THE FULL SHOW - but also good on other nights. Food and service is top notch - but plan accordingly. You need to be there at the start of one of the two shows. Not cheap entrees average $20-25, plus starts and drinks averaging about $15. Mediocre, overpriced food. The restaurant venue itself is nice and the entertainment portion is great, very good Mariachi. Unfortunately the food quality is pretty bad, would not go back. If you do decide to give it a try, go with the fajitas, those were the only decent thing on the menu and we tried about 6 different dishes total. If you go on a special occasion, expect to pay north of $100 per person for a meal with one drink and dessert. read more

This restaurant is greedy and tacky. At the end when they brought the bill, they used wite-out to cover the lower suggested tips on the receipts. That way, you only see the highest suggested tip.. like, they want to force you to pay the biggest tip & the waiter hovers over you while signing the receipt. If you read other reviews, they are extremely demanding when it comes to tipping. But we didn't feel like the service/food even deserved the highest tip because they were rude, rushed us, and didn't grant our request to sit up front near the main show (we were celebrating and we booked a whole month in advance). One of the waiters rudely snatched a plate away from my friend before they were even done with it. The food was mediocre, was pre-made and microwaved probably. Drinks were very overpriced and not worth it. This was definitely the first and last time coming here and we'll be sure to spread the word to avoid this place. Well where do I start, I had such an amazing time at casa Sanchez- coming from Chatsworth ca so it took me a good hour coming here for my birthday celebration. The Marachii was sooooooooooo good, all there voices where amazing one of them is even sounded like Juan Gabriel our server was David was so sweet, an excellent server, and made sure his guest felt welcome and at home. Even though he wore a mask I knew he was smiling underneath it. I had such a good time for more birthday, it was intimate, I really recommend Casa Sánchez for an occasion super posh. The most greediest restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The waiter questioned us about the tip amount we were leaving him. 1st of all, tips are not mandatory. If I do leave a tip it's because I want too. Not because I'm forced too. We failed on not reading all the reviews, definitely will not be returning again. The lack of customer service is horrible. I don't have to give my money to a place of greedy low life waiters that are simply money hungry. If you aren't getting paid enough then maybe you should look into another job. But questioning customers for tip amounts is simply pathetic. To the waiter that questioned the tip. Our waiter was rude and made us feel rush. The only staff members who were friendly were the food runners and the staff who refilled our chips. My chicken fijatas were cold. And the fijatas of my brother in law were cold as well. We told our waiter and he took the skillets back to the kitchen. They came 10 mintues sizzling hot, little to know that all our food were cold. The new York steak was cold and hard. The potato was not hot or cold but chill. All the food was uneatable because of the temperature and texture. The food is overprice and didn't seem acceptable for the price. There was graffiti on the mirror in the men's restroom which shows that the restaurant doesnt care about its appearance or the way it's view. They also had many lights out. The waiter did refill our drinks because he thought we were spliting/sharing regardless that is not reason for denying all 4 of our drinks refills. The experience from the waiter was bad and the only thing I liked was the Mariachis. THEY CHARGE $1 for each of our party to cut the cake. They brought the cake way too early. They brought the cake about 15-20 mintues after our food came out. It definitely felt like they did not want us in the restaurant for much longer. read more

Not only did this place bring out in me so many memories from my culture and background but it brought me close to home. They are! Casa Sanchez is located in the Culver City area in a very unassuming building on Centinela. Valet parking only (street parking is difficult). You can make reservations online and they are very good with following up to confirm reservations. Parties of 10-20+ are seated in the front of the restaurant closest to the performance stage. All other reservations are scattered among the room. You can't request to be put close to the stage unless you have a large party. You walk into the restaurant and you are greeted by two very friendly hostesses. We were quickly seated and greeted by our friendly waiter. Fernando was super knoweldgeable, friendly, and helpful! All bus boys and other waiters worked together as a team to provide great service. A complimentary set of fresh salsa and guacamole was delivered to the table with hot fresh corn chips. Delicious! For appetizers, I ordered the Scallop and Shrimp Ceviche. Delicious. It was a freshly made ceviche. The lime was sour and tart, and the hints of salt made the dish fun to eat. Served with tortilla chips. The dish lacked spice, but it was fun to eat! Grade: B I ordered the Chicken Enchillada with Mole Sauce. The dish was well made and the mole sauce was complex and authentic. You could tell that the chef has a very old traditional family recipe for the mole sauce. The flavors were deep, robust, and complex. Amazing. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I appreciated the preparation and taste of this dish! Grade: A- The highlight of the night was the almost 1 hour long entertainment! 14 men dressed in traditional Mexican outfits came out on stage and filled the room with excitement, beautifu voices, and energetic music! There were two numbers that featured a male and a female dancer. Loved it how the violins and trumpets were spread across the room and they got people involved with the show. FUN! Casa Sanchez is a fine Mexican restaurant close to Marina del Rey. The restaurant catches your eye as you take your first step through the front gate with its beautiful and eclectic interior design. The back patio is spacious and looks upscale as well. If you want to take advantage of their happy hour menu, you can sit outside on the patio or at the "bar" at one of the tables along the parameter of the inside of the restaurant. Otherwise, you can only order off of their regular menu (with a pretty substantial price difference but the regular menu offers larger, more elaborate dishes). The biggest selling point of the place is that you can watch live performances by a Mariachi band all while enjoying your food and drinks. My sister, bf and I decided to sit out on the patio and ordered almost every item on the happy hour menu. The queso and fish tacos were our favorites. The thick deep-fried house chips, salsa and guacamole were delicious! Being the huge taco fanatic that I am, I was a bit disappointed when I tried the red meat tacos (chicken & pork) and the taquitos were decent. The house lime margaritas were yummy and the waiter accommodated our request to cut the sweetness for our drinks. Even though we didn't sit at a dining table inside facing the performance stage, we could hear the music just fine while enjoying the extra space and sunlight out on the patio. Overall, the food and drinks are average, but the staff was friendly, the prices are great and the atmosphere is perfect for a date-night or a family outing for a special occasion. My fiancé and I looked up places to eat around our home and stumbled upon here! So glad we did! The ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful, elegant, and old fashion. I would have to say the only thing I would change would be the lighting. It was a little too dark for me, but that's just my opinion! I ordered the enchiladas, jalapeño margarita, and shared the flan dessert. Everything was insanely delicious!! I would have to say our waiter didn't seem to interested to be working that night. Wasn't too engaged with us, kept looking around, distracted, while we were trying to order our food.
