Okay, so I totally just ordered food for the first time from this pizzeria. I am from the East Coast/New York area, and so having to live so far away from authentic New York pizza has been pretty difficult. We have been ordering from a pizzeria in Burbank for awhile now, but quite honestly I am getting quite tired of eating from the same place. I discovered this pizzeria through an ad in the 'Local Flavor' pamphlet. So, I thought ordering was pretty easy. I didn't have to wait long to place my order. The person I spoke with was very nice. I was told my order would arrive within 35-45 minutes, and they were right on time. Also, they had no trouble getting to us, which is a huge plus. The delivery driver was very friendly. AND ultimately the pizza was amazing! I am so happy to have had such a good experience. I didn't have to pay as much here as I have at other pizzerias. I cannot wait to order from here again. I used to make this my go to for pizza. Pizza was good, hot and crispy. Salads not so much. They recently introduced an on line service with multiple fees and outrageous delivery cost. I will no longer order from Central Park as there are pizza places with fewer fees. I don't recommend them anymore either. read more

Burbank-area pizza eaters, take it from this east-coast-picky-pizza-eating-guy: the pizza here is a hit. Living in Burbank for more than 10 years, I had no idea this place was even there (it's inside a batting cage place), but a friend brought some of this pizza over for a game night at my place, and I was hooked. Thin crust with a perfect crunch, great cheese, not too saucy, and a good combo special with the must-try garlic knots. Maybe some of the low star reviews here relate to delivery? Not sure. I ordered over the phone and popped over for a pick-up and played the claw machine while waiting. Well, I was not a winner there, but the pizza made up for it. Dine out only, batting cage and all. The best NY style pizza in the Valley! I would have to say this place is comparable to The Coop on the Westside. I'm happy that I managed to find delicious NY style pizza places in almost every corner of LA county, so NY style pizza is not too far away. This place is situated within a batting cage/arcade = batarcade. The pizza is reasonably priced since it's large and in charge, they are generous with the cheese and toppings (reasonably since in the end the thin crust can handle too many toppings). They have a tiny private lot on the side, but you can also call ahead and quickly park on the street and pick up your goodies. Just as two stars on Yelp states, I've experienced better. We got a cheese pizza and sausage and mushroom calzone. One word sums up the food: bland. Oh so bland. The pizza has a decent doughy crust, but no seasoning. The calzone was so intensely bland that all you could do was dip it in the sauce and wish you ordered something else. Sorry, Central Park Pizza. This little secret is inside the batting cages. Really good pizza and calzones for good prices! Also one of the few places in the area that have anchovies. It's never busy when I go on my lunch break, but they do make everything in the moment so it might be a little wait. I usually call ahead and pick up my order to go. The pizza is still pretty good and the wings are still soggy, but my goodness, the delivery system leaves something to be desired! Twice I've ordered delivery, and twice the person has been unable to find my apartment. The first time I can excuse, I'm at a 1/2 address so it can be confusing. Because of this the second time I ordered I gave specific instructions on how to find my apartment (essentially it's the unit behind the whole number) and still the guy couldn't find it. The perk of delivery is that I don't have to leave my apartment, but both times I have gotten a call and had to go find the delivery person. And the second delivery resulted in the guy disrupting my neighbor who is sick (with cancer). I'm not ordering from here again. It was desirable as delivery, but if I'm going to have to go out and get pizza I might as well hop in my car and drive to Dino's. Unless you live in a house, don't get Central Park pizza. read more

I found this place while on vacation in Los Angeles-- visiting the zoo with my family, I turned to Yelp to figure out a good, cheap, not crowded place to eat around 4 pm on a Saturday. We were all exhausted and just needed a place to crash and eat some filling, cheap, tasty lunch. Central Park Pizza was a great answer! About 15 min drive from the LA Zoo, it was a little hard to find for someone not native to the area (tip: look for the Bat Cage). There were no customers at the time (a few walk-ins for carry out) so my 3 year old could run around the arcade with impunity. The pizza was affordable, filling, greasy, and perfectly gooey NY style. I wish I had tried their gourmet flavors, but sticking to pepperoni I can vouch for the quality of the pie (loving the crust!) The garlic rolls were good too, though my friends were not impressed with the BBQ wings. I'll give Central Park Pizza a 4 because of pure nostalgic 80s ambiance, and the solid pepperoni pizza. read more

