Trash customer service. Apparently if you order through a delivery app, the employees will hand your order to anyone without checking to verify it's actually for that person. Try it, say a random name and they'll prob just hand it over. Then when you call to ask why, they'll blame uber because it's an easy out as they refuse to be accountable for their mistake. But then uber will charge you full cancellation, no refund because the "restaurant already prepared it." Pretty disappointed, definitely don't recommend this location. read more

Are you in the mood for THE WORST Cava ever? Then come here and waste your money. Upon entering the store you encounter a line that moves really really slow. Slowest line I've ever been in to get food. Portion size is absolutely the worst. They are so skimpy with their portion sizing you might as well start recording and make them an example. They've also ran out a lot of things like corn, broccoli, etc. The food quality here is very below average. The rice is cold, the steak is so greasy, dry, and cold. The oil was still bubbling like it was being heated but the steak is not warm. The staff here are quite unhappy and love to throw your bowl to the next area. I watched them build mobile orders and all I can say is "wow". Someone ordered the lentils and I saw the person scoop up like a tea spoon amount. I also watched an employee roll their eyes so and sigh of frustration while making a mobile order. On top of that, drinks are out of order too? Wow. They can't manage stock or manage their appliances. Overall, this place is a joke. The interior is nice but everything else is a joke. read more

I usually don't take time writing reviews, but today's experience was just terrible. I don't expect my bowl to be overflowing but it should not be half of the usual portion. The photos were taken before I ate. When I showed my bowl to a worker(who happened to be a manager) he just said that's their usual portion. When I said I've been getting food from there for years, he just repeated that it's the usual portion. That was DEFINITELY not true. At first I thought some toppings were missing so then he brought out a small portion of the eggplant. Then inside my bowl I found a tiny glop(literally a teaspoonful) of the eggplant so I returned it to him. Then I used a fork to show how little "salad" was actually in my bowl and he just grabbed extra salad and said, "that's good, right?" Well, no. There is a big problem with our interaction. If he's the manager that means people working there are not instructed to serve food with consistent portions, as can be evidenced by other reviewers who said they experienced inconsistent portions and quality. Second, not taking responsibly for their inconsistent portions is another big issue. He lacks customer service skills and should have acknowledged that it was less than usual from the beginning. And while he was getting the extra salad, other workers were laughing on the side. I'm not some customer who wants extra portions for free. I want the portion that I paid for to be made right. I do not enjoy bringing their attention to something they did not do right just as much as they probably didn't want to hear it. This is the closest location to me and I so wish that they would get it together so I can continue to go there. read more

The customer service is really off putting here. Like others have mentioned, this particular Cava goes by rules that resemble Chipotle. If you ask for extra rice at this location, you won't get it. My order is so simple, I don't get all the sides and dips available so it's important at least for me to get a bit of extra carbs to offset the chicken, corn, and cabbage. Sometimes you just want to grab a quick lunch to enjoy on your break and when I have interactions like these it makes me never want to go again, so great job today guys if this is what corporate Cava told you guys to do, it's working. It's too bad because only 6 months ago the shift manager who worked at this location was awesome. read more

My husband and I love Cava. The reason why I give this location 4 stars is because the customer service wasn't good. The lady that was preparing the bowls wasn't very nice and she seemed annoyed to have to replenish the toppings that were almost done. When we were about to order,the lettuce and greens were basically out. Some of the toppings were basically done. Yet, it wasn't being replenished. I love cava. Been going to cava for many years. I enjoy the food, great quality ingredients. The prices are great, and the locations I have been to have all been nice and clean, and convenient. This location in particular, I decided to stop in after the gym... to which I was greeted by a woman with a larger frame. She had a bad attitude when I had initially approached as if she didn't want to do her job, and as I added more ingredients she was in such a hurry to cut me off and stir me along. There was nobody behind me in line. She just seemed fed up with her job. Then we get to the sauces. I asked for 3 sauces, and she explained company policy to me, that they only give 2 sauces per bowl. To which I responded that I wanted to pay for a 3rd sauce. She told me I could not. I explained that I want a third sauce, and I asked her how I could go about getting a third sauce, because I wanted it and have no issues paying for it. She told me it was against company policy, and overall her demeanor was just piss-poor with me. I then spelled it out for her. "I would like to purchase a third sauce, with my money. Like I want to give you my money, to get a third sauce for my bowl." And we continued back and forth until she decided to storm off, telling the other employee to charge me 3.00 for an extra sauce. Big fan of CAVA in general and this location (spacious, with tons of indoor and outdoor seating). Very fresh ingredients, good portions, quick and healthy eats. For toppings, I love the pickled cabbage and cucumbers. Most falafel I've had sitting at restaurants is hard and dry, but not here! That or the chicken is my protein of choice. read more

I'm going to first off state that the food here was excellent. The vegetables, toppings, and sauces were very rich in flavor and mixed well with one another to create a very playful combination. The bowls themselves looked very nice as well and the servers were kind in telling me about each of the options. My experience here though was not the best as the soda machine was broken so the water dispenser would give a yucky soda water mixture. I had to walk across the street to Chipotle to get some water. Along with this there was a long line that moved at a snails pace which detracted from the nice interior design. Overall this is a great place and I think it would be better any other day so I do recommend this place for others and I hope that they fix that water machine. read more

We came here because we heard good things from family and friends about this place. We came at 1pm on a Sunday and the line was out the door. We ended up waiting around 30 minutes just to order our food but the wait was worth it and once at the counter the staff provided excellent service and helped us first timers navigate through their menu options and recommendations. Came here on a Tuesday @2p for a quick lunch and it was quite busy w a line out the door. I ordered a grilled chicken build your own bowl - dips: roasted eggplant (not too bad, but I've had better) red hummus (good flavor) and crazy feta (the best dip that they had!) and sauces - lemon herb tahini, and garlic sauce. The bowl came out well composed at the end, and all the flavors melted together. Today they were also fair with the protein portion. Line moved at an okay pace, but definitely not fast enough if you were there in a rush. The staff was friendly though, and once I got to the cashier, I was given a complimentary drink! Very easy to find on Culver in Irvine. Lots of parking available as well! read more

I LOVE Cava. But this location is terrible. I usually don't mind waiting in the long lines, but on this particular night at around 8:30, the line was actually short, with only 2 groups in front of us. It took us over 20 minutes to get through the line and we noticed 2 other groups of customers waiting behind us had enough of the wait and ended up just leaving before ordering. Once we began ordering, I realized why it was taking so long. They seemed to be "out of" nearly everything. Out of greens, cucumbers, corn, tomatoes, AND 3 different sauces I asked for. They were even out of ice. I had to alter my order based off what they wanted to replace in that moment or not. Short staffed and stressed, their customer service was also lacking. Their workers were rude and all seemed to not have proper training on how to efficiently run the place. Didn't follow the first in first out rule when they were replacing chicken. Added new chicken right on top of half an order of older chicken. They even emptied and closed all the drinks at the drink station at around 9:30, a whole hour before closing and I couldn't refill my drink. Overall, would recommend cava for their good food, but definitely skip on going to this location. read more
