I understand this restaurant is new and popular, but the poor organization made for a frustrating experience. If demand is outpacing production, they should either pause online orders or provide accurate wait times. I placed my order at **7:58 PM** with an estimated pickup time of **8:15 PM**. I arrived at **8:25 PM** and didn't receive my food until **9:30 PM**--overpast the original estimate. What made it worse was that the walk-in line moved quickly (customers were served in **20 minutes or less**), while online orders were clearly neglected. The lack of management was evident. Staff should greet customers, verify receipts, and provide realistic updates on wait times--especially for those who arrived when originally told. Online orders should at least be expedited if customers arrive on time. The food itself may be good (it's clearly popular), but the operational issues need urgent attention. Zero if I could for service. I don't know why they're super slow even when they see a line of people. It was okay when they first opened but it's been a while now and still the same slow. Very sparingly do I leave bad reviews for businesses, but after our take out experience tonight I felt compelled to write this review. Upon initial opening of this location I was reading a ton of mixed reviews, most being negative. I decided to give it a couple months of them being open to visit, to allow the business to get their bearings. Unfortunately, they have not. We ordered two greens and grains bowls tonight as delivery. When our orders arrived, immediately we noticed one of the bowls was about 60% full. As we opened the bowls, we both noticed there were a ton of discrepancies in both bowls. One was completely missing the grains, in a greens and grains bowl, so disappointing. Additionally, it had the incorrect greens, as well as several other missing toppings. The 60% full bowl had probably a tablespoon of "greens" and was also missing several toppings. Thinking we maybe received the incorrect order, we checked the individual stickers on the bowls which listed everything we used on the app to be put into the bowl, and both were what we ordered with our correct name. Not sure if this was incompetence or trying to end the night without having to restock (even though we ordered two hours before closing) but it's inexcusable when you charge $20+ per bowl and consumers use an app to list out ingredients to be put into a bowl. read more

I placed an online order at CAVA with a scheduled pickup time of 12:15 PM. I didn't get my food until 1:15 PM. That's an hour late--even though I showed up 30 minutes after my designated pickup time, thinking I was giving them plenty of leeway. I could have gone through the in-store line four times in the time I waited. The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because the staff was friendly and clearly doing their best in what looked like a very understaffed situation. The food itself was solid (as usual), but CAVA really needs to get their online ordering system under control. Either update it to reflect realistic wait times or stop accepting online orders altogether during peak hours. This experience was frustrating and made me second-guess ordering ahead in the future. read more

I've been to plenty of CAVA locations and usually love the experience, but this one was something else entirely. I waited in line for 40 minutes -- yes, forty. The place was severely understaffed, and it showed. The employees seemed unsure of the menu and how to assemble some of the bowls, which slowed things down even more. It honestly felt like chaos behind the counter. If you're planning to stand around for half an hour (or longer) just to get a salad, this is the spot for you. We've been waiting for Cava in Temecula for a year & it was worth the wait!! We lived through a new store opening while in Phoenix & the Temecula location has been much smoother for us. We have ordered 3 times now through the app. I got text notifications with updates on my order & each time the food was ready and waiting when I arrived. Each time I walked in, I was greeted with a "Hi! Welcome to CAVA!" The food has been consistent with what we got in San Diego. Great flavors, fine portions, everything fresh. I have always wanted to try Cava but there was never one close to me until they opened in Temecula. The line was extremely long so I decided to download the app and order online. My order was ready in 15 minutes while the people in front of me in line still had barely moved. I ordered the falafel bowl.It was amazing and the spicy pita chips are so good. The restaurant was nice although there isn't a lot of seating.The food is fresh and extremely healthy compared to most of the other similar restaurants. I will definitely be ordering from Cava again. read more

Food tastes good. But you do not get what you pay for in my opinion. Paid appropriately $18 (I had paid extra for chicken, which I very obviously did not receive). Overall decent. We stopped by on a Monday around 530. There were probably 5-7 people in line in front of us but it still took about 20-25 minutes to get our food ordered. Overall the restaurant was pretty dirty. Food/debris on the ground throughout. Food was good, but not sure we need to go back for the pride and the service aspect. read more

Refreshing choice of the semi fast food restaurants. Would have given 5 stars however one turn off is I don't like restaurants who apparently train their staff to carefully measure choices that go into what your ordering. The worker took the spring mix right out of the plastic bag right in front of me without rinsing it. The person at the register acted like I was not there and started to ring up the customers behind me. Like everywhere else these days, people work too slowly, so it took a while to get my food. Too expensive for the amount of food you get. One complimentary small piece of pita bread!