WTF!! Called today to order. Don't have Chicken Marsala Marinara anymore. I just check their website and it's on the menu. Same for the IBC root beer or cream sodas. That's happened before on the sodas but no biggie. Out of the desserts also. What killed me was when I tried to order their #4 combo pizza which was on their menu. Mozzarella, pizza sauce, mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers and onion. Normal, right? I have ordered this many times before. I was told that I could only have 2 toppings. Since when can you only get 2 toppings on a pizza? I have ordered from them for years. No more. I will take my business where I can get a pizza with more than 2 toppings. The pizza here is original and fresh and different than most. The different topping options are amazing and some of the house pizzas are a must try! Try the Tommy Lasorta! So it should be said that I am somewhat of a pizza snob. I like NY, specifically Brooklyn thin crust pizza. Since arriving in SoCal 30 years ago I can count on one hand the number of decent/acceptable pizza places I have found. The problem is I live in Burbank and every place I like is some distance away. Central Park cured that issue for me. I have never been in there but have ordered delivery at least 30 times before writing this review. The pizza is very good with excellent toppings and had always been delivered piping hot. Other things I have had that were equally good are; wings, antipasto salad, caesar salad, calzones, lasagna, ravioli, fettuccine alfredo and a few sandwiches I've ordered. The young lady that answers the phone is super friendly and the food is always delivered earlier than the time quoted. The girl asked me when I ordered if I wanted my soda now or w the pizza. I said with the pizza. Where do I even start?? We've been ordering from cpp for almost a decade and they never fail to impress! Their obviously homemade pizza is savory and fresh every time it arrives (our favorite is the roasted veggie). The pastas are irresistible we absolutely love the fettuccini alfredo. We needed to order 5 big pizzas, for viewing a horse show at the Burbank equestrian center, so we looked up best pizza in Burbank, this place came up. At first I was skeptical, because again the usual suspects came up (fresh brothers, etc...) it's been tough to find good pizza lately, but this place was actually pretty good, and I'm glad we went with them. First off their large pizzas are large, the delivery was within the hour, for a Saturday at 8pm, that's great. Their crust was good, and the flavor was there, it tasted like real pizza, real ingredients, not like these other pizzerias adding, sugar, oil, etc. to their sauce and dough. I'm going to go see them next time she m in the area and try them at their store, hopefully give them 5 stars... I was craving pizza so my friend Googled pizza places while I was driving. Central Park Pizza had the most stars and was close by. We pass CPP twice because all we saw was a batting cage place, then I noticed the sign. As we approach what looks like the concession stand at a league ball park I was EXTREMELY apprehensive, and even whispered "let's just leave" to my friend who failed to hear me and began placing his order. I'm from New Haven Connecticut which has a reputation for some of the best pizza in the USA and I have failed to find a pizza on the west coast that even comes close, until I ate that pizza from Central Park Pizza. Thin crust WITH THE BUBBLES AROUND THE EDGE, a sign that the crust is as it should be. Flavorful sauce and toppings a plenty I am now a regular customer. 4 stars because there is no parking, just street spots. I've walked over 2 blocks just to pick up before. The foods is wonderful, that might have been true. However never again! The coupons are worth next to nothing now that you price them out. They used to be great deals but as of late they might save you .50 cents off your order. I was a loyal and happy customer, word of mouth every chance I got, always fast and friendly delivery service, I always have my tip ready for the person who brings me my dinner. I RAVED about this place ordered at least once a week. Today however the "Manager" delivered my food. First he stuck his boot in my door and I asked him not to, he persisted, holding it open like an aggressive salesman. I told him I have three indoor cats and closed the door because he demanded to see his nearly worthless coupon. When I came back to the door there was his intrusive and aggressive boot holding my door wide open again! I told him I did not invite him in and that he needed to remove his foot, again trying to be polite, he grumbled took the money for the food and his unearned tip and started to walk away, I yelled after him that he could have at least said h was sorry, but he didn't respond. OH MY GOD! I am NEVER going to recommend or order from that place again. This is my home! I should not have to feel threatened or get a tummy ache from some brute before I eat my dinner. All the other delivery people have been wonderful, but this brutish tyrant is a definite misanthropic and made me feel unsafe in my own home, if my husband had not been home I would have thrown the hot food at him and slammed the door.
