The chicken was so dry and old that I had to give it back to them to only have them bring back an even worse serving. Don't think we'll be coming back again. We usually order take out and it's never disappointed. This time we ordered 5 plates of lomo saltado and it was very disappointing to get home and all our plates were dripping of juice our trunk had juice, the mess was horrible. All the plates were broken we moved the food to different plates in order to eat. I called and was advised they ordered new plates that didn't close properly but needed to use them to not loose money. I find that very unfair we had to clean and now spend money cleaning the trunk due to the mess. If they are aware that the plates are not closing properly / break due to the heat they should consider their customers. read more

I've been here many, many times but today i came in for the brand new breakfast. I tried El Chapin and El Trojan. Both were . El Chapin, a classic Central American breakfast. Black beans, eggs, queso, crema and tortillas and of course fried platanos. The beans were creamy, the platanos were crispy and chewy in all the right ways and the the tortillas were exactly what I needed. El Trojan, was also a classic American type of breakfast. We work at a Luxury Dealership in DTLA. Many of our co-workers at our sister stores also order from here often. Today in our lunch was a long hair. Not just a hair but when my associate grabbed this hair it was WRAPPED AROUND A DRUMSTICK. It was so gross everyone tossed their lunch in the trash. I sent an email with a picture to them with no response. We called 4 times to be told different stories each time about when a manager would be there. Isn't there always a manger on duty at every restaurant? What if something happened at the restaurant? I've tried their saltado de pollo as well which is the same dish with chicken instead but preferred the lomo. Their platanos a la mode is a great dessert as well! The Lomo Saltado is AMAZING. This is a great place close to K-town, DTLA, and USC. The ambiance is super chill and you feel welcomed and at home when you walk in. The process if very quick, you order at the counter and then get a number. Then you just seat yourself and they'll bring the food out to you! Personally, I have only gotten the Lomo Saltado because it is so so so good. The best Peruvian food I have ever had in my life. The rice, fries, meat...it's all the perfect combo that will have you wanting more and coming back. It is a fairly good portion for a fair price.
