This is by far the worst Cava. Every time I have ordered from here using the app something has been wrong with the order. In the past, I've received raw lentils. This most recent visit multiple items were missing from my order. They never answer their phone to rectify the order. Save yourself the trouble and visit the other locations. read more

The food is good but auntie Fredda is consistently rude and obnoxious with me every time I've ordered AND is rude to her staff. Today during a busy lunch rush an employee messed up on someone's falafel addition to their bowl. Why did Fredda have to chastise this young girl in front of a busy lunch line and all of her coworkers. Ridiculous. Time and place. The girl looked like she was about to cry. She's also quite rude to myself or my coworkers every time we come and order. Whenever any of us come back from CAVA on our lunch break, one of my coworkers will always ask "was Fredda there" because that is how consistently rude she is to us whenever any of us go there (individually, we never go in as a group). This is my go to food joint lunchtime on weekends because it's close to my work. Food is top notch for sure but the crew needs to be consistent on maintaining the place clean. Oftentimes the tables are sticky and traces of food crumbs on top. The floor is also dirty. I think it's inexcusable to have good tasting food but you have ill kept location. just saying! read more

to start off, i've seen a lot of reviews about the staff here being rude. i can confirm it's 100% true. placed an online order due at 6 (20 minutes to prepare for my order) and i came in at 6:02 and they didn't even start on it yet. when i arrived, they told me they were out of the skhug and garlic sauce. two of which i put on my bowl. if that was the case THEN MAKE IT UNAVAILABLE TO ADD TO MY ORDER ONLINE. couldn't even get a good alternative because they were out of SEVERAL sauces. also got the hot harissa chips. these are as cold as the metal table they were lying on. usually when i get them at the fullerton location they're fresh and hot. To say I'm obsessed would be an understatement. I LOVE Cava and I was so excited that they finally came to Rancho. I've been here twice in the last two weeks and have to control myself to not visit even more times. The first time I came with my friend during lunch on a Saturday (8/19) and the line moved fast and efficiently. We told them it was our first time so they were very patient with us and both of our bowls turned out amazing! I visited again on Friday (8/25) with my fiancé and definitely caught the dinner rush around 615 pm. The line was long but was moving. However, I felt a little rushed and didn't get a chance to add dips to my bowl, we were just kind of hustled down the line. I asked for both grilled chicken and roasted veggie in our bowls and were told it would be "extra" even though they offer the option of doing half and half...The chicken was also slightly burnt and I didn't see all of the toppings available so I'm not sure if they were refilling or had run out. We paid for our meals and didn't notice until we were almost home that they didn't give us our FREE pita bread, which was disappointing. My bowl still ended up being delicious but I didn't appreciate being hustled through the line and some of the staff members' attitudes. The place is new, it's busy, the food is delicious, so maybe try to be a little patient as people discover the magic of Cava. It won't stop me from coming back here and I hope it'll be a better experience. read more

