I have gone to CED multiple times at the Garden Grove location and really enjoyed their drinks and donuts. This is my first time visiting the Westminster location and came here to try the Banana Matcha in the Crungie cone and their Egg Benedict Croissant. My review is for the items I tried today and has is not in anyway a review of the customer service or staff. The banana matcha ice cream was not too sweet and had more of a banana flavor which was fine, but I found their soft serve a bit icy and did not have a creamy or soft texture nor do they swirl the ice cream consistently. The crungie itself had a nice sweetness that complimented the ice cream however i found the crungie a bit harder then expected and I felt like it was too hard that it could potentially chip a tooth. I didn't really enjoy trying to cautiously bite it. Customer service was fine in general. The egg benedict croissant was alright, nothing too amazing. The CED at this location felt smaller, but clean. There is plenty of parking in the plaza where the cafe is located. As I said my review for the ice cream and the croissant and my review is closer to a 3.5 stars. I will come back at a future time and see how the drinks are at this location. I definitely think it's a good place to try. read more

Ced is my favorite coffee shop and has been for a long time, so I was pretty excited it opened a new location! This one is smaller than the Garden Grove location and has less available seating, I'd say it's more of a pickup to go type location than a sit-down cafe like the Garden Grove one. There was only one girl working when I went and she was still so nice and knew how to pace out the customers one at a time to maintain low wait times. She was patient through all my questions too so even though they were out of the pastry I wanted it was okay bc I still had a good experience here. Give this girl praise! Or a raise haha the matcha latte I got here was a 10/10- PHENOMENAL. Not chalky or milky like most places! You can tell they use real ceremonial grade matcha here and yes it's a bit pricey but it's worth it. I've also tried a Mugwort latte at their other location and that was really good too so I'd say their coffees have a really nice flavor too. As a former barista I'm a bit of a coffee snob and I can say wholeheartedly that my experience with Ced has been consistently high quality each time. The pastries are also very tasty and not too heavy. I almost wanna gatekeep this place so bad lol but I am confident it will continue to grow and thrive as a company! Happened to stop by during soft opening today on my way to get another place but ended up coming in as I have always wanted to try drinks from Ced. I was craving matcha so I got their strawberry double matcha and my husband ended up getting a vanilla latte. They offer oat and almond milk as dairy alternatives so hubby got oat milk since he's lactose intolerant. We also got 2 croissants and they ended up being really good! Very flaky and the flavor reminded me of croissants from France. The matcha latte was solid and a nice refreshing drink for the hot day, just the right amount of matcha to not be overly earthy. My family and I walked into Ced after a late lunch looking to try the coffee drinks. The interior decor was nice and all the seats were filled with customers. We walked up to the counter to order and the barista, a young gentleman, didn't greet us but immediately told us that they're closing in 4 minutes and that he was thinking about closing the expresso machine. We just turned around and exited the store. We didn't know it was closing time but then again it was a weird experience since it seemed like we inconveniencing him. The corn coffee was very good the coffee was strong and nutty but u wish the sweet corn flavor came through a little more and there are pieces of corn inside so if you're a texture person I wouldn't recommend. The tiramisu donut was my favorite the cream had a delicious coffee flavor and the donut was soft and fluffy, I tried the strawberry one which wasn't anything special the only strawberry was on top but the filling was just your usual whip cream. Got the strawberry matcha and it did not miss, you can really taste the quality of the matcha. Also got the pistachio einspenner and it was delicious, great quality as well! We ordered one of their newest duo cake, the Party Pup Cake, for our friend's birthday. The cake was a vanilla flavored with strawberry fillings, it was such a delectable cake with no overpowering flavors it blended well together. I would definitely recommend trying it and their newly cake options as well! I went on a Sunday, I looked on there instagram and saw they had strawberry milk salt bread. When I arrived I saw they did not have all the flavors they advertised on instagram so I asked the worker did they sell out and she told me that they did not have those flavors today. I then asked did they have the schedule for flavors that they have for the up coming days and she said no. I don't usually like strawberry matcha but I ordered their double strawberry matcha here and haven't stopped thinking about it since (10/10). It had a really good matcha flavor without being overpowering, and the strawberry milk sweetened the drink well without making it taste artificial. The drink was also really pretty, which never hurts. I didn't get a chance to try the food here but I'll be back for sure. My only recommendation would be to make your matcha options a bit more extensive because there were only three. read more
