The food truck is settled in a neighborhood park in east Austin which is so cutie. There are lots of tables if you wanted to eat there, or you could even bring a picnic blanket weather permitting! We ordered our food (ordered to-go) and got it pretty quickly. Everything was wrapped so well so as to avoid any spilling in transit which I really appreciated. My one negative thing was that the mekin hot wings tasted like fish (and I really don't like fish), so I just wish the oil had been changed out more. Everything else was so fantastic we ate till we were bursting and there were still leftovers. We will be coming back and trying even more items!

They share a little courtyard with a pizza truck, seating and play area that includes cornhole/treehouse, and board games. Seems like a good spot to bring little ones or pets too! They've got quite a bit on the menu (photo attached), but with so much construction going on nearby, they do sell out of a few things by evening time. They're reasonably priced (plates with small rice and bean sides for $8 or regular tacos for $3), and I'd recommend the salsa verde if you really want a more authentic spice! They just opened recently, so I hope other Yelpers in the area can contribute to their page during the morning/day time. I'll definitely come back for some breakfast tacos soon! I love that El Comalito chose aesthetic and targeting the Texas meat-loving foodies as that differentiator amongst taco trucks in the area. The flavors were a traditional take but I loved it! The salsa was also a complimentary touch of flavor. The value is really great. 4 breakfast tacos for $18. You get a hefty portion compared to the usual lean breakfast tacos that other trucks serve. The menu is simple but thoughtfully creative. We are already looking forward to coming back to try the quesabirria, chilaquiles, ramen birria (?!!!) I love the feeling of a warm family doing something together. There are a variety of food trucks-- the top one being Cenizo, a coffee food truck that also served light pastries and kolaches from Kerlaches, and my personal favorite Mekin Thai, an amazing Thai food truck serving the most authentic and best Thai food in Austin. The Treehouse Park has so much outdoor space for little humans to play, a chicken coup (seriously), the occasional live entertainment, and plenty of outdoor dining furniture for dogs and humans to relax and enjoy the weather. For its namesake, a treehouse is onsite, but not accessible to play on.