Staff is very mixed. Couple of folks were extremely rude and two other staff members did their best to help us. One girl added two scoops of rice and then for no reason took a whole scoop out and put it back into the container. When I asked her to add a little bit more, since there wasn't much left in the bowl, she went all passive aggressive and literally threw in two full scoops back into my bowl, and said "I'm gonna change you!" in a super harsh tone. The worker next to her was rolling her eyes as well. When I confronted her why did she have to be so rude, she acted surprised and said, that she just did what I asked her to. This has to be the most awful experience I had at any food place. Service is literally non existent. Kudos to the two other staff members who intervened and helped us with the order. They did end up not charging us anything, but if an $18 bowl needs a fight over one scoop of rice, you need to ask yourself if this place is even worth your money and time. Cava's food is great. Another reason for this problem is that the proportions of food were very underwhelming for the size of the bowl the food is in. If you do a quick look at the pictures of the bowls on their website, expect half of that when you actually get your order. For the price, I expected more food. And I'm comparing this to other Mediterranean spots in terms of value, quantity, and quality. Service: people were very friendly and they had a fairly good system to try and move the long line. Drink: they boast a variety of in-house tea and lemonade that was cool. They had this blueberry soda that I liked, but my wife said tastes like medicine. Are you ready to try the Chipotle of Mediterranean food? My husband and I popped in for lunch because we've been hearing great things from our local friends. The general vibe is nice! Clean store, friendly staff, but what really shines at CAVA is their food!! Unfortunately for me, I tried their Harrissa Honey Chicken after not quite understanding how spicy it was. Needless to say, I definitely felt that in the bathroom a few hours later. The food at CAVA is fresh and flavorful. Hubby and I both enjoyed our bowls. FYI for those who love pickled onions... their purple pickled onions are SWEET and not sour/lemony. As a fan of tart pickled onions, that was my only disappointment. So glad this place is now in the IE. I've been to this place a couple of times in Whittier and the food is filling. The grilled chicken with falafel combination is my go to but don't sleep on the braised lamb. Service still needs a little work since the staff is still learning the ropes. They seemed a little overwhelmed with the amount of people at times but it should get better as time goes on. There was a wide selection of toppings & bases, so there really is something for everyone to love. The food was so fresh, and the flavors were bright. If you like spicy, I highly recommend the Harissa Honey Chicken. The employees were super nice, especially given how busy they were. Online orders are still pointless. I placed my order and estimated time was 3:45. I get to the restaurant around 3:50ish and my order isn't at the shelf. I wait a few minutes since there's around 10-12 people in line so I thought to myself that they're a little busy. A worker then asks me what the name is on my order. And they replied with "okay, we'll get started on it". The order then took another few minutes. Also a few instances where toppings on my online orders have been wrong or missing. And some instances where online ordering is still slow even though the place is empty. This Cava location has been very inconsistent. read more

Ordered cava Togo and it was everything that everyone has been hyping it up to be. I got a saffron bowl with basmati rice, humus, lettuce, corn, falafel, chicken, feta cheese. It was so goood. We stumbled upon Cava one Friday evening on the hunt for something new and tasty in Rancho. And we saw a huge line at Cava and said if there a line it must be good. Lol sure enough it was AMAZING! the first time we came here there was huge line, the second and third time there was only 2 or people waiting. The food is worth the wait either way. It's so fresh and light, it's not to heavy. I could eat their food everyday if it wasn't so expensive. For my husband and I with drinks it runs is about $40-50. My only complaint is the restaurant itself is so messy and dirty. Tables have food from last guest, trash cans over flowing. Food on the floor. They need to ensure the store/restaurant is kept more tidy. And it's been like this all 3 times I've visited. It has kept me from eating in or outside the store I always take it home. If they could fix that issue I would come in for store visit to eat inside. Until than I'll continue to take my food home. read more

I tried this restaurant because people said it was the better Chipotle, and I have to say that it was good, and tasted better than Chipotle. When I walked in here, I have to say that there was a lot of people eating here for a isolated restaurant. I asked a worker if it was the better Chipotle, and he said yes and that the ingredients were fresh. Here are my critiques that had led me to give Cava this rating. 1. The food was a little cold, maybe it was the hummus but the hummus was good. 2. Portions are too small. I like big portions, and that's why I like Chipotle's unlimited rice and beans and at least you have unlimited toppings. I enjoy rice and beans, and I would order more if the company made the orders have larger bowls. Overall, not bad and it's packed and people are talking in this take-out restaurant. I give this place three and a half stars, I think that is a fair rating. And overall, have a great day! read more

i love cava and have been to multiple locations but this is CONSISTENTLY the worst one. The staff is not nice and makes me feel like I'm bothering them. They ran out of multiple things i wanted and the most recent time i came in was the worst. I came in a HOUR before they closed and there were three girls taking the food off the line and cleaning up everything while i just stood there for 10 mins before anyone even acknowledged me. While i was ordering they were complaining about wanting to go home to their coworkers and just made me feel like inconveniencing them. i myself work in the food service industry and i totally get it, towards the end of the night everyone wants to go home but to do that a hour before yall close is crazy, it's not like i came in 15 mins before yall are closed. Won't be coming back to this specific location because everyone that works there just seems not to care. And clearly the management doesn't care because nothing changes and they have a bunch of other bad reviews. read more
